The theater of operations” is apparently being prepared to justify escalation on both sides, while the US presidential election is being decided. On the one hand, the claim that Iran has no right to defend itself and there is a “blindness” to the fact that Israel bombed the Iranian consulate in Syria and assassinated a foreign dignitary on Iranian soil is interesting. It sounds puerile to argue that Israel is simply allowed to do whatever it wants and that it is illegal to defend itself, but that is how U.S. policy works.

On the other hand the intense bombings in Lebanon where Israel intentionally attacks the headquarters of UN forces with the presence of Spanish, Irish and Western soldiers, makes it clear that it prefers to ravage Lebanon without “inconvenient witnesses” like the UN blue helmets.

Israel attacks the headquarters of UN forces in Lebanon.

Lebanon’s National News Agency reports that several Sri Lankan peacekeepers were injured in another Israeli attack targeting the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) headquarters in southern Lebanon.

In a note, the UN mission points out several Israeli attacks in the last hours against their positions.
