Thank you so much for this long session.

It's relief to know that the difficulties won't happen for a long time yet..
I've been taking a probiotic for a while and it does actually contain a Bifidobacterium strain in case it's helpful to anyone. Thanks for the information about folic acid, definitely getting some as I had Covid a while ago.
Anyway the supplement is by Dr Mercola, Complete Probiotics, (for women). Here is a pic of the ingredients. IMG_20230418_131011.jpg(Not sure what the "tm" mark is referring to). Also peas may contain lower amounts of oxalate and okay amounts of folic acid from what I've read. Bee pollen contains folic acid too but amounts are difficult to measure probably. Always taken it for all round health as it's very easy to digest from what I know and contains natural enzymes plus other B vitamins and amino acids. . Like a natural multivitamin kind of.
Thanks once for the huge amount of effort that went into this session. 🌹

Great point to highlight the importance of aim, goal and intent in forming questions, Ryan. It’s tricky and requires some real self examination.

EG, WHY am I asking? What’s going to be the group benefit? Is this just about me feeling better about a personal matter? Do I want to prove myself right?

IOW, there are many underlying motivations that have to be parsed out in order to leave prejudice at the door and ask good questions. What does it do to actually get the answer? Would it add to the evolution of being and knowledge or is it just some hot gossipy sort of TMZ type of deal?

If someone could comment on the diff between goal and aim in regards to question asking, I would welcome it. Intent, I think I have a handle on.

I checked the etymology of the word goal:

goal (n.)

1530s, "end point of a race," of uncertain origin. It appears once before this (as gol), in a poem from early 14c. and with an apparent sense of "boundary, limit." Perhaps from Old English *gal "obstacle, barrier," a word implied by gælan "to hinder" and also found in compounds (singal, widgal). That would make it a variant or figurative use of Middle English gale "a way, course." Also compare Old Norse geil "a narrow glen, a passage." Or from Old French gaule "long pole, stake," which is from Germanic. Sports sense of "place where the ball, etc. is put to score" is attested from 1540s. Figurative sense of "object of an effort" is from 1540s.

I found it super interesting that 'goal' has such a history. It's a pretty complex word. There's the sense of a boundary or limit (gol), an obstacle, a barrier or a hindering - but also a Way, a course, a glen or a passage (gale). The word goal includes the end point (what we usually think of as a goal), but also the obstacles, and the way through them. It's a whole story in itself.

My own cultural baggage of linear thinking tells me that success is reaching the goal, a kind of end point where one has 'made it'. New Age mystics might call it liberation? Wall Street has its own version of this myth, and so do some of the crazy hedonists in the Western populations.

I don't think success or achieving a goal means reaching an end point that's static. Nothing ever stops, it just transforms. Maybe a better way of considering success, then, is the process of moving from one paradigm of limitations to another, but with more potential available at each iteration.

And there's (gaule), or a stake. That reminded me of what Ashworth says about the word pole (the older word is pale, stake, or stauros) in Paul's symbol of the cross.

For Paul there's only really one goal in life, which is becoming aligned with the cross. There's also the reaching and accepting the major boundary-limit of dying to the world of the flesh and so receiving the spirit. Reaching this ending through the narrow passage gives rise to the new beginning. So all that said, I think the word 'goal' is all about endings and beginnings, which fits with the C's phrase mentioned in this session.

Another thought is that as we move towards a goal, the goal is also moving towards us. There's a trio of concepts from psychologist James Hillman in The Soul's Code that I really like. He talks about the need for heroism on our own part to quest towards the goal, a sort of fatalism in the sense of having Faith in the universe (the goal is on its way, too!), and also a teleological finalism that says it all has a hidden purpose and belongs to our growth.

Recently I fell for the raw egg meme. I've been drinking ("slonking") about a dozen raw eggs a day for months now, and my lifts have all exploded, with after-workout soreness greatly reduced. Apparently the large quantities of cholesterol, along with vitamin D and such, all serve as androgen precursors; together with the protein, this enables pretty rapid muscle growth.
I read that not much of proteincan be absorbed from raw eggs. Looks like the best egg form is soft-boiled with liquid yolk.

Nice work, iamthatis. Another adjunct: gaol which I think was an olde spelling of jail. So if you are focused on one goal to the exclusion of all others, then you have put yourself in gaol by limiting all other options! Ok I’m only 35% serious, but it does fit the wordplay.

Not generate, we only collect and dispers. Everything is there already and there is nothing to generate. You may transform someting from one form to another...
It happens to me sometimes that thinking with a hammer and trying to modify the "neuronal path" of thought becomes heavy, dense as solid and I link it to the word gravity in its most physical meaning, almost as if I were saying to generate as a rational-mechanical process that actually leads to growth and unification. The truth is to collect because everything is already there - which is so - to me sounds very soft, almost easy, but as Rimbau says, the seed is in the kernel and sometimes it takes a hammer to get to it.

I was wondering about how much should I take the Folic Acid supplements, and found some answers. But it seems like I should take little less than recommended dosage is more safer.

Recommended Intake

Most adults need about 400 micrograms of folate, but the daily requirements increase for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding to 600 micrograms and 500 micrograms, respectively.

Folic acid dosage can range anywhere from 100–800 micrograms, and most prenatal vitamins generally include between 600–800 micrograms of folic acid per serving.

