What are you listening to?

Been listening to Clif High rap song, named DMX & Grand Master woo Clif High.

I never listen to rap, but because it was clif I decided to listen
I've had a close death in the family, so the Lyrics at about 1:19 seconds, kinda touched me.

"We all thought you loved yourself
But that couldn't of been the issue.
Maybe they just figuring that,
Now cause they miss you
Maybe they have this issue........
That's why you're laying on your back looking at the roof of the church.
Quit telling the truth and it hurts."

For mature audiences

Living the rez life; with politics they way they are here.
The song makes sense to me, from my viewpoint.

An oldie but a goldie.

Lyrics:

A popularity of invasion
Handed down through centuries
A force of arms called gentle persuasion
What have we learned from history?

Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)

Human worth is so inexpensive
Compared to gold, the root of most wars
Subtract the tears from countless offences
What is left but guns and scars

Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)

Well, as for me, I'm gonna keep lovin'
'Cause it's the only sane thing to do
'Cause I'm not into pushin' and shovin'
No confrontation, what have you?

Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
Apparently nothin' (Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)

(Ooohooo...)

I ain't trying to rule your mind
A conscious observer trying to find
A place on earth where they heed the signs
Beware of conflicts that ruin mankind

If you want things more better
Withstand the tides of the bad weather
The struggle thrives when we all gather
Down at the bank of the soul river, yeah

(Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently) (Ooohooo)
(Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)
(Apparently nothin', nothin' apparently)

See the light
Show yo' light
'Cause this little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine

Everywhere I go (Apparently nothin')
I'm gonna let my light glow (Nothin' apparently)
Everywhere I go (Apparently nothin')
I'm gonna let my light glow (Nothin' apparently)

(Apparently nothin') Anytime y'all (Nothin' apparently), ohoho
(Apparently nothin') Anytime
(Nothin' apparently) Anytime y'all, anytime y'all
Anytime y'all (Apparently nothin')

You got to see the light (Nothin' apparently)
You got to see the light (Apparently nothin')
You got to see the light (Nothin' apparently)
(Apparent, apparent)

(Apparently nothin') No, no, no, no, no, no, no

VRï - "Cainc Sain Tathan"

VRï are three young men from deepest, darkest chapel-going Wales who have mined the cultural upheaval of past centuries and drawn inspiration from the incredible story of a time when Wales’ traditional music and dance was suppressed by Methodist chapels, and, earlier, its language by the Act of Union. As audio archaeologists, VRï have unearthed long-lost nuggets that shed a new light on a vibrant folk tradition that harnesses the raw energy of the fiddle with the finesse of the violin, the beauty of chamber music with the joy and hedonism of a pub session. Their songs, sung with powerful vocal harmonies, tell stories of the people who struggled 200 years ago, just as many struggle today. It’s a wonderful and unique soundscape that connects across the centuries to give us a sense of belonging, of community, and a magical feeling of weightlessness and uplifting freedom.
