Show # 8 Women Who Love Psychopaths - With Sandra L. Brown

This week we'll be revisiting the topic of psychopaths but from the angle of the women who have fallen "in love" with them and suffered the consequences.

Our guest will be Sandra L. Brown. Sandra holds a master’s degree in counseling with a former specialization in personality disorders/pathology. She is a program development specialist, lecturer, community educator, and award-winning author.

Sandra is also a writer for Psychology Today and has been interviewed in magazines such as Seventeen. She has appeared in more than 50 television shows including Anderson Cooper’s daytime show, Anderson. She has provided consultation to film producers regarding pathological love relationship dynamics based on her books.

Sandra's books include the award-winning Women Who Love Psychopaths: Inside the Relationships of inevitable Harm With Psychopaths, Sociopaths & Narcissists

and How to Spot a Dangerous Man Before You Get Involved

This is one show you won't want to miss!

I'll be sure not to miss it! Could you ask her if there's any sign of her book being released on amazon, and in particular, kindle? The last time I checked, it wasn't available. And if there's any chance of a Spanish translation! I know some people here who are very eager to read her book. In fact, there's a group that a friend of mine attends which could really benefit from this...

Will do, or...that could be a good question to call in and ask yourself! :D

I would love to, really! But I'll be flying back to Spain Sunday evening so I'll be catching the show via the podcast on Monday. If you like though, you can use it as one of those questions sent in via the chat? The friend I'm referring to goes to a support group for women who have suffered physical and/or emotional abuse. This is a very important issue here in Spain. I once told her about Political Ponerology and the whole psychopath theme and she replied: "I don't want to believe that"! (And she's a social worker!). However, she recently told me that the woman who leads the support group had mentioned psychopathy so I thought of Sandra Brown. Since her book doesn't seem to be available in Spanish currently, I thought it might be very useful to them...
Since I haven't read it yet, I thought maybe I could do so (hence the amazon question) and maybe try and distill it a bit and go and talk with the group...

Ok, we'll ask her about it.

I`m really looking forward to the show on Sunday with Sandra L. Brown! Love the shows! Well done SOTT Team!

I second that! Can't wait.

Thought I'd mention something here. On this link: http://www.sott.net/page/11-Sott-Talk-Radio it says:

"Listeners will be able to call into the show live and put their questions to the Sott team. The call-in number from the USA is 718 508-9499 (international callers add 00 1 to the beginning of that number)."

But I wonder if it could help if you'd also write down that people can call in via Skype as well (which is free). I wonder if some people may not call (those outside the US) because of possible costs?

So just fwiw, for those who want to call in via Skype (hope I'm not hijacking this thread):

- You start your Skype program and log in with your Skype account.
- You log in at the blogtalkradio website (with a new account, or simply with your facebook account)
- You go to Sott's blogtalkradio page and click on the show that is on the air.
- Then you click on a small "Skype" icon next to "call in number to speak with the host"
- You then just follow two simple steps (you'll see) and then you're on the waiting list in Skype. You can still hear the show going on (make sure you have a headset or something similar on, and a good microphone will be handy too of course!).

The tricky thing is though, that you don't really know whether you're going to be the next one up to talk. But once Joe says "Hello caller, what's your name?" and you don't hear anybody answering, then you know it's pretty sure that you're on the air!

Thanks Oxajil, I've been wondering if it was possible to call in via Skype without having to have credit to pay for it. Now we know! I've added your description of how to call via Skype to the Sott Talk Radio page.
