"Pizzagate" Explodes

Jim Caviezel in the Peterson Interview sounds like he's still processing the horrors he's seen. The older interview I saw of him talking about Sound of Freedom (that's how I got introduced to the movie), he didn't sound as rough, but it was also a shorter interview (may something like 10 mins?). :-(

Saw Sound of Freedom last night in the theater. As Peterson mentions in the interview with Ballard and Caviezel, the film is powerful because it focuses on the loss of specific children/characters - even if the point of the story is to bring awareness to a MUCH larger problem. This allows for an emotional connection to the story (and the problem as a whole) in a way, perhaps, that documentaries don't do necessarily, though I haven't seen Operation Toussaint yet.

Noticed Caviezel's very slow delivery in his responses to Peterson too, Lindrie, and mentioning this observation to a few friends I saw the picture with - one thought was that he's totally exhausted by the number of interviews he's doing lately but I imagine, also, that he's under a great amount of stress due to attacks that he may be under in the media, and possibly elsewhere. Thought his understated portrayal of Holland in the film was quite good, btw.

Maybe the following is obvious, but I think one reason Sound of Freedom is so incredibly successful is that, aside from it just being a good film, there is a segment of the population that is more than ready, and hungry even, for truthful and meaningful and entertaining content - that speaks to how sick much of our world is right now. A movie like this validates and acknowledges people's correct sense of this sickness, and gives them "permission" to affirm their higher values as so little of the corporate media and entertainment industry does in these times.

Kevin Spacey took a dramatic pause in his testimony Thursday and appeared to almost choke up as he recalled the “intimate” and “somewhat sexual” friendship he shared with a man now accusing the actor of violently groping him. He said he was “crushed” when he learned of the allegations.

“I never thought that (the man) I knew would … 20 years later stab me in the back,” Spacey testified in his own defense in his sexual assault trial in what could be the most consequential speaking part of his life.

Spacey spoke in a calm voice and earnest demeanor — humorous, humble and self-deprecating at times — as he breezed over his career and then fast-forwarded to the early 2000s when he was in London working at the Old Vic Theatre.

Hollywood downplays the No1 box office hit premiere of the Saw Sound of Freedom

Jul 13, 2023 9:20am PT
AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron and “Sound of Freedom” distributor Angel Studios have joined forces to quell a boycott against the exhibition chain over the release of the Jim Caviezel action movie. Social media users have accused AMC of purposely disrupting “Sound of Freedom” screenings following accusations that the hit film stokes QAnon conspiracy theories (Rolling Stone, for instance, slammed “Sound of Freedom” as a “QAnon-tinged thriller”). Claims include AMC canceling screenings and disrupting showtimes with technical difficulties and broken air conditioning.

“Sadly, conspiracy theorists are so prevalent in America. So much garbage information is spread,” Aron wrote on Twitter. “More than ONE MILLION people have watched ‘Sound of Freedom’ at AMC Theatres. More than at any other theatre chain on the planet. Yet people falsely claim otherwise. It is so bizarre.”

Written and directed by Alejandro Monteverde, “Sound of Freedom” is based on the true story of Tim Ballard. “The Passion of the Christ” star Caviezel plays a former government agent who embarks on a mission to rescue children from sex traffickers in Colombia. Mira Sorvino and Bill Camp co-star.

“Sound of Freedom” has proven to be an unexpected box office hit since its release on July 4. The movie had an opening day gross of $14.2 million, and it went on to earn another $18.2 million over its first weekend. “Sound of Freedom” held the second spot at the Wednesday, July 12 box office, trailing behind only Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.” Its current gross stands at just over $53 million.

Angel Studios is behind the “Sound of Freedom” release and used a “Pay It Forward” app to encourage moviegoers to buy tickets for others to see the film. About $2.6 million of opening day sales were earned through this method. The studio released a statement stressing to fans that AMC is supporting “Sound of Freedom.”

“We understand there are rumors — predominantly in social media — that AMC theaters have made it difficult for fans to see ‘Sound of Freedom’ in local AMC theaters, and we want to make it clear these rumors are not accurate,” Angel Studios’ head of theatrical distribution Brandon Purdie said. “AMC has been an outstanding partner for Angel Studios, and in fact, as a result of the movie’s performance and consumer demand, AMC has agreed to add additional screens for ‘Sound of Freedom’ this weekend.”

Purdie added, “Angel Studios and the producers of ‘Sound of Freedom’ are asking our fans to support AMC, and all of our other theatrical partners. Summer is the busiest season for people working in theaters, so we ask that anyone attending a screening of ‘Sound of Freedom’ show kindness to their local theater staff. We have the best movie fans in the business. Let’s continue to show theaters the love that Angel supporters are known for.”

