Canada just came and apologized for inviting an ex SS officer.
I wonder if they will address the very uncomfortable obvious follow up "why do you have former nazi officers living in Canada?"

The Speaker of the House of Commons has already offered his apology after inviting a former member of the Galizien Division to an event featuring Trudeau and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski.
The Office of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke out following the invitation and ovation of a Nazi veteran during Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenski's appearance before the Canadian Parliament this week.
In a statement, the Office acknowledges that House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota apologized and accepted full responsibility for sending the invitation and recognition in Parliament.
"It was the right thing to do," the statement said. "No advance notice was given to the Prime Minister's Office, or to the Ukrainian delegation, about the invitation or the recognition."
The man in question is Yaroslav Hunka, 98, who fought in the First Ukrainian Division before later emigrating to Canada. That group is also known as the 14th Waffen-SS Grenadier Division or Galizien Division, made up mostly of Ukrainian volunteers from the Galicia region.
Hunka was invited by Rota, a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, who introduced him as a "Ukrainian and Canadian hero" who "fought for Ukrainian independence against the Russians."
This Sunday, the Speaker of the House assured that he regrets his actions, after learning "more information" about Hunka.
