I agree with Hlat. For 1. if your kids are well-behaved and actually respect and value your opinion, they will listen. For 2. this homophobia can be tempered later by making them understand that everybody is free to do whatever they want and that it isn't their job to police people. However, you need to stress that there are certain things that shouldn't be allowed in the child's home. In fact, in most normal people unless they're extremely nosy and can't help being mingled in other people's business, will only be an aversion, but not full-blown homophobia with request that gay will be removed.

The homosexual behaviour of male king penguins has already been noted in zoos.
Now in a new study, scientists have found the evidence of male pairs in the wild. The research found that more than a quarter of the colony in Antarctica were in same sex partners, mostly two males.
In the past, it was claimed that penguins could not discern between the sexes because they looked alike. Male pairs in zoos in the US and Germany have hatched and reared ‘adopted’ chicks.
However the new study by the Centre for Functional and Evolutionary Ecology in Montpellier, France found that the penguins are only pairing up with other males because they are “lonely”.
There are not enough females in the colony and the males have high levels of testosterone, which drives them to engage in mating displays - even if it is with other males.

During the mating season king penguins “flirt” with potential partners by closing their eyes, stretching their heads skyward and moving them in a half-circle to "take peeks" at one another.
The male pairs engaged in the displays for short periods of time but did not bond in the same way as a heterosexual pair would, by learning each other’s calls or caring for eggs.
Professor F Stephen Dobson, one of the authors of the study published in the journal Ethology, said the number of same sex pairs was actually lower than expected. When the colony was studied over time he found all the ‘gay’ penguins chose a heterosexual partner. A female pair also ‘split up’ to raise an egg with male partner.
"I found that the rate of homosexually displaying pairs was significantly lower than one would expect by chance," he said. ​

Ronnie and Reggie got together in 2014, and famously adopted an egg that was abandoned by another couple a year later. The pair shared parenting duties of their chick, Kyton, until he fledged the nest. They remain as strong as ever and are often found snuggled up in their nest box together.

The duo share their home with 91 other penguins, including fellow same sex couples Nadja and Zimmer and Dev and Martin, as well as one-year-old Rainbow who hatched during Pride celebrations last year and will celebrate her first birthday this weekend.

This is my first comment in this thread which I've found interesting so far. The title in terms of the germ definition could also be explored further as it seems like a lot of issues have been already nutted out.

Germ
noun: germ; plural noun: germs
  1. a microorganism, especially one which causes disease.

  2. a portion of an organism capable of developing into a new one or part of one.
    • the embryo in a cereal grain or other plant seed.

    • an initial stage from which something may develop.
      "the germ of a brilliant idea"
Focusing on the first point about the microorganism, sure it's plausible there's an actual germ responsible for sexuality in the same way it has been linked to mental health conditions. To add a few letters to germ, we get germination, the definition changes in a subtle way.

Germination
noun: germination; plural noun: germinations
  1. the development of a plant from a seed or spore after a period of dormancy.
    "successful germination of crops"
  2. the process of something coming into existence and developing.
    "the rules would stifle the germination of new ideas"

This brings to mind fire ecology, which in summary is the natural use of fire which produces the process of germination in plants - that is, the seed was there already but required a fire to commence the process of growth (Fire ecology - Wikipedia).

Considering the idea of genders and 'possibly more than 100' according to the BBC, it is possible there are individual fires on a metaphysical level that could produce a chain reaction in an individual. I only speak for myself, but in regards to this forum and the folks in it - I suspect many are here due to personal experiences which have probably been testing on their resolve. An experience somewhere in their life created a learning opportunity and there was already a seed within them that reacted to that event.

It could explain why people react differently to a shared traumatic experience; perhaps some members of the LGTBQI+ communities had pre-installed physical seeds in the form of germs that will react and grow when a certain event happens in their life.

Dr. Dovid Schwartz, a licensed psychotherapist and member of the Lubavitcher Orthodox Jewish Community in Brooklyn, has challenged the New York City ordinance with a lawsuit.

Schwartz is represented by nonprofit law firm Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), which advocates for religious freedom. Should the lawsuit reach the Supreme Court and be declared unconstitutional, similar laws throughout the country could be blocked.

Sarah Kramer explained at the ADF website how the New York City law censors what therapists are permitted to say to their patients who are seeking their help:

It’s an amazingly one-sided law. Under this law, a counselor is free to help a patient explore, develop, or gain comfort with same-sex attractions or almost any gender identity imaginable (transgender activists claim gender is a “spectrum” or “Mobius”). But the law prohibits a counselor from assisting a patient who wishes to reduce same-sex attraction or achieve comfort in a gender identity that matches her or his physical body. The fines include $1,000 for the first violation, $5,000 for the second, and $10,000 for any violations after that.

Thus far, LGBT activist groups have convinced 18 state legislatures to pass counseling bans for minors who are uncomfortable with same-sex attraction or with their biological sex. Some of these laws are also being challenged as unconstitutional.
 
