Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Meanwhile, PM Tusk is planning to win the new arms race with Russia.

After President Trump and Vice President JD Vance accused Ukraine's Zelensky of being 'ungrateful' amid last Friday's explosive row in front of media cameras in the Oval Office, the White House on Monday announced the suspension of military aid to Ukraine.

But it was initially unclear precisely when the pause in arms deliveries would take effect, or whether Trump was merely previewing a future suspension. New information revealed in fresh reports sheds more light on the matter, and clearly Trump means business. It was immediate upon the announcement.

"US weapons deliveries to Ukraine came to an abrupt halt on Monday evening after President Donald Trump ordered a pause on all aid to the war-torn country, the Pentagon confirmed on Tuesday," USA Today reports, based on an admin official.
After the order was given, all U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine came to a stop, as of 6 p.m. on Monday evening, according to a defense official. Planes carrying supplies en route to Ukraine would have had to turn around, the official said.
"It was unclear, as of Tuesday, whether Ukraine's direct contracts with U.S. weapons manufacturers, procured through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, would also be impacted," USA Today continues. "As of mid-December, $1.7 billion out of the $21.2 billion fund had not been used."

There was anticipation that Trump might have unveiled a signed minerals deal with Ukraine during Tuesday night's lengthy 90-minute address to Congress, but that didn't happen. Trump only referenced a vague letter from Zelensky saying Ukraine was merely interested in a minerals deal as well as achieving peace.

Meanwhile, some Democrats on Capitol Hill are panicking over how rapid the Washington relationship with Kiev is breaking down.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), ranking member of the Foreign Relations Committee, said in a statement: "This act of retribution against our ally, who is on the frontlines defending freedom and democracy, is not only shameful—it is dangerous."

"I urge the administration to reverse course and remember that America’s values lie with the free world, not autocrats and murderous dictators," she said. She ignored the reality of the escalatory build-up to WW3 of the last three years under Biden policy.

And anti-Russia hawk Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) lashed out at Trump, writing the following on X:

The White House followed the weapons halt by lately ordering an intelligence-sharing pause as well, which has reportedly involved leaning on the UK to halt the sharing of intel information with Kiev, though it doesn't necessarily impact other European allies.

Trump says no thanks to fleeing Ukrainians taking flight from the Russian war against Ukraine, revoking the deportation of 240,000 this coming April. This will also affect 70,000 Afghans, including opponents of the Taliban (banned in Russia), along with 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans.

IN BRIEF: Lavrov comments on Macron’s `nervous’ remarks, Ukraine peacekeeping plan.
According to the Russian foreign minister, the French leader’s nuclear rhetoric presents a threat to Russia, while Moscow remains open to a frank dialogue with all parties
MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov described French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks on the Ukrainian crisis as "lengthy and rather nervous."

According to Lavrov, the French leader’s nuclear rhetoric presents a threat to Russia, while Moscow remains open to a frank dialogue with all parties and does not see any space for compromise on the issue of deploying European forces in Ukraine.

TASS has compiled key points from the Russian foreign minister’s statements.

Macron’s threats

Macron "said yesterday in his lengthy, rather nervous statement that the war should not be allowed to end with Ukraine’s capitulation," Lavrov said at a press conference on Thursday. "There is a significant gap between a 'strategic defeat of Russia' and the surrender of Ukraine, in general, and at least they found the courage to cross this distance," he added.

Unlike his predecessors, who also sought to confront Russia — Napoleon, Hitler — Macron "does not act very diplomatically," Lavrov stated. "Because they stated openly: 'We must conquer Russia, we must defeat Russia.' And he seemingly wants the same thing, but for some reason, he says that it is necessary to fight Russia so that it does not overcome France, that Russia poses dangers to France and Europe," Russia’s top diplomat explained.

As for Macron’s nuclear rhetoric, it represents a threat to Russia, Lavrov asserted. "If he perceives us as a threat and calls a meeting of the European and British chiefs of staff, saying it is necessary to use nuclear weapons against Russia, this certainly is a threat," he said.

And the French president "may take completely reckless actions" to repair his "irreparably damaged reputation," Lavrov added.

While Macron occasionally claims that he will reach out to Russian President Vladimir Putin, he has not yet done so, the minister pointed out. "He has such opportunities, as they say, no one prohibits it," he remarked.

Lavrov also questioned the logic behind Macron’s comment that Russia is a threat to the European Union. According to him, "it is quite obvious to any rational person that Russia does not need that."

