What's the weather where you are?

Same here. It was 27°C today in Belgium. A few weeks ago, it was around 10-12 °C.

Same in the UK. A few weeks ago we were getting very chilly winds dragging the temp down to anything between 8-12C, it was also quite cloudy; today, blazing sunshine 20-22C. And it has been incrementally getting warmer.

Around spring this 'false start' normally happens, where following a few weeks of a gorgeous spring, 'april showers' follow, so as per the chatter elsewhere online, this may be the same. But since the Met office said: "Heat wave" then "Snow" and we had neither; seems they're having trouble following any 'pattern'.

The situation in Los Cabos, Baja California México are becoming dangerous after the huge storm last weekend. Jail damages let inmates escape from the jail. There are many assaults with guns and knives, assaulting people in their home and the authorities have failed to control the situation. There are shortages of food and water ... Just today internet and telephone communication was reestablished. ATM are not working. Not Energy yet.
I have some pictures but cant find how to copy in this text....

Pretty cold for this time of the year, around 12C and the forecast for the night minus 1C.

I can imagine. Thanks for the report dulma and take care. I imagine also that travel is very limited with the arroyos flooding out. Hope nobody got caught in those after the rains started.

Added: we are enjoying a couple of summer days or so it seems. Really strange, the trees are shedding their leaves and it is still warm.

I've noticed this here (Croatia) also. I wonder if it's because of huge amounts of rain or countless days without sun? Some trees are looking like it's late October. Although this morning is sunny and pleasent but it seems not for long.

My God, these floods are horrendous and cause so much destruction. And afterwards everything is covered in tons of mud.
Hope you are alright, Persej, take care.
This is devastating and these floods are so dangerous.

Thank you for you concern Mariama, I'm safe. But these people are obviously not. There are plenty of this little villages and town which are sitting on a potentially very dangerous zones. None of these small rivers and streams are secured. Government won't do it, and people in this communities won't organize themselves and collect the money needed for the job.

One of these people said that he just bought a new car that is now completely destroyed. That's a minimum of 10,000 euros wasted, just from one person. If everybody gave just 1000 euros they could've secured their village from floods and avoided this disaster.

Very sunny in France (Paris area) since the last 10 days. Like a june weather

At least somebody is enjoying in this summer. :)

Some more videos about this latest flood in Eastern Serbia: http://www.b92.net/info/vesti/index.php?yyyy=2014&mm=09&dd=16&nav_category=16&nav_id=900385

I found on another website an interesting comment:

"You vote for SNS and you get a flood in return. How many times does God have to send you a signal?"

And then response to it:

"Human mind really has no limits. What does politics have to do with this predicament? With any party that would be in power this would happen. That is so ugly and sad. There is no salvation for us with that kind of thinking. We do not need a flood, we ourselves are our greatest evil. Poor people in all of this."

It seems that some people are getting a sense of this human-cosmic connection, but that quickly becomes criticized by pure materialists. Church, on the other hand, would rather blame gay people than politicians.

Poor people in all of this, indeed.

Anyway, floods and harsh winter will speed up revolution in march/april 2015. Not bad, universe really have its own ways in fixing the things. ;)

Re: What's the weather where you are? Hawaii Heat Wave

Such heat, much burn.

HONOLULU —If you think it's been hotter and more humid this month, you're right. This has been the hottest September in ten years.

The average has been 90 degrees. In 2013, the average for September was 87 degrees. In 2012, the average was 86 degrees and in 2011 it was 88 degrees.

There's a combination of reasons why the state has been feeling the heat and humidity.

The sea surface temperatures around the state have been warmer lately, up about 2 to 3 degrees. Waters are roughly 80-81 degrees, so whenever we get the breezes off the ocean it's not very cool and still very moist.

Currently, Hawaii is only at an El Nino watch with a 65 percent chance of El Nino this winter, but we are already seeing some El Nino like conditions.

The state also had more storms in the Central Pacific, which have knocked out the trades and kept the winds very light.

With this scenario, expect more hot and humid days ahead.

Wow Saša , that is quite something else. Funny- no mention of those floods in the news here in Australia.

Weather hasn't been crazy in Finland (no severe floods or anything), however it was zero degrees this morning. Quite unusual for south western Finland at this time of year. Expecting a high of plus five for today. Was an incredibly hot summer, and now a drastic change. Had to scrape my car windows this morning!

Around Kansas City,
Cooler Than Average. Barely Got Over 90F This Summer.
Our Humming Birds Don't Usually Leave Till The End Of Sept.
They Packed-Up Last Week, Although We Still Have About Three.

We Leave The Feeders Up For The Migrants.

I Hope That's Not An Omen For Winter.
It Can Get In The Sub-Teens Around Here.

If zero degrees is quite unusual for Finland in the first day of autumn, what do you say about 9 cm of snow in Serbia, just 1800 km down to the south? According to our meteorologists, a very rare event!
