I like that sound. Also, with that "thumping" sound in the beginning of 'Jurassic Park' movie. You might add a "heartbeat" sound in addition with the rest of the music as a text pop up but doesn't have to be constant. Hope that make sense.kenlee said:Here's one interesting sound from the trailer of the movie Contact that sounds like a heartbeat (I think she thought it was the sound of a pulsar that Jodie put thru a speaker)

According to Lobaczewski 0.6% of people are born with a genetic defect that causes them to be psychopaths. The 6% includes other personality disorders and "characteropathies". The estimate for psychopathy in the states is about 1.5%. Higher estimates are probably a result of using a personality inventory that can apply to other personality disorders besides "essential" psychopathy.Iconoclast said:science tells us

This number of 0.6%/6% applied to Poland. It probably changes with time and place. It would be more accurate to say "forr all of human existence... this genetic defect has existed" or something like that.for ALL of human existence...
there have always been 6%
with this genetic defect.
That's pretty bizarre that the movie is Contact, cause the effect of the opening credits with the beat and the signal lines is very similar to what I had in mind. Perhaps it was buried in my subconscious.kenlee said:Here's one interesting sound from the trailer of the movie Contact that sounds like a heartbeat (I think she thought it was the sound of a pulsar that Jodie put thru a speaker)[For the introduction, the screen could have an animation of an EKG machine that shows the spike when you hear a heart beat. After several pulses, each spike morphs/animates into the text of the first three lines below as they appear. On the fourth line (and when the word 'psychopathy' appears) the spike falls flat and screen fades]

Great idea! I could definitely animate something of this sort using Flash.Shane said:[begin script]

This depends on many things. I see this working best as a collaborative effort of people with different skills.Shane said:It may also be interesting if those interested in producing the video just make it, and then one could be selected by the group. Or the best parts could be taken from each and put together to form a super-duper-Captain-Planet (old cartoon reference) vid. Another way could be that people could just work on certain sections (a specific script coinciding with markers in the timing of the music would have to be established).
We could use youTube and googleVideo because it's free but the quality isn't too great. If this project becomes SOTT-related, however, perhaps we could host high-quality versions on the SOTT or pentagonstrike.co.uk sites? Just a thought.Shane said:I also like CarpeDiem's inquiry to see if there is any way to host all the clips to make for easier sharing. It could be possible with youtube (or something similar), but hopefully there's a better way to do it.
LOVE IT!!sHiZo963 said:Edit: What I got done thus far of the EKG part of the movie has been uploaded - it can be seen by clicking here. I realize it may be a bit too fast towards the end, but that's easy to change. Comments/suggestions?
Wow. Very nice work, sHiZo963! that is really good. I don't hear any sounds, but I think I can also hear a heartbeat in that...slowly. You're right, it's a bit fast, but it's a start. Great work!sHiZo963 said:Edit: What I got done thus far of the EKG part of the movie has been uploaded - it can be seen by clicking here. That's fantastic! The colors and movement of the words really gets and keeps your attention. They flow well with the EKG. Nice work.sHiZo963 said:Edit: What I got done thus far of the EKG part of the movie has been uploaded - it can be seen by clicking here.
Looks cool, looks "pro"!sHiZo963 said:Edit: What I got done thus far of the EKG part of the movie has been uploaded - it can be seen by clicking here.
I will volunteer the bandwidth. I have set up an ftp account at my web host. All that want to participate can email me off-forum to receive username/password or alternatively I can use the forum contact form and send it to you.CarpeDiem said:Does someone here have a server capacity of hosting short raw documentary video sequences so we could create a ponerology doc video 'pool' ...