While this article is heavily biased with “homo is the new normal” thing I find some of the ideas interesting.
Could it be it’s all down to chance rather than a bug? When it comes to hormones it’s all about fine balance to produce the finest and healthiest specimen of the species but as we know well this often gets out of whack. Could fluctuations of certain hormones in pregnant women and exposure of foetus to these hormones in early stages of development actually determine gene expression and brain development?

I did not dig up the original study but in reading the article about disruption of genes and genome sequencing identifying chromosome abnormalities, it reminds me of studies done on GMO feed (wheat/corn) and an increase in birth defects and sterilization in the off-spring of cattle. GMO foods were first introduced (officially) in 1994, although some claims state the date was earlier. Is it possible, GMO products could be one of the contributing factors, in the increase in homosexuality, gender modifications/confusion and in some cases, sterilization?

Is it also possible, that the LGBT-Pride parades are organized to generate a numeric barometer in percentages, in any given location (State or Country) for scientific and depopulation research? The largest LGBT parades have been in the U.S., while the body count in European Countries is low. Could GMO be a factor?

As RT noted, Belgium and the UK are applying the opt-out rule for only part of their their territories, while Germany requested a partial opt-out in order to pursue more GMO research.

The multinational agribusiness giant told Reuters that since the growth of GMO-crops in Europe is so small, the opt-outs will not affect their business.

Whoa! This topic has taken several twist and turn,However,I must say I was very impressed with the debate if I should call it that. I guess there is not much left to add to this thread. My only concern is that we should not be silence, or be made to fear the PTB to allow this agenda to take over our school kids. These people had chances during their time so let’s allow these kids the opportunity to grow and prosper as nature intend. Five years ago very popular televangelist preacher from the Bahamas made almost the identical statement that Laura made regarding the biological purpose of the butt at a major congregation in the US headed by Bash-up TD Jakes. That Bahamian pastor is now a resident in 5D.

Citizens in Africa and the Caribbean do not take this topic lightly. In Uganda for example you will be sent to prison for only attending a same sex marriage ceremony. They have been indoctrinated by the Biblical text that man to man is so unjust,hence, no politician will ever want to jeopardize their political career for a minority group. In other countries, however, the minority have the power to control and manipulate the ruling government to promulgate the LBGT agenda. See article below.

CAP has an interpretation of Trudeau’s message utilizing improper English– Justin feels that the promotion of homosexuality and transgenderism are EVEN MORE IMPORTANT in nations other than Canada.
Mr. Trudeau has transformed the traditional role of a Canadian prime minister into a post-modern brand of leadership. This brand does not place Canada as our PM’s number one priority. Nor is developing a healthy Canadian economy a priority.
Justin Trudeau’s has personally chosen to be an international ambassador for homosexuality, transgenderism, and oddly enough, the Nation of Islam. Quite the odd-ball combination.

The largest ever genetic study of sexual behaviour has found that many genes influence sexuality, each with tiny effects.

Previous studies have identified individual genes that may influence sexual orientation in boys and men. But these studies have all been too small to pin down any genetic drivers of sexuality.

Robbee Wedow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and his colleagues collected data from the UK Biobank and the genetic testing firm 23andme. Bot organisations ask the genomes' owners about their sexual behavior. This gave the team genetic data and information on the sexual behaviour of around 477,000 people.

First, the team compared the genomes of people who said they'd had sex with people of the same sex with those wwho reported only heterosexual behaviour. They found that a person's genes could together explain around a third of whether they'd had same'sex experiences or not.

Next, the team was able to identify five specific genetic variants that were associated with same-sex experiences to a statistically significant degree. Two of these were in both men and women, two were specific to men, and one was specific to women.

All five genes had only a small effect and were far from being predictive of whether a person had had sex with a person of the same sex. Since the team had already found that a third of the variation in sexual behaviour can be explained by a person's genes, this suggests that there are many other genes that contribute at a very low level. The team says there could be thousands of them. "Our results really underscore that this behaviour is a normal part of human variation," says Wedow.

:Because we have so many different [genetic regions] involved, it implies that there are multiple genetic ways to end up queer," says Jeremy Yoder at California State University Northridge. "And that's kind of a poetic idea."

Somehow, I don't think the people doing those studies even realize the ramifications of what they are saying. They trumpet that it means that homosexuality is "a normal part of human variation" without even considering the fact that those genetic variants could very well be mutations, and thus, entropic loss of information originally coded in the DNA.
 
So, if I understand, homosexuality results of epigenetic changes, be it virus, diet (soy boy, GMO foods), hormonal impregnation during pregnancy, mental (early chilhood trauma, or early non-trauma social interactions), etc.

I would like to understand why it is entropic. I can understand it's not the original engineering of human beings, it's a genetic variant (variants) other the centuries, but why entropic? We saw in Darwin's thread that mutations are deleterious, leading to a living being that loses some functions, thus ends to disappear. Do you refer to that? But gay couples that don't have descendance won't lead to human extinction as there are much more heterosexuals and surpopulation on Earth. Or do you mean it's an entropic loss for the gay individual itself? If yes, what does he lose? Sorry if I missed something.
