A very powerful video reminding me how everything is fragile and to enjoy little things the present can offer to us
"We all try to control our little worlds. We all come up with plans for our future, and we try to stay on track with those plans. But life just happens, and it can blow everything we thought our life would be out of the water in a blink. Nothing is ever really in its right place.
Yet, we never stop trying to put things 'right.' We pick up pieces of our old, broken plans and we try to build new ones, over and over, totally at the mercy of our own chaotic little worlds."
Some tracks from Led Zeppelin's 1976 record, Presence. Singer Robert Plant had a car accident prior to its recording, and so laid down his vocals from a wheelchair. Surprisingly rocking stuff given those circumstances. They were a band that was adept at creating an atmosphere of eeriness in their music. Plant in particular is a good bloke, he visited a small Welsh village called Solva (about 4 miles from where I live, and it was where I grew up) last summer, regaling the locals with his mastery of the Welsh language. He loves the local culture, plus it was free advertising for the local pubs he visited! Apparently he's partial to a mild cider. This is what I would call Celtic Rock music, utterly unique. Obviously there's a strong Blues influence too, as was common to all the great British musicians of the post-war era.