How much folic acid is too much? If you get your folate from healthy, whole-food sources like fruits and vegetables, the risk of folic acid overdose is minimal.

However, taking high amounts of supplemental folic acid or eating lots of foods rich in folic acid can increase the risk of adverse side effects. Therefore, it’s best to stick to less than 1,000 milligrams per day from fortified foods and/or supplements.

Dosage information
The supplement folic acid there are a few options depending on which form you decide to take:
  • When supplementing folate, use up to 400 DFE (400 mcg folate)
  • When supplementing folic acid, use up to 400 DFE (200 mcg is taken on an empty stomach, 240 mcg if taken with a meal)
  • Supplementing the low doses of folate or folic acid are more than sufficient, in conjunction with a healthy diet, to support bodily levels of all folate metabolites.
Adult dosage

Males: 400 mcg/day orally
Females: 400-800 mcg/day orally
Pregnant women: 600 mcg/day orally
Nursing women: 500 mcg/day orally
Upper limit: 1 mg/day orally

Children 4-9 years: 200 mcg/day orally
Children 9-14 years: 300 mcg/day orally
Children 14-18 years: 400 mcg/day orally
Upper limit: children 1-4 years, 300 mcg/day orally; children 4-8 hours, 400 mcg/day orally.

In my language "bunt" means: discontent, rebellion, uprise of the people. And is considered as positive.
In my language too. ;-)

Namely, there is another meaning, but it is used in a certain dialect and means; a roll of identical things, and is most commonly used for a roll of bills.

My brain parsed this word like this;

More+bunt+k, and read like this; more+rebellion-(male).

As I said once, my language has nouns in gender and if they end in - a, (mostly) then they are feminine, and some other letters (in this case k) are masculine. I'm always like that when the names are Cass. ending in -a, subconsciously thought that Laura was "talking" to "girls" and in other cases to "boys".

I'm not saying that energy has a gender, but is it possible that this is what some forum members said they felt? (change in energy quality).

Is this change caused by the fact that this time male members of the family/forum were more active (asked questions, were more interested in answers/topics)?

Namely, only Laura and Andromeda were at the table (for some time already), and I have always wondered what the information transfer would be like if the whole circle was closed (all four places at the table were filled)?

Or if in that case they were all female, or all male, or half and half, or..., what kind of answer/information would they have received to the same question?

Just one caveat here: a number of these items are high in oxalates, and really shouldn't be consumed by humans at all (especially spinach). After reading a bit more on the topic, I'm firmly of the opinion now that all plant material consumption should be reconsidered through the lens of oxalate levels first.
And what did your grandmother tell you, how to prepare/cook spinach? (or any "greenery").

(My grandmother was uneducated. She was the oldest daughter in a family of 9 children, that's why she had to help her mother at home and couldn't go to school. She learned to read, write and simple arithmetic operations with her brothers, who went to school.)

She told me: "Spinach has some poison in it that is harmful to health. When you prepare spinach, you must always prepare it with milk or cream, because that neutralizes the poison."

Well, now, neutralizing oxalates and retaining a large amount of folate is a science in itself...

Thank you to everyone who participated! It is always awesome to read new sessions, there's a feeling of excitement and worry at the same time.

I find a part about Bifidobacteria and Covid interesting.
Q: (L) Gaby was asking about fecal transplants because there is a woman who gave a talk and she says that all these people who had, was it the vaccine or just those who had COVID?

(Gaby) Both.

(L) Both vaccinated and people who just had COVID that they were… lacking.

(Gaby) Bifidobacteria.

(L) Bifidobacteria in their intestines that somehow COVID killed it all off.

(Gaby) And that creates a folic acid deficiency that I've been seeing since the COVID. You know, everybody's deficient in folic acid...

(L) Folic acid deficiency.

(Joe) As a result of good bacterial die-off.

(Andromeda) It helps produce the folic acid. And that's hard to replace with just regular probiotics.

(L) Yeah, but if the COVID causes it and practically everybody's had it, are there people who can have it and it doesn't destroy all their bifidobacteria?

A: Yes but it is largely destructive in that way.

Q: (L) So there are people where it doesn't destroy everything, but it can mess 'em up to some extent until they recoup.

(Joe) And obviously they are, with proper good gut bacteria, balance is very important for immune function.

(L) Can you also replace it with using probiotics or...?

(Gaby) Fermented foods.

(L) Fermented foods or something?

This next information is for anyone who lives within 24 - 48 hours of express mail from Zagreb, Croatia, or is visiting. I have used this products with Bifidobacteria, all natural and organic, without additives and preservatives, and are really good. It is always freshly made, needs to be stored in cold and that is why its shell life is 42 days. Here's the link:

Probiotika Viva - Probiotički pripravci

And here is the translated part from their webpage about the products:

Liquid probiotic preparations "ACIDOVERUS" and "BIFIDOVERUS" (based on cow or soy milk (fermented) and juices of carrots, beetroot, blackberries and oranges) are contained in glass bottles of 1000 ml. They are completely natural, free of additives and preservatives and can be consumed indefinitely. The usual daily dose is 1dl, with severe problems it can be more, at least 45 minutes before or after eating. The best effect is achieved by drinking for a period of one month (basic therapy), which can be repeated indefinitely if necessary, since these are completely natural preparations.

It naturally contains B vitamins and folic acid.

Hope this info helps a little.
