What are you listening to?

Having lost a sister at about the same age it makes me realize how short the lives of so many musicians seems to be. She was only 46 with 3 children and a boyfriend left behind.

Thanks for posting the above live version of The Icicle Melts, goyacobol.

Thought the following was pretty neat, a choir singing Zombie! Zombie might be my favorite song of theirs:

Cleo,

I don't think I ever stopped long enough to hear the lyrics of many of the more recent groups' songs. Showing my age I guess.

Another group that went unnoticed until recently with such an evil sounding name is "Metallica" ooo...

I like the simple Martin guitar accompaniment.

there are some very powerful lyrics in a lot of the metal genre, I used to be a big metal head in my youth, and part of the attraction was the deep lyrical content ;)

and now for some singer songwriter gold :)

"Once I knew an ancient beauty
Woke in the morning on hearing word of my fate
Now she is bound by fear within the harem
But one night with the master is all the love she is worth

Oh to have been born a thousand years later
She'd be a girl in the window dancing unknowing for me
Now all her trials concealed in the story of millions
A love no less worthy spirited now in the mist

Endless night, endless night, endless night
Endless night, endless night, endless night"
