- the CEO on TV saying do not worry everything is fine ( I assure you this is never the case- dump your holding)

That is also a method they use for sockpuppets and cheerleaders. Same for twitter followers, youtube views, etc.


Added- there is a whole underworld of people that do literally nothing but make these accounts and link them together and sell them as outsource. They are usually done in India, or other countries with a similar economic climate that makes it very cheap for these "black hat" marketers to use their services.
