BUT people who come straight off FB and are lead to this forum because of curiosity due to a link available to them through a friend of a friend who happens to be a member here. They again have no idea what the work is or what we do here. So seeing this thread may turn them off.

It may turn them off or it may not. Anart wrote : ''The fact that you are incapable of grasping how objectively offensive this was - language and imagery - is testimony to your own ponerization via the type of A influences you continue to 'get a rush from'.''

If I would be an outsider I would see terms I do not understand. I could go on searching or asking to get a better understanding of this. Or I could go away. It is however clear to me as an outsider that this forum does not 'support' offensive language and imagery. Perhaps this thread could make people more curious.

There are many threads here that could either attract or not. That is not fully under our control. The senior members on this forum are trying to be as objective as possible and if they are misunderstood by silent strangers as not, then there isn't much they can do about it.

Let’s say, you’re a customer walking in to a store that has been recommended to you by some acquaintances. You walk in as the senior staff of the store are very harshly talking to another staff member about them short-changing a customer. Although, what they are telling that person is beneficial to you, the customer- their way of exchanging thoughts seems unprofessional and makes you feel uncomfortable. Don't you think you may be a little put off by witnessing this exchange?

Wouldn't it be beneficial if the senior staff had chosen to take the other staff member to the back , not in view of the public- who are unfamiliar with the context and therefore are more susceptible to misinterpreting the exchange?

Well then we can just basically hide all the threads, since they all could have a chance of being misinterpreted.

Actually this thread could be a great opportunity for Puck to learn more about himself.

(Also a thread like this could help other members)

I agree - it is that facebook and other 'routes' may be used to make people more aware of the existence of this forum but it is not required to treat them any differently than if they had simply chanced across it by another means. The operation of the forum does not need to change in any way, I'm also confused by your raising of this issue, Deedlet.

Now I am also curious to see the video but I think that this is a program that is attracted to the 'forbidden' or something 'notorious', it is the same program that runs when mindless gossip at work attracts my attention. It is unlikely that I would personally find it offensive but I trust the forum moderators entirely that it has no place here, at the very least it is just noise and potentially offensive to future members or indeed current members.

Hi,

Just wanted to mention that I did have a discussion with Deed about this issue. And since others might also benefit I will share our conversation.

Simply put, she did seem very identified with the issue so I mentioned that the advice is directed towards puck specifically and she shouldn't think otherwise. You can learn from it, but you mustn't take it personally.

As for what the mods said being harsh, well I didn't think so. Sometimes the truth hurts. In my opinion the mods of this forum are amazingly patient and do not state anything that hasn't been without thought and care.

To puck I say, as it is often mentioned here, "you are not your programs". That's a very powerful idea in my opinion. Also remember you are not alone in the battle of the I's.

Another important thing here is to realize that this adventure is not a game. I learned that, the hard way a few years ago. Don't forget there is a fully active "intelligence" that is at work here, and is battling us and is wanting to feed at every turn.

In general, "I" know that personally I would do so much more for myself the group and the universe, if I only gave half the dedication as some of the senior members on the forum here give on a daily basis.

Those of us who are serious about evolution, must realize that, "what that does not help me escape the prison of the mind, is my enemy". And that of course can and does include yourself and your I's.

Those of us, including myself that have been "distracted", have to make the decision and the leap to the next level. We all must ask ourselves if we are truly dedicated to this work. This is not a hobby, and it is tremendously unfair to those who are dedicated fully to the battle.

We need to either do it, or get out of the way of others for whom this is not a game. So it's go time, and remember the enemy is closer than we realize, especially around mirrors.

Neema, I found your words very helpful and important, thank you! I think many others will benefit also by reading what you just wrote.

I just wanted to say that after speaking with neema, re-reading my posts and thinking about everything I've said- I did realize I was running a lot of programs. I did identify with everything said to puck as if it was being said to me and everyone else. That's a big program/predator in me. I automatically think when something is being said in general or about someone else, it's covertly being said to me too. Automatic would be the key word in the last sentence, ie running programs.

I feel very stupid now for all the stuff I wrote, but I realize that it needed to be said so that I can spot this program. Again, I'm very sorry to the mods.

As the saying goes, all is lessons- now it's time to apply the lesson I learned from this thread. Like:

- Never assume anything!
- Have more faith in the moderators of this forum, they've been around long enough to know what's what. They are not the enemy and always mean the best for everyone- even if it seems 'harsh' at the time. It isn't, it's just the truth.

