What's the weather where you are?

Enfin ce matin quelques gouttes de pluie sur la Côte d'Azur en France, cela fait tant de bien et rafraichit un tout petit peu, ce matin 23° à 6h30...
Merci pour vos nouvelles Météo...

Finally this morning some drops of rain on the Cote d'Azur in France, this is so good and refreshed a little bit this morning at 6:30 ... 23 °
Thank you for your new Weather ...

Today on the NW English coast was beautiful at around 21C with not a cloud in the sky ALL day. The sun on your face tingles but the wind still has a bit of low temp though.

Generally, however, the word unsettled has been used for most days.. it's either rained for part of the day (often the morning) clearing by the afternoon. And people are still commenting on "where is summer"

You can see from the image attached below how a cloudy day has looked which, i think, is quite unusual to have so many of those days at this time, and for most of the day. The nights are quite balmy though at the moment, even on a clear night, i'd say around 13C.

It is warmer than July, i think, and England tends to be hottest in August/September if i recall correctly but this Thursday/Friday > we are scheduled the following:
Met Office
Severe weather warnings have been issued for the risk of localised intense downpours tomorrow and Friday for most of the country.

I know Sott has already posted an article about the farmers struggling in Scotland due to the wet weather, but the BBC recently did a morning 'news' bit on the issue. And i found some of the commentary interesting since it shows those who are immediately effected by the unusual weather are becoming worried.

The first 5 minutes are ok but i've noted some comments below so no need to watch it :) BBC's reporting is pathetic anyway:
One farmer says: "I haven't seen anything like it in 30 years". The BBC: "People are concerned as the farming calendar goes out of kilter"
"Very wet, very cold, we're in Autumn now." "the food stores [from this years harvest] are usually much more than this"

"Snow patches aren't unheard of but this year is highly unusual [Glencoe in the mountains)... this year might break that record" "Very poor summer.. really unusual..seeing it all throughout the highlands"

BBC: "Jet stream is the culprit" "It's not just the dairy market...bla bla market forces effecting the market"

Then they go on about the cost of milk and lamb and how they're competing.

Tough economic time for Scottish farmers (11Aug15)

Here in California...it is Hot 94 degrees going up towards the weekend to up to 102 degrees....

Thought about posting about the weather here in São Paulo, Brazil, many times but I always postponed it. We are now in winter but I forgot when I last had to wear a jacket, it seems like we are in the summer season. It seems like we're in for more hot days:

It's kinda of funny, after sharing and talking about the several articles dealing with the imminent ice age that now we have to sweat all day...

Severe rain warnings for South East of England. 1 months worth of rain expected in 36 hours today (Thurs & Fri) High humidity expected too around 27 degrees.

Very hot here in the isle of Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the south of the isle the temperature was 52 Celsius, 125,6 Fahrenheit.

edit: correct the Fahrenheit number.

One of the few times the weather forecasters have been accurate :)

As mentioned previously, it seems the UK populace noticed somethings been up with the weather this year.

The below is a selection of 'summer holiday' pics as sent in by guardian readers. it's raining today, as per many of the photos, and yesterday it was building up with some areas far south flooding - even further north in Manchester the rain has been heavy actually, but it hit the south first.

It was so warm he nearly took his fleece and hat off. I was in danger of heatstroke so loosened my scarf a little.

North of Italy, finally today the rain has arrived, well i know this summer i complained a lot about the ongoing heat waves that persisted through the summer, but honestly it was a hell of a summer, i don't remember experiencing such a hot summer as this one, anyway it seems that for at least a week the temperatures will drop at least 10° C and it will rain almost the whole next week, afterthat maybe we will have some sunny days, with pleasent weather, so it's good news for me, at least, The heat waves it seams are now only a bad dream in the past, will see :D.

A tiny bit of rain after long hot summer days. Very many of these days were above 30oC, which is unusual for Southern Bavaria. This started around the time Laura returned from travelling. Very few rain since then. The grass is ocher with some greenish hints. Normally it is green all year round. Many trees decided to start fall and loose leaves. We were asked in the medias to water street trees to give them some help in this way. Media also told that they forbade smoking in some parks for fear that a fire is started.

I remember that only 2 other similar long, hot summers: 1976 and 2003

Southern part of Croatian coast: 39 degrees Celsius during the day third month in a row (should be between 33-35, last year it was extremely cold during this period around 29). No rain from the first week of the may. Two times we had couple of rain drops, but the soil is so warm and dry that rain drops evaporated seconds after hitting ground. During whole summer we have only once norther wind "Bura" and two times NW wind "Maestral" although they are regular passat winds in this part of Mediterranean. Instead of that we are experiencing extremely dry SE wind "Šiloko" (Sirocco), although this wind suppose to bring moisture and rain from the sea. Sea temperature 29 degrees Celsius in our local bay, should be around 26.

Measured yesterday 41 degrees Celsius on local parking lot, couple days ago my mother left plastic bucked in the car, after five hours, plastic bucket melted like ice cream and glued itself to the seat.

Couple weeks ago, thanks to the drought, part of peninsula Pelješac and island Korčula experienced wild fires, they were so nasty could be seen from the satellite in the space.

North Yorkshire (UK)was very wet seemed to be raining most of the day. Very heavy for a few hours in the afternoon while walking the dogs. My son and I were drenched but he enjoyed puddle jumping. Just read about the large sink hole that opened in Manchester on sott. It appears to have been a wet 24 hours all over the UK.

Rained yesterday; rained today. 17/18 C most of the day. Supposed to get even cooler overnight. More rain tomorrow. South West France.

Cool temperatures during the night, warm weather during the day. That is better than the relentless heat during earlier weeks.

Over the last couple of weeks, there was a huge storm. I spent one hour stitching together some injuries from a person who got catapulted off the ground by thunder. He fell on his face and broke his nose. He was lucky, it could have been worse!

Saw the Perseids as well, at least 4-6 of them. It was beautiful.

In Serbia people are condemned for watering their vegetables and "city manager" of Belgrade said that those people will be punished!
