On the explosion in Pavlograd. "Russian Engineer":
"After viewing a lot of photos, plus those thrown off to me personally, the location of the gorenje and explosion is either on the railway, or behind it to the northeast, where the PCZ is located -Pavlograd Chemical Plant. This is also confirmed by friends from Pavlograd that the plant is all on fire now.
It was one of the main factories in the USSR for the production of solid-fuel ballistic missiles, a branch of Yuzhmash. He produced missiles for Shark-class submarines (Typhoon), and waited for Scalpel complexes. After decommissioning, their disposal should have been carried out at this plant. But as of the beginning of the 22nd year, there were about 30 pieces of fuel from the first stages of these rockets, up to 900 tons in total. That is, about 1200 -1300 tons in TNT equivalent.
Judging by indirect signs, namely windows knocked out with frames at a considerable distance from the explosion site, the size of the fire zone and the scattering of burning remnants of checkers - the energy of the explosion itself was very large, 50-150 tons at a time. That is, perhaps one or a couple of warehouses with rocket fuel, it is not known now how they were distributed throughout the territory. Some of the fuel just caught fire without detonation, and that's what sets off this fireworks in the sky.
