I did some cursory research of the origins of Drag Queen Story Hour; snippets:
- Drag Queen Story Hour is the brainchild of author Michelle Tea and her RADAR Productions. It's now a "global phenomenon," according to dragqueenstoryhour.org. The organization is based in New York City.
- However, in emails and texts, Drag Queen Story Hour spokesman Jonathan Hamilt provided photos of other drag queens. He said story hours are for children 3-8 years old. He said it was started in 2015 and the New York headquarters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
"What drag does is point out the silliness, the thrill and the powerful feelings of questioning societal expectations," said Hamilt in an email Thursday. "Drag questions the authority of gender norms, which can be very empowering for kids, especially for kids who don’t necessarily fit into rigid or prescribed gender roles where they may frequently find themselves."
- On Thursday, Smolen told the Sun that "zero" tax dollars are being used to pay for the event, which is all volunteer based.
Drag Queen Story Hour coming to library

CONWAY — Next month, the Conway Public Library will be hosting Drag Queen Story Hour, which is being billed as a family-friendly event; however, some question if it's an appropriate activity for children.
The story hour will be held June 28 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Ham Community Room of the library. One of the books the drag queens will read is "Red, A Crayon's Story," by Michael Hall. The plot is described online as "a blue crayon mistakenly labeled as 'red' suffers an identity crisis in this picture book by the New York Times–bestselling author."

Library Director David Smolen has identified the readers as
"Crystal" and
"Mimi."

Other books that may be read at the story hour are: "Neither" by Airlie Anderson, "Worm Loves Worm" by J.J. Austrian, "Introducing Teddy" by Jessica Walton, "Jacob's New Dress" by Sarah and Ian Hoffman, "Teddy's Favorite Toy" by Christian Trimmer, "Isabella, Star of the Story" by Jennifer Fosberry, "Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress" by Christine Baldacchino, "I Like Myself" by Karen Beaumont and "10,000 Dresses" by Marcus Ewert.

Crystal Demure - "The love child of Della Reese and Luther Vandross (both in their slender phases). A vocal giant with a voice like peanut butter cookies."
Mimi Imfurst - "She has a healthy sense of rage beneath the glamour."

Once upon a time, at a public library in San Francisco, a drag queen arrived at story time and read to the children she met there.
The children — no strangers to playing make believe — had fun, and soon the idea of drag queens hosting story time spread to New York.
It was an unconventional idea, both for the normally staid libraries and the drag queens, many of whom were more accustomed to hosting night-life events than M.C.-ing daytime singalongs.
But it quickly caught on.
Today, four years after that first event,
drag performers regularly entertain children at libraries and community centers in progressive enclaves like New York and Los Angeles as well as red-state towns like
Juneau, Alaska, and
Lincoln, Neb.
“I guess the backlash is growing because it is getting more popular,” said
Jonathan Hamilt, who co-founded Drag Queen Story Hour, a New York-based nonprofit that has helped organize many of the events. He also did the first New York event in 2016 as his drag alter ego, Ona Louise.
The Drag Queen Story Hour nonprofit has 35 chapters in the United States and five overseas, Mr. Hamilt said. And drag performances for children, unaffiliated with the organization, have become more common across the country in recent years.
The backlash entered the halls of the Ohio State House last week when Speaker Larry Householder condemned drag queen story time in
a letter to the Ohio Library Council. He called the events “a stunningly bizarre breach of the public trust.”
His letter says he respects the First Amendment, and adds
“I can also assure you the taxpayers aren’t interested in seeing their hard-earned dollars being used to teach teenage boys how to become drag queens.”
Soon afterward, two libraries in central Ohio canceled drag events after receiving what the library council said were
“hostile threats.”
Next week, Emerson R. Miller Library in Newark was slated to hold “Galaxy of Diversity: A LGBTQ Teen Event,” while the Delaware County District Library would host a “Drag 101” class led by former “Miss” Gay Ohio America and local drag queen Selena T. West, Cleveland.com
reports. Organizers billed the former as an arts and crafts project and “safe sex” education program with an “optional make-up tutorial.”
West claimed that the purpose of the “Drag 101” class was to show that “drag is for everyone,” including children, and is neither scary nor sexual, the
Columbus Dispatch adds. Speaker Larry Householder responded to the plans with a letter to the Ohio Library Council declaring that he “expect(s) this to end immediately”:
“Each and every day across Ohio, libraries are playing an important role in helping our students through literacy programs, book clubs and other enrichment activities,” he wrote. “These and other initiatives, like educating young people on the dangers of drugs or teaching them technology skills, are the types of programs and activities on which the taxpayers hope to see their libraries focused.”
“Our libraries are an incubator for thought and ideas, for debate and discussion,” Householder argued. “On this point, we all can agree. But I can also assure you the taxpayers aren’t interested in seeing their hard-earned dollars being used to teach teenage boys how to become drag queens.”
Soon afterward, “Galaxy of Diversity” was canceled and “Drag 101” moved from the library to a local comic shop. The Delaware County library says it received hundreds of calls about the event, including “veiled threats,” while the Newark library claimed that it had gotten too difficult to repel “misinformation” surrounding its event.
The Newark Ohio Pride Coalition responded to Householder’s letter
with a statement stressing that
no public money financed the “Galaxy of Diversity” event and insinuating that the speaker was opposing LGBT Ohioans’ “freedom of expression and speech” and “civil liberties.”
While the organizers insist that their events promoted only healthy, age-appropriate messages, the world of drag is
infamous for heavy sexual content. A related trend, Drag Queen Storytimes directed at children in public libraries, has been described by performers themselves as meant
to give children “unabashedly queer role models” and to “groom” the next generation.
The real "hostile threat":
"That [Ohio] budget includes more than
$400 million per year for a state library system that has traditionally been one of the best funded in the nation."
--Sunday, June 2, 2019 Columbus Dispatch pg B2
Yeah - Larry Householder absolutely has the power governing that funding!

This is what the Left has become: Targeting retarded children for transgender indoctrination
That any so-called “parent” would allow his or her child to be exposed to such filth, let alone participate in it, proves that America and the West are finished. Not only that, but such abominations are now being mainstreamed in both news and entertainment, with outlets like The New York Times, HBO, VICE, and Netflix churning out a steady stream of pro-LGBTQP propaganda towards this end.
The latest perverse fetish of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and pedophile (LGBTQP) cult is to prey on young children with mental disabilities, including little ones with Down syndrome or autism, and exploit them as transgender drag queens for sexual entertainment. During a recen

After viewing the video at the beginning of this post, it should now be obvious why child porn was planted on Alex Jones' server for his Infowars website. And it's also obvious how gay pride has been exalted beyond all reason into a super event that has gone way beyond abolishing homosexual persecution/discrimination - which good people understand is generally wrong - to giving a green light to any and all sexual expression because it's politically incorrect to catagorize anyone's sexual activities as perverse or despicable. Any disagreement is on par with anti-semitism > one simply cannot criticize anything to do with this movement without being castigated! Sadly, I can no longer associate rainbows as anything but LGBTTQQIAAP (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, ally, pansexual) - except the last P is really for pedophilia and another B should be thrown in for beastiality (also on the upswing).
Mike Adams (Natural News) is right - America and the West are finished.
