Re: Jesus, wife, C's comments

This is several threads on the topic of Jesus merged together
Jesus, Yeshua, Jesinavarah
http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,1082.msg4930.html#msg4930

One of the threads is a collection of excerpts from C's transcripts, thanks to Thorbian, titled:
The life of Jesus in the Cassiopaean transcripts
http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,1082.msg54081.html#msg54081 .
.

Was going to quote some more C's regarding Jesus' wife and children, in addition to the one Seek10 quoted, but I suspect that this thread will be merged with the one mentioned above(?)

BTW, would this constitute a Hit for the C's?

While it's really interesting and fun to read these transcripts, there's so much more that goes along with understanding why the C's answers are so contrary to what religious folks have been led to believe.
Secret History of the World, by Laura K-J, fleshes out the biblical distortion of the Jesus myth and explores pre-Christian history/myths and carries forward what it means for us today. Excellent research!

For those who haven't read it and are interested in this subject...(maybe those commenting on the SOTT article regarding this topic) get it, read it and study it...and kindly tell your friends to get their own copy. :cool2:

This story of having a wife is being played out on the radio air waves, as well as SOTT and amusing the main stream media. I have never been catholic, so I'll just repeat what I've heard on the radio.

Catholic priests do not marry because Jesus was never married. I'm sure there is a great big a dogmatic definition on the reasons this is so. Now... While this wife issue spreads and creates commotion, what views will the catholics at large espouse?

edit: Clarification.
I mean about priest not marrying... Should a priest get married if jesus was married? I see a few dogfights coming.

Yes, clergy fights.... wooof! Grrrr! woof, woof!! Grrr... Grrr...
So there you have it and your predictions are true!

I'm pretty sure that the Pauline letters had a major contribution to the celibacy of priests, that it wasn't just that Jesus was single.

Paul argued that his celibacy provided means to better service to the church.

I was in meditation a few years ago on the subject of Judas, I found it troubling that a Disciple would Betray Christ. Then I looked into the Prophecy in the old testament and the words used there could and most probably mean 'reveal' and not Betray. I did a further study of Acts and discovered that the inconsistency in the two accounts of his death were perplexing. Did he Hang or dive head first into the valley of Blood. Then looking into the Greek it was evident that "he burst asunder in the midst thereof' Midst meant middle, therefore his middle burst open or his belly.

Years ago my preacher said that when his head separated from his body he fell onto the rocks below and his belly opened up.

Then the thought came to me that men have basically not changed only technology has changed and was given the thought that the following story may have happened.

Judas may have been trying to tell his family about Christ and they would not have any part of it. Now that Yahashua's popularity had grown so much they had to do something to stop him but every time they went out to get him he was spirited away.

They may have contacted Judas and basically said "you know you may be right, we need to sit down and have a face to face meeting with him."

Judas now being leery of their motives expressed such. Now the Pharisees were all about the money and power, not much different from today, offered Judas 30 pieces of silver, alot of money in that time, as assurance that they would do him no harm. Thereby Judas agreed.

Christ knowing that this must take place in order to fulfill prophesy knew and instructed Judas to when the time was right.

Once the Romans took Yahashua into custody Judas went to his family and confronted them with their promise to do him no harm and they laughed at him, 'what are you going to do about it.'

Judas then threw the silver at them, proclaiming that he would expose their treachery. They couldn't have that so they instructed the Guard to dispatch him post haste. Buying the valley of blood in his name where his body was found.

Makes more sense to me.

May Yah bless all who call upon his name.

Pardon my intrusion into this thoughtful discussion.

I see Judas as the love/emotion/understanding/hope in the heart of a disciple. This imperfect investment is founded on the disciple's best understanding of messiah. Inadequate from its foundations, that fervor fails find satisfaction and succumbs to instruction/lamed/30 fragments of silver understandings, losing faith in the gold understandings that do not fit his concept of what messiah should be and teach.

His righteous love is misappropriated and spells his doom in the realm of silver understandings.

The end shall not come unless there is a great falling away, first. Our basic expectations must fall away, or we will be left with silver understandings, along with Judas.

Welcome to the forum, b. I've got a couple questions. What do you consider a "disciple"? "Messiah"? I have some trouble understanding what you wrote above - maybe there is a language barrier. I'll just say that I agree with the statement that in general, it's often necessary that our basic expectations fall away. But there are also basic assumptions. And there are a lot of assumptions surrounding ideas like "disciple" and "messiah", and Christianity, Judaism, and the Bible in general.
