Tucker Carlson interviews & ideologies

And here is the interview with the 'libertarian'.

He's so well behaved... a far cry from the guy that screams insults at people. But he says a lot of reasonable things, a lot. But he also has some really nuts ideas about how to run the country that truly concerns me for Argentina.

Despite his reasonable answers, there's something about his speech pattern that lacks depth and it almost sounds like he doesn't really comprehend what he's saying, more like he's rehearsing. I will allow nervousness, but not sure about this guy.

It is not and will not be the first time that someone says reasonable things to capture an audience. It is textbook for a politician in these contexts to use a real discontent to capitalize on it.

And much of what he says, lies by omission of data.

For example, here we know that indeed climate change is not an exclusive product of man but to generalize that the climate change lobby is something of socialist origin as he puts it, is to completely ignore that behind it there is not only ideology, there are the interests of technocrats and multinationals that will adopt one ideology or another for the sake of their coveted profit. And here is what is not perceived: ideology or ideologies are not the cause, they are the tool.

In another section when he talks about buildings, the aesthetics of the square and the ugly that he attributes to socialism, is to ignore the history of art. In this case he ignores that much of that aesthetic comes from the Bauhaus school of Weimar Germany. That school, although it was not alien to the ideologies of the time, tried to remain neutral. The question here is that this aesthetic is the one that would define after World War II, what we know as industrial design. Milei in his ignorance does not realize that:

At the time of its founding, the objectives of the school, characterized by Gropius in a manifesto, were: "The recovery of craft methods in construction activity, to raise the power of craftsmanship to the same level as the Fine Arts and try to market the products that, integrated into industrial production, would become consumer objects affordable to the general public" since one of its goals was to become independent and start selling the products made at the School, to stop depending on the State that until then was the one who subsidized them.

It seems to me that a design school that wants to be independent from the state is a rather libertarian concept...

Finally, to say that socialism has been gradually embraced for 100 years is again to ignore Argentina's own history and economy. It is well known that before Perón's first government (Revolution of 1943), he was characterized by being profoundly anti-communist:

I could add more, but I think it is clear what I mean. Milei may say two or three truths but his ignorance of history and geopolitics (to say that Putin is a communist just because he associates him with China, is an ignorance not of past history of decades, but of recent history) puts him at the level of what he criticizes. If we add to that his extravagance with his pets, tantric sex etc etc... more woke in that sense I don't know what there is...

His name-dropping of Friedman, Hayek, and Bentham are intended to impress his intellectual credentials upon anglophones, but actually his most insightful contribution to 'the culture wars' is his moral condemnation of 'leftist values'. But even there one has to tread carefully because what he's really describing are ponerological features common to 'snakes in suits' found in all political movements, and which so happen to be largely concentrated in 'the left' today.

La Derecha Diario's Media Director BasilNatalia, exclusively interviews the most famous journalist in the United States, Tucker Carlson, days after his interview with Javier Milei.

I ask after watching this video, how many times does one have to hear how educated and intelligent we Argentines are, and how rich we are in natural resources? I would think that one mention is enough, right?

I am just saying, Europe is exhausted, Africa no longer wants colonialism and Russia is no longer so generous with its resources. But if you want to label me paranoid I won't be offended. It's just that as an Argentinean I'm tired of cheap flattery and being asked what's in my pocket...

Yep,

A lot of his stance is Washington's dogma justified with hate to the left. so, I hate Putin because Washington hates Putin, and I will justify it with saying that he's a socialist. That's kind of it really.

If the translation was correct, I noted a possible freudian slip:

He said something like „politicians are lowlives even more so than ordinary people.“

So does he consider ordinary people lowlives?

So does he consider ordinary people lowlives?
I believe it too and what exists are individuals who are exceptions to that.

Secrets are jealously kept in people, but going with prostitutes, taking drugs, getting drunk very often, cheating on your partner with other women or men, giving in to materialism with terrible consequences for those who depend on you..., and I could go on and on.

What we generally see from people is a facade, a representation, an performance that hides what is really happening.

And I'm glad that in your living environment you can't see this.

So does he consider ordinary people lowlives?
I would say so, at least those who disagree with him. There's a whole set of videos where he simply goes live on TV screaming and shouting at people who question him. So, yes.. he has not made a secret about it, the thing is that some people think that he hates some of society... but in fact, he seems to hate all of society.

Ken Paxton Drops Some Truth BOMBS In Tucker Carlson Interview

In his first interview since his recent acquittal in an impeachment trial, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sat down with Tucker Carlson and made some startling revelations.

Paxton implicated the Biden administration in his impeachment proceedings, stating that two of the four lawyers involved in the investigation were from the Department of Justice in Washington.

"There were two of the four House investigating lawyers that worked at the Department of Justice in Washington. That’s not random," Paxton stated. He further explained that the House investigating committee comprised five members, three Republicans and two Democrats. "And they hired, I think it was four lawyers. Two of them came from the Biden DOJ. That’s not an accident. They were sent there."
Paxton, who has filed 48 lawsuits against the Biden administration, believes that his actions were the motivation behind the deployment of these lawyers. "We were causing a lot of trouble for the Biden administration. Even if we didn’t, we slowed them down. We were winning. Like, I think our number is 77 percent of our cases," he said. Paxton asserted that his actions were a significant problem for the Biden administration and that his impeachment was a strategy to remove him from the equation.

When asked by Carlson if he believed that the Biden administration was behind the efforts to remove him from office, Paxton responded, "I really do." He added, "I think that’s where it was instigated. And then there were other groups in Texas."

Paxton also pointed out the involvement of Texans for Lawsuit Reform, a group that had heavily funded Eva Guzman, Paxton's rival in the 2022 elections. "And they thought that if they got enough people running against me, they could take me out of a primary, run me out of money by putting me into a runoff. And this group has spent a lot of money and they were certainly not only part of trying to get me defeated, but they were also very much a part of this effort," Paxton said.

He further claimed that the group had published articles and sent them to Karl Rove at the Wall Street Journal, who subsequently published them. In contrast, Paxton's attempts to get his editorials published in the same outlet were unsuccessful.

Despite the challenges, Paxton expressed his eagerness to return to his office and continue his work. "I’ve been thinking about what I want to do when I get back since the day I left and so I’m reenergized to do the things that I think the voters sent me to do," he said.

Paxton, who ran for Attorney General again, stated his commitment to stopping the Biden administration from "ignoring the Constitution and just ram-rodding things through outside of the legislative process." He warned, "If we don’t fight now, we’re gonna lose our freedom. We lose Texas, we lose everything."

It's so nice to get a win every once in a while and this was a big one!

Here’s the recent interview of Bill O'Reilly, done by Tucker Carlson.

One off.

I think that the vast majority of Tuckers interview are good, and sometimes great, but also, he has these “one offs” or (one of these things is not like the other) interviews e.g. Andrew Tate, and the President of El Salvador.

I’ll leave it to you to decide if this one is “odd” or not.

The Salem witches / making of the movie Exorcist / and witch hunting today, I found interesting.

Kennedy assassination: O'Reilly says (paraphrase) so many people have made some much money off of these conspiracy theories, but look Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy. He did it! Tuckers immediate answer was “right”.

The final points in the interview from “my point of view” was extolling the virtues of O’Reilly and secondly those of Donald Trump.