Resolving Ukraine crisis

Russia is ready "for a candid discussion considering the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis," Lavrov emphasized. "Throughout all these years, we have been consistently open to negotiations. We welcomed the stance of [US President Donald] Trump’s administration, which, in contrast to the Biden team, expressed a desire for peace rather than war. We, too, advocate for peace," he said.

Regarding Washington’s decision to pause military aid to Kiev, this pause confirms "that without the direct involvement of the West — specifically the United States, Britain, France, Germany, and other countries that provide intelligence data and assist in applying this data to launch long-range missiles against our territory — the Ukrainians would not have been able to do so. This acknowledgment is quite significant, too," Lavrov underscored.

Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will soon escort Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky on an `apology tour’ to Washington.

According to Lavrov, Russia agrees that the Ukraine conflict could be brought to an end very quickly if Western military assistance is cut off.

The stance of most European countries, which believe that "peace in Ukraine is worse than war," is no longer surprising, he stated.

Deployment of troops to Ukraine

Russia sees no room for a compromise on the issue of deploying European troops to Ukraine: "This discussion is being conducted with an openly hostile intent, and they do not hide their true motives," Lavrov emphasized.

"This would mean not an alleged hybrid, but a direct, official, open involvement of NATO countries in the war against Russia," he stressed.

Russia will view the deployment of EU peacekeepers on Ukrainian territory in the same manner as it would perceive the potential presence of NATO forces there. "This assessment holds true regardless of the flags under which the operation may be conducted — be they EU flags or the national flags of the contributing countries. It does not matter what insignia, including Banderite symbols, may appear on the sleeves of their uniforms. They will still be considered NATO troops," he concluded.

Ukraine won’t be able to use Storm Shadow missiles without US intelligence — newspaper
LONDON, March 6. /TASS/. UK Storm Shadow missiles have become "useless" for the Ukrainian armed forces, as their use requires US intelligence data, which Ukraine will no longer receive following US President Donald Trump's decision, the Daily Mail newspaper reported.

According to it, the US has not only stopped sending its intelligence to Ukraine, but also prohibited the UK from sharing it with Kiev.

Earlier, CIA Director John Ratcliffe announced the suspension of the exchange of intelligence between the US and Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump ordered the suspension of all military aid to Ukraine a few days after a dispute with Vladimir Zelensky at the White House on February 28. The decision took effect on the morning of March 4. It applies to all US military equipment not currently in Ukraine, including weapons transported by air and sea or awaiting further shipment in transit zones in Poland.

The pause will last until Trump decides that the Ukrainian leadership has demonstrated a commitment to a peaceful settlement of the conflict with Russia. On March 5, the American leader said he had received a letter from Zelensky saying he was ready to sit down at the negotiating table. According to The New York Times, Trump did not cancel the decision to suspend military aid to Kiev after Zelensky's appeal.

He's not very credible, IMO.
Webb does stray from the point on his social media page, and I won't dispute that. I noticed this during the first assassination attempt on Trump. Compared to the sessions on the same subject, he failed pretty miserably!

Therefore, I will refrain from quoting him in the future.

just a question: did we not have a brexit??? what does starmer have to do with mme vdl??. does mme vdl think she has to push for a war and a military role?? on whose behalf?? dont we see her a bit too much with her fingers in all pies?? did we elect her?? does she really represent the opinions of the infinity of heads of state which designed her?? l'europe est lamentable. is this the result of delirious feminisme?? where is our donald?? in mickeymouse??

The US regime waged a proxy war on Russia through Ukraine, without a formal declaration of war. It is devious but smart. If things go wrong you can always deescalate and change course. European "leaders" on the other hand, doubled down on Russophobia and propaganda to such an extent, they can't tell their populations "we lied about everything and collapsed the economy for nothing".
Now, Micron directly declared war on Russia on TV. Eurocrats imagine that by conquering Russia and taking control of its resources, they would save their collapsing economy. It ain't going to happen.

Martin Armstrong makes similar points in the interview below; Europe is bankrupt and those in power in the EU actually think they can collectively defeat Russia militarily and save their economy by taking over Russia's Trillions of dollars in natural resources. That's how deluded and crazy the EU is.

Its also a testament to how insane and determined they are that the EU bureaucracy is cancelling all viable political opposition to their agendas wherever they can, whenever they can.