Angel Studios reports that more than 450 new theaters will screen “Sound of Freedom” starting June 14.

Meanwhile: LOL!

Kevin Spacey has addressed his controversial 2017 statement in which he came out as gay in response to Anthony Rapp’s accusation of sexual misconduct.

“Members of the LGBTQ+ community were upset because I came out while I was responding to an accusation and now I understand why it was read that way,” Spacey told a court in London, U.K. “It wasn’t how I intended it.” The actor is giving evidence in the third week of his trial at Southwark Crown Court. He has pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of sexual assault against four different men.

In 2017, Rapp was the first man to come forward publicly with his allegation of sexual misconduct, telling Buzzfeed the “House of Cards” actor had made sexual advances towards Rapp at a party when Rapp was 14 years old.

Spacey set out the circumstances surrounding the statement, which was widely condemned by peers at the time including Billy Eichner, Zachary Quinto and Rose McGowan. GLAAD also criticized Spacey, with the org’s CEO Sarah Kate Ellis saying at the time: “Coming-out stories should not be used to deflect from allegations of sexual assault.”

Spacey told the U.K. court on Thursday that after he was approached by Buzzfeed regarding Rapp’s allegation he had a series of calls with his team – including lawyers, publicists and business managers – to decide how to respond.

“People were being professionals and they did their best,” Spacey told the U.K, court on Thursday but added: “I was under a lot of pressure that I had to say something. That it would be a PR nightmare if I didn’t.”

He said some members of his team disagreed with the course of action but they took a vote and ultimately released a statement in which Spacey revealed he was gay.

“I understand why people responded the way they did to it,” Spacey said.

Spacey added that he had been planning to come out publicly for a long time and had considered doing it two years earlier at an event (which he didn’t name). “The gay community had been pressuring me for a very long time about coming out,” he said.

The actor added that he hadn’t planned to come out in response to the Buzzfeed story but had hoped it would at least “do something at least positive [and] put the question of my sexuality behind me.”

“Maybe now the allegation against me by Anthony Rapp has been proven to be false, maybe people will read that statement with a little bit more understanding now,” he said.

During his first day in the witness stand on Thursday, Spacey said he had hardly worked in the six years since Rapp first spoke to Buzzfeed.

Asked by his barrister, Patrick Gibbs KC, whether he had once been a rich man, Spacey replied: “I was very fortunate in the career I had.”
“Are you a rich man now?” asked Gibbs.

Citing his lack of income and large legal bills, Spacey simply replied: “No.”

DOJ Quietly Removes Child Sex Trafficking Information From Its Website

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has quietly taken down a series of sections from its website related to both domestic and international child sex trafficking, including a portion that offers information about U.S. minors being “recruited and exploited” into the commercial sex industry.

According to an archived version of the website, the agency previously provided detailed information about “International Sex Trafficking of Minors,” “Domestic Sex Trafficking of Minors,” and “Child Victims of Prostitution.”

The updated version of the webpage completely erased all three sections, which were added during President Donald Trump’s tenure on May 28, 2020, to counsel Americans about tactics that are being used by pimps and human traffickers targetting vulnerable children and luring them into prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation using psychological manipulation.

In the top section under “Child Sex Trafficking”—which is still in the updated version of the website—the DOJ also erased the following paragraph.

“After cultivating a relationship with the child and engendering a false sense of trust, the trafficker will begin engaging the child in prostitution, and use physical, emotional, and psychological abuse to keep the child trapped in a life of prostitution. It is common for traffickers to isolate victims by moving them far away from friends and family, altering their physical appearances, or continuously moving them to new locations. Victims are heavily conditioned to remain loyal to the trafficker and to distrust law enforcement.”

The new version shows at the bottom of the website that the DOJ updated it in mid-May, roughly three years after the Trump administration added additional information highlighting how child sex trafficking is a major issue in the United States.

During his time in office, Mr. Trump made fighting human trafficking a key goal of his administration and often spoke publicly about the issue. He signed an executive order in January 2020 aimed to eliminate human trafficking and online child exploitation in the United States, which required resources to be directed into areas that would result in the prosecution of offenders, assist victims, and expand prevention education programs about the issue.

Response

While it is unclear what could have led to the website’s revision, the vice president of an American think tank foundation called the move typical of Democrat-led administrations.

“For some reason, people on the Left get really uncomfortable and defensive talking about child sexual exploitation,” said Roger Severino, the Heritage Foundation’s Vice President of Domestic Policy, the Washington Examiner reported.

