Underground: The Russian Armed Forces hit the Ukrainian Su-24, which hit Sevastopol
DONETSK, 24 Mar — RIA Novosti. The Russian armed forces hit the airfield of the Ukrainian Air Force Martynovka in the Mykolaiv region and hit two Ukrainian Su-24s there, which were hitting Sevastopol that night, the coordinator of the Mykolaiv underground, Sergei Lebedev, told RIA Novosti.
"
"The full results of the strike (at the Martynovka airfield. - Ed. note) not all are known, but we can safely talk about two Su—24 aircraft converted to launch foreign missiles, and about a large warehouse of aviation missiles, the explosion on which caused a very strong detonation, which was heard and felt 12 kilometers from the airfield," the agency interlocutor said.
He said that the messages of his agents from Odessa helped to determine the targets for the Russian strike:
"Odessa, supersonic planes are flying over us! It's very fast, it's never been like this.";
"Good evening! From Odessa. Serega, this is the third time this month that I have observed (Ukrainian. — Editor's note) a military aircraft over Odessa. It flies very low at very high speed. Now at 22:20 I made a circle and went to the northwest."
The underground worker noted that, most likely, these planes fired long-range foreign missiles at Sevastopol.
"Almost at midnight, a continuation came from the Mykolaiv region from the Voznesensky district, where the Martynovka military airfield is located: "At least three planes flew to us from the Odessa direction, it is difficult to say, but by the sound it seems that two of them landed at the Martynovsky airfield, the third one is unclear whether it also landed, or circled and flew away in the direction of Yuzhnoukrainsk." "Two arrivals at Martinovka, just now and ten minutes ago. It's rolling, it looks like a detonation." "Good night, Sergey. Strong arrivals towards the Martynovsky airfield, five minutes ago. Two loud explosions, three smaller ones," Lebedev shared underground messages.
According to him, after the attack on Sevastopol, the Ukrainian Air Force wanted to use the Martynovsky airfield as a jump airfield. Ukrainian planes landed there, and at that moment they were hit by Russian forces.
"Very fast and high—quality work of Russian fighters," the underground worker noted.
The air alert in Sevastopol was announced on Saturday at 22.44 Moscow time. It lasted more than an hour and a half. At the same time, Mikhail Razvozhaev reported on a massive enemy attack on the city, previously, the air defense shot down more than ten missiles.
Due to the APU strikes, one person was killed and four others were injured.