Elsewhere here its been noted that there has been very large movements of gold to the US. The reason for this, says Armstrong, is to keep gold in a safe place in anticipation of war in Europe (sometime after May 15th he thinks). Money and assets always move first in anticipation or foreknowledge of geopolitical events.

I wish Trump would not do things to confirm the Left's main attack point which is, Trump is a liar!
Apologies for getting a bit off-topic but talking about wishes, what I'd wish is Trump not staffing his administration and surrounding himself with Christian Zionists, and not being "the most pro-Israel president in the country’s 77-year history" - as coming straight from the horse's mouth, when yet another CHZ organisation 'Conference of Presidents of Christian Organizations in Support of Israel' is celebrating its creation in Jerusalem. And by pro-Israel, they of course mean pro Netanyahu with his extreme right-wing zio-warmongers clique.

‘God is giving Israel a blank check’

In the evangelical Christian community, President Trump is widely seen as the most pro-Israel president in the country’s 77-year history. Many participants at Tuesday’s event described his presidency as Israel’s window of opportunity.

“The Biden administration was not a friend of Israel,” said Bramnick. “It was literally trying to undermine Israel at every stage and pushing the atrocities, pushing a two-state solution, which would only benefit the genocide and reward the genocide. I am so grateful to God that there is a new sheriff in town and that God gave us President Donald Trump—not only to make America great again but to make the world and Israel great again.”

Bramnick [Mario Bramnick, president of the Latino Coalition for Israel and a co-founder of the Conference of Presidents] said he was among a select group of evangelicals who met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his recent visit to Washington. That meeting took place just before President Trump suggested relocating Gazans and building a Gaza Riviera under U.S. authority.

“I literally feel God is giving Israel a blank check to begin to write upon, to dream again,” Bramnick said. “God’s hand is upon Israel, and this is your opportunity to arise in what God has for your nation.”

It looks like Hungary's Orban and Slovakia's Fico (who also survived an assassination attempt like Trump) are currently the only hope to prevent the EU from going completely insane regarding Russia.

A lot will depend on which EU decisions have to be made unanimously, since the two can veto them. Though I suppose if enough incentives are given to them or their countries they might cave in too.

i must react: those WHY LIE CONSTANLY are NOT trump. trump is human, does his best and, like in a marriage, it is not wise to say explicitely some things...

No dissent allowed in European democracy.

Ukraine: EU parliament plans to revoke Hungary’s voting rights over support for Russia

Regardless of whether there are "votes" among European leaders, the citizenry won't be allowed to vote on anything the puppet masters have decided will happen.

Notice Macron's address to Europe to "prepare for war." Meloni's suggestion that NATO Article 5 protection be extended to Ukraine. Zelensky flat-out rejecting talks with Putin. It seems the decision has been made to go to war. They're taking dissenters out of the voting process, or perhaps making them comply with something like this:

Session 30 January 2025:
Q: (L) ... What happened to all of these judges and so forth that Trump put in place who SHOULD have helped deal with this election fraud...

A: Deep State visits.

If they haven't worked in the past, why does the US think they are going to work now? Something is not adding up with what Trump expects and wants to get and pulls out the punishment card, I guess.

US threatens Russia with more sanctions
Washington is ready to use “leverage” on Moscow to facilitate a peace deal in Ukraine, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has said

The White House is prepared to introduce more sanctions against Russia if doing so would help resolve the Ukraine conflict, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated on Thursday. Such measures could be used as leverage against Moscow during peace negotiations, he said.

“This administration has kept the enacted sanctions in place, and it will not hesitate to go all in should it provide leverage in peace negotiations,” Bessent told the audience while speaking at the Economic Club of New York.

“As per President Donald Trump’s guidance, the sanctions would be used explicitly and aggressively for immediate maximum impact,” he emphasized, adding that potential measures would be “carefully monitored to ensure that they are achieving specific objectives.”

Yeah Yeah. Piracy and economic wars are its strengths....seizing and confiscating assets are added but Russia has single handedly fiought against the West and its whole collective in a coalition that the West loses daily. Trump still believes that he can impose on Russia ?
Wishful thinking always takes you where you do not wish to go.

Some European "leaders" are certifiably and totally insane:

"We know. That’s why some of our countries are asking, ‘Why don’t we attack Russia now, instead of sitting waiting for it to attack us?’” an unnamed “prominent Eastern European politician” said, without elaborating.

