The first case is even more shocking to me. The baby was fed strictly on mother's milk (so at least no nonsense food) and still died of vitamin deficiency. So when you are on a vegan diet you are not capable of healthy motherhood because you won't simply deliver sufficiently nutritional mother's milk to your baby. I actually never thought of that but it makes perfect sense. Where there's nothing coming in, the body won't miraculously create the right stuff out of thin air. I've never connected the dots here before. GeezeI came across this list of vegan children deaths and injuries. In one case an infant died of starvation due to being fed soya milk and apple juice. Probably because mother's milk isn't vegan. Just how much more retarded can this logic get??

According to a ‘palace insider’ who spoke to Woman’s Day, the Royal couple has decided to raise their upcoming baby as a vegan.
It must be noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shifted to a plant-based diet for most of the time (not implying they’re vegan). The couple met not more than three years ago and as per reports, Meghan Markle’s take on a healthy and cruelty-free lifestyle (Prince Harry sometimes following her) clashed with some royal protocols.
According to reports by Woman’s Day, Her Majesty is unhappy with Meghan and Prince Harry’s decision to raise a vegan child. As reported, the queen ‘won’t have it,’ as she is outraged by the 37-year-old Duchess’ choice, implying she is not impressed by Prince and Markle’s decision, a bit.

As of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to News.au, Prince Harry had been reportedly choosing “less meat and more fruit and veg” from the time he’d met Meghan Markle, who herself maintains only plant-based diet during the weekdays. And now they’ve planned to raise a vegan baby. The couple reportedly opted for a vegan paint for their nursery and painted it gender-neutral grey and white. Markle herself tries to abstain for fashion that has animal cruelty like fur in it. Nonetheless, the Queen is apparently furious with their decision of raising a vegan child.
Implying his dislike for traditions that harming animal, the Duke of Sussex has earlier opted out certain Royal Traditions that partake in animal cruelty like the Royal Family’s yearly bird hunting expedition in 2018, and the traditional Boxing Day Hunt in 2017.
Why Raise a Vegan Child?
With reports claiming 1 in every 12 parents choosing to raise a vegan baby predominantly for health-related reasons, no wonder if Meghan Markle finally raises her baby a vegan, it will be great for both baby and planet. On the contrary, the animal-based diet has been associated with a number of health alignments like heart diseases, diabetes and cancer, and even early death.

Among many plannings, the Duke and Duchess had reportedly planned to raise the baby as a vegan but Queen had shown her disapproval on the matter. And now the baby is finally here.

Their one and a half-year-old daughter weighed the same as a six-month baby and was a few hours from death by starvation by the time her parents brought her to the emergency room, where doctors saved her life.
The Swedish couple, who are vegan, claimed that she had been suffering from a stomach bug.
But prosecutors argued that the girl had been pushed to the brink of death by a diet driven by the strange ideologies of the couple, who claimed to be “world citizens,” refused to give her supplements despite her vegan diet and espoused the virtues of a lifestyle without food and water.
On May 23, the Gothenburg District Court pronounced them both guilty of causing bodily harm by gross negligence and sentenced to three months imprisonment.
The girl has been in an emergency foster home since she was taken to Queen Silvia’s children’s hospital in February.
“The parents have stated that they have given the girl child plenty of well-balanced, nutritious and varied vegan diet,” said the court judgment. “Their explanation for the girl’s condition and very low weight—similar to that of a six-month baby—on arrival at the emergency room was that she had suffered a five-day, severe stomach disorder.”
However, the judge accepted the testimony of three doctors, who said that it was clear that her condition had been caused by prolonged starvation.
“According to her ideological belief that the daughter was a world citizen, her parents have failed to even report birth to any authority and have failed to control her at the child care center or even weigh or measure her growth. The girl has also not been vaccinated or examined by a doctor.”
The court noted that a vegan diet in itself is not inherently dangerous, but said that such a diet requires detailed knowledge of the art of cooking and nutritional science to be healthy.
According to nutritionists, some substances—most notably vitamin B12—cannot be found in a vegan diet, but can easily be added through supplements.
The court could not establish exactly what her parents had been feeding her—only that it was far from enough and far being well enough adapted.
The chairman of the court said the parents did not intentionally harm their daughter and had acted in accordance with their beliefs about what was best for their child.
At the same time, the court also noted concerns over those beliefs.
“For example, during her interrogation, the mother has explained her view that after long-term mental and physical exercise one can achieve a stage where one can live without food or water, that one is then a so-called breatharian.”
The district court has assessed the penalty value to 3 months imprisonment. The parents must also pay damages to the daughter with SEK 60,000. ($6,200)
According to Expressen, the father said that meat products are toxic and that their daughter instead received breast milk and vegan products.
When asked whether she received any nutritional supplements, he replied. “No, no drops or such. She gets sunshine, laughter, and hugs.”
The court verdict stated that the mother said, “She is convinced that a person who, through dedicated training, has made himself mentally and physically ready, can cope completely without food or water.”
During questioning, she told the court, “The universe takes care of us.”
A similar case is currently being heard in an Australian court, with two Sydney parents accused of neglecting their youngest daughter, who developed rickets on a plant-based diet, and weighed the same as a three-month baby when she was 19 months and had not developed any teeth.
Her parents have pleaded guilty, reported AAP, and will be sentenced in July.
A school in Sweden has imposed vegetarianism on all of its students in a supposed attempt to help combat climate change.
The radical policy has been implemented at the Gitarren Preschool in Umeå and represents the first attempt by a municipal school to eliminate meat on the food menus. All meals served at the preschool will be entirely meatless, and students will not be given the choice to opt-out of the program, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.
When the program begins in about two weeks, breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be entirely vegetarian, and those who would like to order meat will not be able to. No exceptions will be made.
Teachers claim that the school has only received positive feedback from parents and children.
Markus Sandström, a teacher at Gitarren Preschool, says: “There have only been positive reactions and many are grateful.”
“We believe and hope that this can become permanent. So this is the idea, but it felt a bit drastic to go all out with it right away. We must evaluate properly first,” Sandström added.
The school has hired a dietician to oversee the rollout of the new menu and to make sure all the children, aged between one and six, are receiving adequate nutrition from the meatless diet.
Despite claiming that all reactions to the new program have so far been positive, Sandström says that he is well aware that the program could be controversial.
“We want to be clear that there is nothing political about this. This is something we do because we think it will have a positive climate impact,” Sandström.
Sweden is at the forefront of imposing climate change ideology onto its population. In September, a Swedish professor suggested that people should begin to think about eating human flesh as a substitute for animal meat to combat climate change.