You certainly are not alone in this battle puck...

We think highly of Puck, or we wouldn't waste time and energy explaining this to him.
Statements like this gives trust. Personally it makes me think about how patient and external considered people the Moderators are. I guess sometimes some of us lose the dimension of their work, they are not just forum moderators but they are guiding our learning experience, they are sharing what they learned from their own experiences.

Whenever i read some "harsh" response from Mods or Laura i try to keep in mind that they don´t even have to reply, but they invest their energy giving their comments wich if objectively taken, provide us the needed answers.

I just wanted to say that I appreciate everyone's feedback. Especially the 'tough love'. I'm making the most of it, identified a new program. The shock itself has been pretty brutal, I even came down with a cold over the last few days which had interesting timing. Revisiting the psyche books again, something I've been meaning to do, but kept putting off. I have a lot of Father issues, and maybe I'll bring them up somewhere else after some more digging.

If you wouldn't use this language around your family or in your work, why would you use it anywhere? Why is there any part of you, any one of your "Is", that you even feed with this trash? For that is what it is: TRASH.

I'm also wondering why you even want to be part of FOTCM. I mean, have you really read the Statement of Principles?

I recall lunch table conversations in high school, they were always mindless, entertaining, and especially raunchy. We thought they were hilarious. Somewhere away from parents or teachers, we could just 'let loose', say whatever we wanted, and laugh at each other and see who could 'one up' it.

It strikes me now how the language in the video just slide past me. I didn't really hear what was being said, I was programmed to hear it as 'something to laugh at' and so I did. Perhaps something similar happens when spellbinders speak, the cognitive response is short-circuited and the intended 'reaction' is elicited via emotional hooks and triggers. That explanation seems horribly insufficient. :-[

I have read the Statement of Principles. I found them, aw-inspiring. Perhaps, reading them every night before the meditation/bed would help them to sink in.

Good to hear from you again, and I'm glad to see you've taken all of the mirroring in stride. I know this has been rough, but I think this has been a good learning experience, certainly for you but for others of us too. I was particularly touched by anart's and neema's last posts, and I hope you are able to take them to heart. I think the cold isn't just coincidental -- shock causes stress, and that lowers your immunity, and so on -- hope you feel better soon :)

Yes, but it is the truth, I think. And the horrible thing is that we come to accept this as normal because of the dumbing down and degrading of our minds and souls by this kind of thing that isn't even "wiseacreing" as Gurdjieff would call it. He would probably class it with the filth that he detested in Crowley.

SOTT recently published a couple of articles about the degradation of art, music, culture, in our world, and how this was accomplished. I hope you read them or will read them. (Can somebody find the links?) This is being done deliberately, to "normalize" pathology, the world-view of the psychopath. When you participate, you give them power and you subtract energy from true humanity. Young people do not have to be de-humanized to have their own milieu, but that is what has happened.

Youth is a time when young people practice being adults. What kinds of adults do you think this sort of "practice" will produce? The very kind that perpetuate evil and suffering.

If the people you hang out with now carry on this way and think it is funny, you definitely need to find new friends.

Imagine a world where those principles were the guiding standards for all. Do you think it will come into being without energy being added to the system? Of course not. And any energy you are adding to the pathological system is energy taken from a new and better world. Think about it. Which world do you want to live in? Which part of you do you want to feed? To grow? And then, just DO it.

And you can read that one as well: Portrait of the CIA as an artist.

Yup. That's another good one. I don't know about you, Puck, Deedlet, and others, but I don't like being manipulated to think that I like things that are not good for me, to become addicted to things that are soul destroying, or to have my thinking twisted by spell-binding and outright deception. It really gets my dander up. But, if you are content to be mind-controlled robots or have tapioca for brains, be my guest. Just be honest about it and don't try to sit on two stools.

Real constructive critism that really helps. And to think I used to believe it to be a myth. Oh the wonder of it all! I enjoy observing truth prevail for the benefit and betterment of others. :)
Is betterment a word? I hope so. I'm going to go look that it. It probably isn't.

Hi Puck,

I just want to say that over the years that you have been participating I have seen you grow and it has brought me joy and inspiration.
If I may quote from Batman Begins:
Alfred Pennyworth: Took quite a fall, didn't we, Master Bruce?
Thomas Wayne: And why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.
