Occupy Wall Street Video Project

So our two uploaded videos have been mirrored on a dozen sites and the combined hits everywhere approaching the 25,000. ;D

Because of this good feedback (also hundreds of comments and hundred of 'likes') I went ahead and launched a "Kickstarter" campaign to tray to raise money for a full fledge documentary on psychopathy. "Kickstarter is an online platform that helps people obtain grassroots funding for creative projects through the internet. However you have to set a budget and a deadline and you have to stick to it.
The way it works is that people pledge the money with their credit cards but do not get charged until the goal is reached. If it doesn't get reached no credit card will be charged at al, so it is kind of all or nothing deal.

We are trying to raise $60,000 by the end of February :scared:

Here is the link to our project. Please feel free to forward and proliferate on facebook, twitter, per email to your friends etc.
Every dollar counts.

As I said on Facebook and Twitter, if there's one documentary that NEEDS to be made, it's this.

$60k is a lot though, and I've found with Kickstarter projects that anything over $5k requires some sort of dedicated fan base or audience. But I think this is something that a large portion of the forum here would like to get behind. And that could make a big difference!

Anyway, I pledged for this project and strongly encourage everyone reading this to pledge with me! All you need to do is hit the big green PLEDGE button and spare $10 or $25 if you want the DVD. The money isn't taken until the project is finished -- and only if it's successful! So what are you waiting for?

Good luck, Fifth Way!

Oh and you could update your YouTube video descriptions to include the kck.st links too!
[Edit: I see you've added the descriptions already! Heh.)

I've pledged.
I had some difficulties to pledge money and share it on Facebook but in the End it worked.

maybe we could bring it up on SOTT to get more attention ?

did you interview all those people ?

maybe you can get in contact with rather famous people like Robert Hare too.

Hey it's a super cool project, and thanks for using my illustration (need more of that ? you know where to find me ;))

I'll pledge some money as well.

Thank you so much for the pledge!!!! :D :D

It was late last night when I finished with setting it up and uploading more videos to Vimeo and YouTube but, yes, I plan to send something to Sott this weekend. I need to write a sort of press release. This I will also send to all the blogs that have mirrored the other two videos and to sites that deal with psychopath awareness. If anybody knows additional sites, blogs and forums focusing on psychopathy, psychopathology and self help against manipulative people, please share it here.

Here are the new uploads from the trailer:

Thank you Nathan, I saw that first thing this morning. :) Its great. Yes $60k is a lot and it frightens me to death attempting to raise this but the doc will require considerable flying around to get to the people we want on the screen. But it is even LESS than what I budgeted and I know how to produce inexpensively. I only need 2400 backers that "pre-buy" the film by pledging $25 or 600 backers that pledge $100 :scared:

You know I am your biggest fan!!!
I have been using this graphic all along while I was privately shopping this project around. It is good that people will see it now though. It was on the shelf too long already.

Yes I may need more graphics and will email you directly about it soon.

And thanks for the pledge as well. ;D :D

Very valuable project - made a pledge and will pass around the video trailer. Great effort Fifth Way!

Yeah I kicked in a grand, this needs to be made and distributed.

I'd like to see emphasis on the corporate psychopaths as well as how they can utterly destroy/traumatize people in relationships. Fifth do you have a general outline yet?

That was really awesome and literally kickstarted the project. :cool2: Thanks to that we go 3% funding on the first day. If that trend continues (which will require major promoting work) we will actually be able to reach the goal.

I fixed the sound on both clips (it had voice on one channel and music on the other - now both is on both).

But I didn't want to re-upload them on YouTube as I am pretty happy with the amount of views.
So I uploaded them on vimeo instead. I think it is also a good idea to have the videos in more than place.

I forgot to mention but you can do an "audioswap" on YouTube that won't affect your views. That feature is in place mostly to give people an opportunity to replace copyrighted music without having to take down the whole video and start from scratch.

Great work and good luck with raising the money !

Only thing I saw and imo the black & white sequences seem to be a bit underexposed and grainy.

I can not like or share your videos on youtube ?

has anyone the same problem ?
