The only American president I can imagine ever being able to do that - ex tempore - would have been John Kennedy. Well, let's say that anybody could TRY to do it - like Obama, Clinton or Trump - but they would very quickly reveal their shallowness.

I wonder the same thing. The brainwashing effect of mass media is just astonishing.

Yes, Putin is just heads and shoulders above the rest and in terms of the work, one could say that essence and personality have developed together. He is so humble, understanding, insightful and down to earth that as Laura says, it is hard not to love him.

But the Western MSM never shows such videos of him in their entirety if at all, as it would destroy their propaganda efforts.

Yes and as a side note, JFK certainly had to bear enormous physical stress because of his medical condition on top of that. Despite that, he never showed it in public and did a far better and wiser job then about every other president before or after that. I mean his condition was so bad, that at some days he hardly could move a thing without much pain. Before he even got president, he was in such a bad shape, that he had to be nursed and rolled over in bed. Considering that, I think JFK did a tremendous job. He knew he would have to die rather soon anyway and decided to do the job for the welfare of others nonetheless.

How can anybody watch that man interacting with others, hearing him talk, and not just love him?

It is simply impossible to not love him, period , unless one has not all crackers left in the head. He incorporates everything a real man can try to archive, from the smallest details to the biggest. A true hero and example of what becoming a real man means IMO. Teaching everything by example. Watching, hearing, reading and seeing Putin act, is literally food for the soul and an incredible source of strength, determination and inspiration for what can be archived with perseverance.

Seeing him is balm for the soul. How can anyone not be moved by him is beyond me. I can hardly think of anything that gives me more hope and joy nowadays than this incredible human being.

Another thing that amazes me to no end is his seemingly introverted nature. Archiving such things as an extrovert is one thing, but as an introvert quite another ball game, with many struggles of enormous proportions involved. He mastered it all. Simply amazing and utterly inspiring.

I simply love how he interacts with the children of varying ages that ask him questions. He is not condescending at all, and answers their questions genuinely. These children will remember this event always. Jeez, it would be an honour to be in the same room with Putin, let alone to be able to converse with him!

The more videos I see of what he does and how he conducts himself, the more I just love this man- he is a warrior and a true statesman. I hope he decides to run for President again next year.

Started to watch it and Putin talks about a lot of interesting things he normally doesn't talk about in other formats. Hope that a good transcript of it will be made, so that we can bring some of those things up for discussion. Two answers so far in particular are interesting. One in regards to why he set up the school there as he did and how it relates to his understanding of a good education that should not be based on one specialty alone but rather different fields of knowledge and I would say being and interacting with others of different specialities. He mentioned that he has done it like that as well: not focusing on one aspect of life/knowledge but many different ones.

The other interesting answer is to what his most vivid memories are from childhood. The first one he mentioned as a bright one was him growing up in the streets of Leningrad with his friends. At the time he and other little boys roamed the streets of Leningrad and he mentioned his memory about how he behaved wrongly against another boy and that he noticed how the boy retaliated towards Putins behaviour, it happed over and over again in the coming years and that was something that told him how to behave towards other people and respect them. The next bright memory he mentioned is from the times when he started to do martial arts (judo) and how those battles told him how to fight to the end no matter how exhausted and give everything you can. In regards to that, what he learned is how to overcome himself to give his all and that this bright memory is still with him today and that this is a good quality in a person; to go to the very end to archive your goal.

His answer was that he categorically disagrees with this saying. And that no mater how "honorable" the aim could be, we shouldn't use "abominable" means. Because by doing so we destroy the aim itself. And if we are to have an aim worth living for, we should think hard about the way we are planning to achieve it.

Interesting! looks like Putin developed the skill to adapt and play every role that is needed to archive something worthwhile and play with and outmaneuver "impossible" people and circumstances.
