Smoking is... good?

Birger,
Thanks for that very interesting article.
The filter part got my attention, cuz i smoke American Spirit rolling tobacco, but i can't help but notice that the smoke is smoother without the filter, and i was wondering whether it was more harmful to smoke filter-less, or with the conventional filters on the market.

Dude, the part about growing one's own tobacco is definitely worth some investigation. I would love to try it, but in the meantime i will stick to American Spirit.

It just shows how the PTB ponerologists work in layers of secrecy and controversy.......one side against smoking, while the cigarette companies are still operational.......

This quote proved so true ..
"and the 'establishment' benefits from neutralizing one smoker by counteracting the benefits of nicotine with an antidote of lethal chemicals."

Thankx again for that enlightening article.

Does anyone know where i can obtain Organic American Spirit rolling tobacco in the UK?
Not sure, but can't you buy in online somehow?

Tobacco choices

i tried to order online, but the sources are german. I wonder when they're gonna have a UK distributor???

BTW, what cigarette brand/ tobacco does the SOTT podcast team smoke,.........? i always hear them lighting up at the beginning of the conversation.

You are welcome. :)

It contained quite some references to earlier discussions regarding smoking, so it seemed interesting.

Actually, I am trying to grow my own tobacco - I live in Denmark so I do not know if it will be a success(because of the weather). But the tough part about making your own tobacco, is when the plants are to be dried/cured. If it is not done in the right way, then it will get a bad taste.

The plants are still growing though, and I will try to complete the process.

By the way there is a german brand of organic cigarettes called 'Manitou'. Just tried them yesterday. The good thing is that they are quite widespread and easy to find.

Well, the fact of the matter is that there have been many studies proving tobacco unhealthy, while ignoring major factors such as chemical additives, and toxic fertilizers.

I admit that it is a justification of the smoking habit, in such a swamp of disinformation. The thing is that most users of this forum are critical and analytical thinkers, and just refraining from some activity because the PTB demonize it, is just as bad as doing something because it's popular or cool. Smoking weed is cool, but i refrain, cuz it makes me lazy..........other people might have a different reaction. I can't judge them.
The same with tobacco.

It's just refreshing to note that the C's acknowledge the benefits of nicotine, while advocating that it's not for every one.

I think it all boils down to our preferences, and the informed choices we make, with regards to them.

Cheers

Alright, I'm gonna smoke. What's the best plan of attack?

After much soul-searching I've decided that the constant every-day never-ending stress that I've been experiencing over smoking for the last year and a half is not worth it at all. Screw it, I'd rather smoke.

BUT... I'm not smoking those chemical-factory cigarettes that they sell at convenience stores either. I need some "clean" tobacco.

So I guess this boils down into two questions:

#1: Where can a Canadian even get his hands on tobacco that isn't a chemical soup?

#2: Barring that, is it even feasible/possible to grow my own tobacco plants? Does anybody have any idea what's involved? I can be patient here if need be.

I chew the nicotine gum, some has artificial sweetner but other types seem to have little else but pure pharmacutical
nicotine. It's an aquired taste to say the least. I wouldn't
blame you for growning your own tobacco but you might
give it a try, at least you don't have to go outside the office
to get a dose. :)

I've suggested organic American Spirits. I'm not sure where you can find them in Canada though, but you might be able to buy them online.

I used to grow tobacco as a kid, believe it or not. I cured it in the garage and rolled cigars which my father smoked. I tried it a couple of times, but never got hooked. This is on Long Island, NY. Connecticut used to be a tobacco growing state. So if you're in a Canadian climate similar to that I don't think you'd have much difficulty growing it.

I also smoke american spirit. I role my own and my Mom buys her's at the local smoke store. You can't buy them online, they have their reasons, but you can call them and use a debet or credit card. I have done it this way for years. I get the organic roll your own, but you can see all their products at this address:
http://www.nascigs.com/AgeVerification.aspx

They have you verify your age, something that is amusing since they can't really verify. But the tobacco is "A-class" tobacco, and if you buy the packs, they do not have the chemicals and additives that the other commercial companies add. Hope this helps.

Anyone familiar with the Cuban products (glad I live outside the USA)? I need a good reco for mini-cigars or Cuban cigarettes with "safe" filters.