The newly-opened Swan ‘free school’ in the leafy, very middle-class suburb of Summertown ( a part of North Oxford where the Lord Adonis was once an elected councillor), has a completely vegetarian canteen, where children looking for toad-in-the-hole or a piece of steak and kidney pudding at lunchtime will be very disappointed.
The school’s head teacher Ms Kay Wood, has cited “three main reasons” for the policy.
First, economy (‘it allows us to serve better quality meals for the same money’). Secondly, the ‘huge environmental and sustainability benefits,’ and three ‘it allows students of all faiths and different dietary requirements to eat together.’
Well, reasons two and three are laudatory, I admit, but even so, isn’t banning non-vegetarian food at lunchtimes and not allowing children to bring in their own lunch going a bit too far?
One mum, quoted in the Sun, says her daughter came home ‘very hungry’ and that she‘d heard “lots of other children were very hungry too.” Is making school children hungry the way to go, to build a better world? Surely there could be some sensible compromise?
Many of us could probably all do with eating a little less meat, especially less processed meat and we should do all we can to make sure that the animals we do eat are well looked after. It's really heartless and criminal. They are probably so brainless due to the diet, and so convinced of their righteousness, that they'll ignore all signs and override any instinct they may have had once to protect the child, if they ever had any. I remember reading sometime in the past that a prison/jail switched inmates' diet to soy-based foods - don't recall if that was Columbus or Ohio prison or somewhere else. What would you think if I told you that young people today likely committed violent, criminal acts in part due to poor nutrition. What if they continued those violent acts in prison as the poor nutrition continued? Reserve judgment for now. This is science - let's see what the data tells us. Before I became 'woke' regarding the perpetual diet BS being shoveled to the general population on a daily basis, I bought into the claim that too much protein/red meat wasn't healthful. I increased the amount of chicken consumed - skinless/boneless chicken breasts were flooding the markets - and seriously considered the 'pack of cards' daily serving amount for red meat. Seriously, my generation absolutely had no idea we were being conned when it came to food nutrition. And now, it's all but impossible to get unaltered, uncontaminated food especially since glyphosate has been detected in rainfall and who even knows how much radiation we're getting as well. The doctor's news is not good. Americans are in poorer health and are dying sooner than the rest of the industrialized world. Call it the "mortality gap."
The facts are disquieting. A 2011 study of 17 industrialized countries — 13 in Western Europe, plus the U.S., Australia, Japan and Canada — found that American men, whose life expectancy is 75.6 years, ranked last, and U.S. women, at 80.7 years, ranked 16th. Worse, this gap has been widening for the past three decades.
Wonder why this is happening? So did the National Institutes of Health, which ordered the Institute of Medicine to undertake a broad study of U.S. deaths involving drugs and alcohol, obesity and diabetes, lung disease, heart disease, infant mortality, injuries and homicides, and HIV and AIDS. Researchers found what they called "a pervasive pattern of shorter lives and poor health" crossing all socioeconomic lines.
Although the United States spends nearly twice as much on health care as other countries, Americans eat too much, rely on cars too much and get medical care that is often inaccessible and unaffordable {Then in fact, they are NOT getting medical care!]. More specifically, the study cited the lack of access to primary care physicians and Americans' relatively unhealthy behaviors. While Americans drink and smoke less than their peers, they eat more calories per person, use seat belts less, are more prone to gun violence and have higher rates of drug abuse. Our dependence on cars gets special attention, too, for helping create neighborhoods that discourage walking and contribute to obesity.

A vegan couple's toddler died of malnutrition while they fed him almost nothing but raw fruit and vegetables, say police.
The 18-month-old boy weighed only 17lbs when he died in the care of his parents Ryan and Sheila O'Leary on September 27, according to police.
Sheila, 35, told police the boy was born at home, had never seen a doctor before and was fed a diet of raw fruit and vegetables, including mangoes, rambutans, bananas and avocados.
When he died, she said, he hadn't eaten food in a week - she thought it was because he was teething - and he was being breastfed.
The O'Learys have been charged with negligent manslaughter and child neglect.
Police said stay-at-home mum Sheila told a detective she was breastfeeding her son at about 4am when he began to have shallow breathing.
She was worried because it was the first time it had happened, but said she didn't call for help because she fell asleep.
He was pronounced dead at the family home in Cape Coral, Florida, after his mum woke up and noticed he wasn't breathing and was cold.
She dialled 911 as her 30-year-old husband tried to resuscitate the boy, police wrote in an affidavit obtained by the Fort Myers News-Press.
The boy's death was caused by complications of malnutrition, including dehydration, liver problems and swelling of his hands, feet and lower legs, a post-mortem found.
Sheila told police her son's feet had been swollen off and on for weeks and he wasn't walking as much as he had been previously.
Police said the boy weighed just 17lbs, the average weight of a seven-month-old.
The average weight for an 18-month-old is 24lbs 1oz.
