Deep thoughts today for some reason...

One Of The Best Covers You’ll Ever Hear! [I agree!]
The opening track to Side 3 of Pink Floyd’s The Wall is one of the greatest songs in the history of music! “Hey You” encapsulates everything about the album’s main character, Pink.
It’s a dark, eerie and grand song that serves as the climax for the album.
No one performs “Hey You” quite like Pink Floyd, obviously, but there are some pretty damn good covers out there.
This one in particular by heavy metal band Bobaflex [from Point Pleasant, West V.!] will completely blow your mind.
These heavy metal guys stay true to the original tune of the song, but add subtle changes. Their cover is a tad heavier, and the solo is alightly altered. But other than that, it’s pretty hard to find a better cover than this one!

They shut the gates at sunset
After that you can't get out
You can see the bigger picture
Find out what it's all about
You're open to the skyline
You won't want to go back home
In a garden full of angels
You will never be alone
But oh the road is long
The stones that you are walking on
Have gone
With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive
And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
If you close the door to your house
Don't let anybody in
It's a room that's full of nothing
All that underneath your skin
Face against the window
You can watch it fade to grey
But you'll never catch the fickle wind
If you choose to stay
But oh the road is long
The stones that you are walking on
Have gone
With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive
And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive
And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive
And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows
Just enjoy the ride

Michael Franti - Bomb the World
Citizen of the world
I don't have a war anthem nor a homeland nor a President
I have no army but that of those who want
To fight for love despite the rule of money
I have no people to exploit, no wealth to produce for my own
I have no ground to protect from these miserable people who come from around the world
And if we should starve to death together here, be welcome
Rather die than live in abundance, dressed in clothes when so many others are naked
Citizen of the world, supporter of a world without borders
There is the good foreigner who you welcome arms open wide
And there is the bad one who you hunt down as soon as he crosses your border
There is the good one, who will be useful to you
And there is the hoodlum who you don't want to see coming to your town at all
If you look for the brute, go where you talk dollars, cash and crude oil
But anyway don't look for the sheriff I shot him down when he told me he only protected the rich
Citizen of the world, supporter of a world without borders
And if you're not happy with your share, you'll take more without having to fight
There are so many losers in this world, so easy to knock down
Look at all these borders they are but dark scars
Open wounds of ancient conquests, remains of useless sacrifices
So many poor soldiers sent for the task died
While in some cosy place the colonels were celebrating the victory with champagne
There is only one dream I chase, one sentence that sounds inside of me
Beyond the borders the Earth must belong to all or to none
Citizen of the world, supporter of a world without borders
