What are you listening to?

Echoes : A beautiful Pink Floyd song about Empathy :

...
Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me.
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand
The best I can.
...

Thanks for finding this. Very nice. They give away a CDs worth of MP3s on their site.

E Muzeki-

"The group's primary instrumental blend includes acoustic guitar with either Gypsy or Celtic violin, or the Greek bouzouki as the melodic lead, and vast array of percussion. Often, however, the musicians will shift voices introducing the indian sitar or sitara, Flamenco guitar, accordion, penny whistle, and rauschphife, creating rich and exuberant musical textures rarely experienced by western ears.

Drawing from Gypsy, Greek, Spanish, and Celtic traditions while not being bound by them, the group has developed a unique and captivating style. Whether playing actual folk repertoire, or one of their original compositions, E Muzeki brings fresh emotion to ancient musical tradition, drawing listeners of all ages and from every walk of life." http://www.emuzeki.com/emuzeki.html

Shelter From The Storm - Bob Dylan

'Twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood
When blackness was a virtue and the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

And if I pass this way again, you can rest assured
I'll always do my best for her, on that I give my word
In a world of steel-eyed death, and men who are fighting to be warm.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

Not a word was spoke between us, there was little risk involved
Everything up to that point had been left unresolved.
Try imagining a place where it's always safe and warm.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail,
Poisoned in the bushes an' blown out on the trail,
Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

Suddenly I turned around and she was standin' there
With silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair.
She walked up to me so gracefully and took my crown of thorns.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

Now there's a wall between us, somethin' there's been lost
I took too much for granted, got my signals crossed.
Just to think that it all began on a long-forgotten morn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

Well, the deputy walks on hard nails and the preacher rides a mount
But nothing really matters much, it's doom alone that counts
And the one-eyed undertaker, he blows a futile horn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

I've heard newborn babies wailin' like a mournin' dove
And old men with broken teeth stranded without love.
Do I understand your question, man, is it hopeless and forlorn?
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

In a little hilltop village, they gambled for my clothes
I bargained for salvation an' they gave me a lethal dose.
I offered up my innocence and got repaid with scorn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

Well, I'm livin' in a foreign country but I'm bound to cross the line
Beauty walks a razor's edge, someday I'll make it mine.
If I could only turn back the clock to when God and her were born.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."

Nite Becomes Day - Citizen Cope

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNB7obFAdNE&feature=related

Things have been getting real heavy these days
The media the system
the people chasing pay
Somebody's got a rifle he won't turn the other cheek
Now its his turn

Things have been getting real hectic these days
An eye for an eye
A spade is a spade
They're shooting him down and he's running away
That was their turn

I believe in
The same thing that makes the night become day
Tide and the water
Sons and the daughters
Can't hide it can't fight it
Love
I'm a say it again

It's the same thing that makes the moonlight
Meet up with the sunlight
Can't fight it can't buy it
Love... I'm a say it again

When cut deep the same blood we bleed
We're not immune to addiction or disease
Got violent deaths in our family trees
Now it's our turn

Things have been seeming real ready these days
From the North to the South to the East to the West
Happiness will you put it to your chest
When it's your turn

If There's Love lyrics - Citizen Cope

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABYR7mJ4iSw&feature=related

Where you been hidin'?
I'm believing
You give me life
Life my dear
You give me strength to beat the odds
And overcome my fears
You make me feel like I belong under the sun
You never grow old
Because you're forever young

[chorus:]
If there's love...
I just want to have somethin' to do with it
I just wanna feel yours
[repeat chorus]

When I'm alone you make me feel at home
If I give enough of you
To a higher place we'll go
You make me feel like I belong under the sun
You'll never grow old
Because you're forever young
And you know that you got my tomorrow baby
Today and yesterday
Believe that you've got my tomorrow baby
I'll hold you close as far as I can see

[chorus]

My Way Home - Citizen Cope

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72VS0qj7ER4&feature=related

Sometimes I miss a step
I stumble here and there
I'm findin' my way home
If I'm lost then I'll admit
Sometimes I plain forget
I'm findin' my way home
You can try and stand in my way
You can say what you're gonna say
But I'm finding my way home

Penitentiary - Citizen Cope

http://www.playlist.com/searchbeta/tracks#citizen%20cope%20penitentiary

Well I'm waiting on the day
When the people walk free to see
When the penitentiary is on fire
When there's no need
To bleed
For your mother or your brother
Or the one that bomes before you whoa
Well I'm waiting on a time when people walk free to see
From the penitentiary in our mind
When there's no need to bleed
For your father
Or your son
Or the one that you've become
When the penitentiary is on fire
When the penitentiary is on fire

I'm waiting on the day
When the people walk free to see
When the penitentiary is on fire
there's no need
To bleed
For your father or your son
Or the one that you've become and a
I'm waiting on a time when people walk
free to see
when the penitentiary in our mind
there's no need to bleed
For your mother
Or your brother
or the one that come before ya yea

When the penitentiary is on fire
When the penitentiary is on fire
When the penitentiary is on fire
When the penitentiary is on fire

Synchronicity I

http://www.playlist.com/searchbeta/tracks#synchronicity%20i%20police

With one breath, with one flow
You will know
Synchronicity

A sleep trance, a dream dance,
A shared romance,
Synchronicity

A connecting principle,
Linked to the invisible
Almost imperceptible
Something inexpressible.
Science insusceptible
Logic so inflexible
Causally connectible
Yet nothing is invincible.

If we share this nightmare
Then we can dream
Spiritus mundi.

If you act, as you think,
The missing link,
Synchronicity.

We know you, they know me
Extrasensory
Synchronicity.

A star fall, a phone call,
It joins all,
Synchronicity.

It's so deep, it's so wide
Your inside
Synchronicity.

Effect without a cause
Sub-atomic laws, scientific pause
Synchronicity..................................

[Note: This song is giving me the creeps not to mention the thought of possibly having formed a Black Magnetic center that is scaring the hell out of me at the moment.
A sleep trance, a dream dance,
A shared romance,
Synchronicity

Its such a perfect day~~ this song is by ColdPlay. Who recently won an Oscar for their main-stream song. "Viva La Vida~" = 'Death & My Friends'.
This other song they made will mostly not make it to main-stream, its called "Strawberry Swing".

Incredible message in there- me, me- I can not stand the start of it, absolutely can not stand them high pitch tones, i cringe.

Bear thru the hard starts and victory is ours, eh- no?!

While reading this thread the following quote reminded me of a song I heard a few years ago:
National Geographic article said:
"The iron in our blood comes from supernovas," says astrophysicist Andrew macFadyen. "There's a direct connection between stars and us."
The following is that song:

Hippiehaus Galaxy - Hotel Costes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdLGPY3nGdg

Though I know I could be wrong
There seems to be a way to linger on
Will we stumble will we fall

I feel, I feel down and live
Oh yeah

Though I know I should be strong
I feel that I'll be weak and you'll be gone
Though I know I should believe

I feel, I feel down and live

Though I know I should be strong
I feel that I'll be weak and you'll be gone
Though I know I should believe

I believe that we will see
Tomorrow is the day for you and me
In the end we will be free

We're stars in the galaxy
We're stars in the galaxy
