Producing just 1 kg of honey is an impressive feat for bees, who collectively cover around 240,000 km on their foraging flights. This journey involves around 40,000 bees visiting some 60,000,000 flowers to collect the nectar needed to produce honey.
The number of flowers needed to produce 1 kilogram of honey varies according to several factors, including the type of flowers foraged by the bees, the season, climate and other environmental conditions.
In general, estimates vary, but it is estimated that bees need to forage between 2 and 5 million flowers to produce around 1 kilogram of honey. This also depends on the type of nectar and the concentration of sugar in the flowers' nectar.
In short, it's a titanic task.

I didn't know they could climb!!!
GREY RENARDS are unique in the canid family, in that they are one of only two canid species that climb trees.
They have rotating wrists and semi-retractable claws that help them climb to higher ground for shelter, food or escape from predators.
