Jordan Peterson: Gender Pronouns and Free Speech War

This idea of a 'third gender' is still very confusing to me. So, if you are in a male body, that's one gender. But if you feel like a woman, that's a second gender. And because you are then neither male nor female, you 'adopt' a third gender and identify as that choice whatever that choice is? So, you've split your 'identity' into three (or more?) parts? It sounds like Tom Riddle and his Horcruxes.
I honestly wonder if they realize that eventually, once you extrapolate this experiment of playing with people's identity to its natural conclusion, you will get to individuals. Everyone's an individual.

But also, how interesting it is that the level of definition of identity that they're pushing on people is similar to the one that a baby undergoes as they develop theory of mind: "I am special and unique and the center of the universe"... although they eventually grow out of it and realize that there are other human beings, and that they're not that special.

What a reversal of growth.

Eh, that seems like a pretty extreme take. I don't know that JBP has really shown a "lust for adulation, prestige, wealth, etc." Yes he's blind about Israel and pretty terrible at understanding geopolitics as a whole. But the above is quite the leap from that.

Yes.
Yes he's blind about Israel and pretty terrible at understanding geopolitics as a whole.

Again yes, and known for a while. Here was the Middle East Eye's take on what JP X'ed (FWIW):

Some critics also suggested that Peterson's post may have been influenced by his employer, Ben Shapiro, who is the founder of The Daily Wire.

Perhaps, and it was the DW and Shapiro himself who lead JP to sup with Bibi, who then serenaded his guest on the 'whole' of Israels history while they dinned. The violins seemed to be out in force that night and JP took in the notes, and is still humming the tune.

Here is Yasir Qadhi who "SLAMS Jordan Peterson Over Israel" - he does not say much other than to remind what the Palestinian field looks like since 47.

As some may know, James Lindsay was recently in Alberta at Take Back Canada events - cancel culture et al.

Here is a brief interview from October 5th, 2023:

Ezra asked Dr. Lindsay what surprised him about Canada.

"There's so much more energy in Canada to fight back against woke, to fight back against tyranny than I expected to see," Lindsay said. "I'll just tell you the truth. I thought it was going to be very passive. I didn't think it's going to be anything like this. I saw Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, atheists, people of every race coming together."

Watching JP disintegrate on Twitter over the war in Israel is very sad to see. For someone so astute to be so blind, is like watching a once wise, but now false prophet slowly become the monster he's been warning us about.

I hope for his sake that Jordan Peterson will reconsider his comments. He's a sensitive man but there are things he doesn't understand, we saw when he was in favor of "vaccination" for the Covid. And he suffered the consequences. I think, if I'm not mistaken, he's changed his mind about those damned vaccines.

But in fact, as we see so many things and so many people unmasking themselves, we have to look at this with interest, a study of the human, nobody is perfect and especially not this kind of person who is caught up with success and with public opinion.

Whether he's pro-Israel or not, it doesn't change my personal opinion of what's going on in Israel.

We also cannot discount the influence of JP's high powered Hollywood agency - CAA - on the staunch pro-Israeli position he takes.

"Jordan Peterson has signed up with the Creative Arts Agency. CAA is a big lefty media company which represents famous names like Joe Biden, Lady Gaga, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin and David Beckham."

CAA - Creative Artists Agency
Creative Artists Agency (CAA) was formed by five agents at the William Morris Agency in 1975.[6] At a dinner, Michael Ovitz, Michael S. Rosenfeld, Ronald Meyer, Rowland Perkins, and William Haber decided to create their own agency.

- Micheal Ovitz was born to a Romanian Jewish family[1][2][3] in Chicago, Illinois
- Ron Meyer was born in Los Angeles in 1944, to Jewish immigrant parents who escaped Nazi Germany in 1939
- Micael Rosenfeld was born in Philadelphia. He was of Jewish descent.[3]

CAA's client list is a veritable who's who of liberal Hollywood elite...

It might be interesting to compare the list of CAA clients above with the flight log of visitors to Epstein Island.

It's generally understood in media circles that the "agents" of famous people hold a lot of sway as to what their clients can say and do and what positions they are allowed to take in regards to certain political issues. They are often regarded as "handlers".

Going off the reservation in this sense, even slightly, can mean loss of income, livelihood, power, influence and prestige for the client, and can even lead to direct targeted harassment and cancellation in the media.

I may be misremembering, but I believe JP joined CAA shortly after his battle with depression over his wife's illness and the aftermath of his own near death experiences battling benzodiazepine addiction and subsequent treatment in Russia.

It seems plausible to me that JP's alignment with Ben Shapiro and the Daily Wire and later interviews with Netan-Yahoo and all the pro-Israeli tweets that came after were nudged along, directed, or influenced by actors within this agency.

So, is JBP cancelled for us? I hadn't really been paying him much attention but I read his weekly newsletter. In a practical sense, his message is still relevant, right? Everything you do matters, clean your room, consider others have something to say, etc.? The message is still good and he was just delivering it and has a weak perspective on some areas of knowledge. We hope he might come around, but it will take a large amount of suffering?

I think it'll come down to the usual process of weeding the truth from the fabrications. Separate the message from the messenger. Sure, there is plenty of value in his work, but I don't hold out any hope for him to have a change of heart on critical matters. He's a stubborn old bugger, like many other people with faulty convictions I think it'll take a wee trip to 5d to initiate a true metanoia. Just goes to show that however smart a person may be, those blind spots require the input of others to correct. I think he lives in a liberal Zionist bubble, and that's not to say he's being consciously deceived by those around him; rather I think that his foundational beliefs (and those of his close associates) are too deeply entrenched to be easily corrected.

I don't think it's wise to entirely dismiss his body of work on self-improvement (his area of expertise). However, at the moment, he is not the 'man-of-the-hour' in terms of objectivity, because his emotions have clouded his judgment, especially with regards to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Maybe a little cosmic shock will put his emotional train back on track...
Q: (L) So, it's their wounds, their programming, their buffers as Gurdjieff says, that keeps them all pointing in dozens of different directions with different opinions, ideas, wounds, fears, and so on. And that prevents unity. Is there anything that can change that?
A: Sure!

Q: [laughter] (L) What?
A: Work or a huge shock!

Q: (Perceval) A huge shock like a giant fireball? Giant meteorite or an earthquake?
A: Some cosmic activity might do it provided the seeds of knowledge have been planted as you have been doing for years now. As we once said, from the fire comes light. There are several levels of meaning there.

Speaking for myself, I don't believe in 'cancelling'. Everything must be considered, one issue at a time. So yeah, it's true that in so many areas regarding the social, psychological and philosophical JP has made great contributions and I feel that many people, myself included, benefited from that.

Yet at the same time, his opinions on Israel-Palestine have the understanding and discernment of a ten year old. It is very puzzling and upsetting to me how he can see so much in one area and so little in another. If he insists on that nonsense I'm afraid he may suffer brain damage out of the seer contradiction. I ranted about his Middle East comments here.

Andrew Tate's two cents on JP's latest messaging.

In my opinion, Andrew Tate is a narcissist at best, probably a sociopath, and not a very smart one. I don't even know why attracted so much attention. If he is attacking JP's posts on the ME crisis, it has nothing to do with morality or understanding. It's just because recently JP made some comments putting Andrew Tate into question, so AT is getting back at him. JP should have questioned Tate a lot earlier - I mean, it wasn't hard to see. Then again, JP thinks Netanyahu is a good guy, so there's that.