Russian forces strike mercenary concentrations, airfields in western Ukraine — expert
In addition, airfields with concentrations of NATO-standard and Soviet-made warplanes were hit, according to Vitaly Kiselyov
LUGANSK, March 7. /TASS/. Russia targeted training areas for mercenaries and airfields as it launched attacks in western Ukraine overnight, military expert Vitaly Kiselyov told TASS, citing data from underground resistance.

Air raid sirens sounded across Ukraine in the early hours on Friday. While an air raid alert lasted almost 3.5 hours in the Ternopol Region, explosions were reported in Ternopol, Ivano-Frankovsk, and other western Ukrainian cities.

"Ivano-Frankovsk, Lvov, and Ternopol are key cities for mercenaries, mostly from Poland, France, and Great Britain. The area is a strategic point between Poland and [the zone of] hostilities where ordnance is being supplied to, and there are also training facilities there," the expert explained. Among other targets, ammo depots and a train station where combat vehicles were parked were struck, Kiselyov said, citing partisans.

In addition, airfields with concentrations of NATO-standard and Soviet-made warplanes were hit, according to the expert.

Kiselyov did not rule out that more strikes on concentrations of Ukrainian military hardware and troops deep behind enemy lines will be delivered. These, he said, will contribute to the advance of Russian forces on the battlefront.

Up to 20 missiles fired from warships during overnight attacks
Russia editor, BBC Monitoring
Ukraine has seen bigger attacks, sometimes involving more than 100 missiles launched in the course of one night.
This one involved 67, according to the Ukrainian air force. Notably, up to 20 of them were fired from Russian warships in the Black Sea – the largest number this year, which is still smaller than in comparable attacks in 2024.

The damage caused by this latest attack is difficult to assess because it targeted Ukraine's gas extraction facilities – and Ukraine has a policy of not reporting details of damage to strategic infrastructure so as not to help Russian forces with post-strike assessment.

It is a relief that no fatalities were reportedly caused by the attack.

WOW!

The last time this tactic was used, it resulted in the liberation of Avdiivka. Let's see how it works now.
100 Russian soldiers secretly made their way to Suja via a gas pipeline after Kiev stopped gas supplies to the EU.

Russian attack aircraft have been preparing for this operation for several days, clearing the area from which they will leave with guided bombs (FAB with UPMK), the Kiev media write.

The APU could not blow up the pipe in the conditions of limited logistics.

We are talking about the underground pipes of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, through which Russia supplied gas to Europe through the territory of Ukraine until January 1, 2025.

The diameter of one pipe is 1.4 meters.

A fierce battle is underway: a breakthrough in Sudju through a gas pipeline pipe in the Kursk region — details from the enemy.

"Today, a breakthrough of enemy infantry was discovered in the area of the city of Sudzha — the Russians used a gas pipeline pipe to throw an assault company unnoticed by drones, and wedged themselves into our battle formations," writes Ukrainian propagandist Butusov.

The editor-in-chief of the Censor confirms that the Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region are in a difficult situation.:

The Russians continue to launch massive attacks along the entire front of the Kursk sanitary zone, having a significant advantage in strength here. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding on with great difficulty, and the Russians are advancing.

"The front of the sanitary zone is narrow, and the enemy has taken tight fire control of our communication routes from the flanks. Now the situation there is more difficult than in all other sectors of the front," he writes.

The continued retention of a foothold in the Kursk region is not justified from a military point of view.:

"Everyone understands the political motives, but there must be a purely military logic. Now we have lost an advantageous position in the Kursk region, both tactically and operationally. Solutions are needed," Butusov writes.

Earlier, both the Ukrainian military and Western media reported that Ukrainian troops were in the Kursk region under threat of encirclement and could be withdrawn from there.

Time to get out of here? Or is it not time yet?
Agree, this is a completely different level compared to villas, mansions or even palaces.
Zelensky acquired France's largest bank
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has become the owner of France's largest private investment bank, Milleis Banque. According to French publications, the deal was carried out through offshore companies associated with Zelensky.

"One of France's largest private investment banks, Milleis Banques, has been acquired by an offshore company linked to Zelensky," PravdaFrance writes. The bank was bought for more than a billion euros.

One of the offshore companies involved in the deal is Multicapital Corp, which was previously mentioned in the Pandora Papers. Rothschild & Co, where the current French President Emmanuel Macron previously worked, was also involved in the deal.

It is assumed that the acquisition of a bank in France can play a key role in Zelensky's long-term plans, especially if serious political or economic problems arise in Ukraine. Having your own bank abroad can provide the Ukrainian leader not only with financial stability, but also with support if necessary.