“Republican administrations direct more resources to child and human sex trafficking, and then Democratic administrations pull that back,” Mr. Severino continued. “They treat it almost as a distraction from some things they consider to be more important.”

Mr. Severino also said that the process to change information on the DOJ’s website is a strenuous effort, noting it “clearly had to go through several layers of review” prior to being modified.

In a statement on July 11, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) linked the DOJ’s move to a New York Times report suggesting the Department of Health and Human Services lost contact with thousands of unaccompanied alien children (UAC) who have been caught up in child smuggling and child labor operations.

“The DOJ specifically deleted a section that implicated the Biden Administration’s open-border policies in correlation to the sex trafficking of children,” Ms. Luna said. The deleted portion read, “One form of sex trafficking involved the cross-border transportation of children. In these situations, traffickers recruit and transfer children across international borders in order to sexually exploit them in another country.”

“DOJ’s blatant move to distance Joe Biden’s harmful policies from the global crime of sex trafficking should be no surprise to any of us who have seen the blatant sexualization and abuse of children this administration is comfortable with promoting,” she added.

Data from Customs and Border Protection shows that around 345,000 minors have come across the U.S. border unaccompanied since early 2021 when President Joe Biden took office.

Ms. Luna noted that the development also coincides with the release of the anti-child trafficking film “Sound of Freedom,” a movie some legacy media outlets have painted in a negative light by trying to link it to QAnon conspiracy theories.

“This also prefaced the Sound of Freedom release, a film that has underscored the horrific violation of human dignity by the international sex trade and the perpetrators of it,” she said.

Despite the attacks, the Jim Caviezel film continues to top the box office and has made more than $45 million at the box office since its July 4 release. The movie largely revolves around Homeland Security agent Tim “Timoteo” Ballard’s relentless pursuit of a child who was trafficked in Colombia.

I read Anna Salter's book "Predators: Pedophiles, Rapists and Other Sex Offenders" back in the day, and I remember one of the shocking aspects of it was how widespread child molestation is.

I was reminded of the book as I came across a Youtube Shorts video, a snippet from a discussion where Matt Brown was being interviewed. He is a New Zealader, who has had a difficult childhood himself (family violence and childhood sexual abuse) and does domestic violence advocacy work with his wife nowadays.

In the snippet he mentioned, how he and his wife forbad their daughter from participating sleepovers in her friends' houses until she was 18 years old. The rationale was, that he would not be able to make sure what kind of people the adults were, who had "access" to his daughter. Naturally, the daughter didn't take it well, but Matt said (knowing the worst case scenario) that if her parents being strict would be the only "trauma" she has, he would be fine with that.

When the daughter eventually turned 18, she said that for her birthday, she will go to a sleepover party at her friend's house.
However, she ended up calling her parents late at night, crying. She wanted to thank them for being strict, as it turned out that all of the other five girls that were present at that sleepover, had been abused during the earlier sleepovers when they were younger. Apparently, if you removed sleepovers totally, you would eliminate 90% of the sexual abuse of children (in NZ)!

Here's the full interview (the part about sleepovers: 55:06-59:05)

Go ahead and read the NY Post short 1 minute read. Very disturbing details that we know child predators deal in.

Key takeaway from NYpost: "Meek served as a senior counterterrorism advisor and investigator for the US House Committee on Homeland Security starting in 2011."

This is the claim from valuetainment:
"Former ABC News reporter, James Gordon Meek, who bragged about ‘debunking’ evidence of an elite pedophile ring dubbed ‘Pizzagate’ was arrested and pled guilty to child pornography charges."

One other source:

How this all got started 9ish months ago, just the way several news sources gave very iffy info at the time. 🙄

Oh my, even wiki confirms his stint with:
"In 2011, Meek left the Daily News to serve as a senior counter-terrorism investigator for the House Committee on Homeland Security.[45][58] He noted that he was unsure why Congressman Peter King had offered him the role and it seemed like a spontaneous choice"

I m not exactly sure how valuetainment came to their statement that Meek was involved with "debunking pizzagate" as an senior advisor/investigator of counterterrorism for the House Committee. There are also several vague sources online that say as much, with no hyperlinks or direct sources, ie city-data. What is really interesting is that Meeks does not seem to have written anything during or post the pizzagate 2016/17 timeline.

I m not discounting his history or wiki having been scrubbed of the pizza topic, but it does lend credence that he may have been involved or by association with Homeland Security, NDA basically to not write about it. Either way, scumbag like him in media, gov, and revolving door of influence and power; go to such lengths to hurt children for his sick fetishes. Glad he is shamed and off the streets, but sadly he toke the plea deal, and we know how they treat one of their own, slap on the wrist, eg hunter biden.
