What's the weather where you are?

Weather here in New Mexico USA is as unpredictable as it has been since I moved here eight years ago. We seem to get sun, wind, and rain daily. Today it reached 100 degrees. I wonder why the weather is changing so dramatically all over yet it seems to stay the same here??

Amazing start of summer in Calamocha (200 Km. from where I am). 15 minutes of hailstone.

In La Rioja, where I live (north of Spain) we are having spring temperatures this week but we've had some days full of "sheets of rain" a few days ago. Not at all usual here.

Still chilly and rainy in the Toulouse area and most of France. It was interesting to travel to Italy and Croatia where things got warm and nice, and then drive home to the same old chill and wet. I noticed that the weather began to change in about northwest Italy. But when we turned the corner at Narbonne and started moving inland, that's when it became really obvious.

Chilly, and particularly windy up North in The Netherlands. It has been raining, but moderately. I have lit the wood stove a couple of times. :P

There is no snow right where I am, but there is some higher up on the surrounding hills. Being on the coast, the ocean moderates the climate.

100km further inland, they have just had what is being called a 1-in-30 year snowfall, about 500mm of snow, or in some places waist-deep. (Otago, New Zealand).

Right now, about 67 degrees F, cloudy and damp so it feels even cooler. Haven't seen the sun so far today.

Here in Dracula's land we had a very hot week, daily average above 30 degree, with thunderstorms every second day. On June 19Th the storm was quite strange: basically, I like thunderstorms - I feel more alive, refreshed, charged during and afterwards. But this one knock me off - very violent, strong winds, hail, but not at all refreshing. I couldn't sleep well, and I felt numb for 2 days. Who knows what was discharged, but it was huge. There was also a minor earthquake.
This area is usually protected from wild events, should I dare to say, safer. Lesser exposure due to location.

Took these photos 2 hours ago (Croatia). In the morning it was sunny, then there was some rain and thunder, and now it is again sunny, but I hear thunder in the distance... I think it is going to be again some rain and thunder.

Wow, these are amazing!
I keep taking pictures of strange cloud formations as well. Perhaps I'll post them some time too.

I'm currently in finland and have been here since January, so I have no point of comparison to tell if things changed here, but where I live, which is Ireland, the sky offers some spectacular shows of probably all possible clouds at once, changing shapes and structures in "real time", and over last few years the changes are very visible if one only wishes to observe them. When I get back there some timelapses will be in high order.

In Croatia the past week was unbearable hot - about 35° C with no wind (summer at its worst). Today some wind has cooled down Dalmatia, but in Slavonija (town of Osijek and surrounding area) there was a serious hailstorm with extremely strong and sudden wind that has shaken (?) the whole city, with some roofs and cars damaged:

This happened on Saturday around 23.30...

...and it seems that main ice unload was delivered 30 min before in Inđija (Vojvodina/Serbia) where ice clods were size of tennis ball and apple (look at second video :O). Some 30 pepole reported traumas on their heads and extremities...

It was 9.9 C / 53 F degrees here at 8 a.m. Total overcast, light, damp breeze. It feels like living under a bowl.

Finally a hot June here in Italy, apart some 'water bombs' here and there. Up to 36 deg Celsius for nearly two and a half weeks. This week it's going to be rather rainy and cold according to the weather forecasts, and then again a warm July.

Weather oddities: Last week, on Friday, while I was driving back home at 3 pm, I noticed two black pillars of clouds descending from a cloudy spot on the sky at a certain distance, temperature was about 35C, the rest of the sky was clear and sunny. It happened than one of the two 'pillars' was right over the autoroute I was driving into... once there, I realized that it was rain, lots of rain and wind, actually it was like a super localized and compressed hurricane. The road was completely flooded, cars were parking on the right side and trees were bending under a strong flow of air and rain. Had to slow down to 30Km/h and then exit the road entering to a refueling station that magically appeared on the right side. There were a dozen or more fellows who gathered for a shelter there, under the gasoline pump roof, sharing in disbelief what the heck was going on... The storm lasted probably for half an hour. After 5 minutes I left the station and in about half a minute I was out of that hurricane: sunny weather and 35C again. That was really odd!!

The same here in Germany, violent thunderstorms going on for more than two hours...

Same in Croatia, or at least the part I'm living at. Storm started literally out of a blue sky.

After one week of extreme heat of up to 38 °C, the temperatures and weather conditions (rainy) are back to autumn.
Now the temperatures are again much to low here (8°C- 15 °C).

I have the feeling that this short week of high summer temperatures last week was the last one for this year... (southwest germany)
