What's the weather where you are?

While I was vacationing in the Western part of NC this past weekend, I didn't realize that there were tornadoes nearby, lots of thunderstorms, and caused damages until today.

A couple of days ago here in North of Italy it was a pretty good weather temperatures during day arriving till 23-25 C,today instead is raining and the temperatures have dropped to 12 C during the day and 8 C during the night so it's like more of an autumn weather than spring weather.

Currently under a tornado watch here in North Georgia. Looks like it is going to be a long night.

Hoping everyone in the southeast stays safe. :hug2:

Today's photo report on the consequences of storm in Novosibirsk, Siberia: http://news.ngs.ru/more/1790921/.
The report is in Russian, but the photos are self-explanatory: numerous bus stop pavilions turned upside down, fallen trees, etc.

Cloudy, cool and rainy with occasional stormy/windy spells here in the South of France. Spring had started a couple weeks ago, now seems to be on hold.

Falls was going into spring and winter was missing here in Southern Bavaria. Too few rain or snow fell since November. Lately some rain fell and the plants got some needed water. This year’s vegetation is still 3-4 weeks ahead of last years. The fruit is blooming very early this year compared to the long year average. If this trend continues then we will get a dry summer.

Serbia. Very mild, almost inexistent winter, except for about 10 days. Now the real and usual spring with enough rain for this time of the year. The few last springs was more dry. Vegetation rich and on time (as far as I can see). The only unusual is strong winds which blows from time to time.

Cape Town, South Africa - Nothing major weird, but cloudy in the morning, then rainy and windy late morning, then sunny until about 2PM, then raining & windy again, and now just windy, seemingly normal.

Weather has been cycling like that, which is not really that normal, but not enough to set off alarm bells, yet. And I swear the sun has subtly changed position, as I drive to work in the morning and the glare from the sun is , different, somehow. Maybe it's just hyper-sensitive ol' me.

The thing is, we're supposed to have summer weather here now - I remember 33 degrees regularly here, sometimes with the usual "berg wind" (hot wind that blows from the mountains). None of that this year ... very strange but no-one I speak to seems to notice except for the milder unusual stuff...

Weird weather going on in the Netherlands: April 2014 is the fifth month in a row with a place in the top 10 of warmest months since records began. Such a series of mild months is very rare.

Compare this to last year, when we experienced the coldest Spring in 40 years. Also, according to the Nature Calendar, nature's signs of the seasons arrived a month earlier than was the case last year. See attached photo.

Another interesting thing happened on April 24th: a hailstorm caused the temperature to drop 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit) in just 10 minutes. Intensive rain showers as we've seen in April are rare, and actually usually happen during the summer. Something is definitely up.

Mid-North Coast NSW. Finally autumn has hit. We went from 26 - 30 degrees Celsius last week, to tops of 18- 20 degrees C all this week.

In Finland we've had an early spring with temperatures of 15-20° C in the day, until maybe a week ago, when the temperatures dropped close to 0° C, and there has been occasional hail- and snowshowers.

Cold here in the mountains, not a great deal of valley bottom warming, however, the leaves have sprouted and the migratory birds made it back. The snow-pack is still pretty high without a great deal of runoff.

Long term summer forecast for Canada (assume northern states too) describes the east as being wet and cold and the west (western Alberta through BC) as being hot and dry - could be a building wildfire season through to September/October.

Storms here in the UK again. Not as heavy as before, but storms.

Strange thing is that it's not really covered in the media. I don't have TV, so don't know if they report about it there, but there is nothing really online, no warnings, nothing.
