The Situation In Germany

Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck had also already spoken out against a ban on energy imports from Russia. He sees an embargo as a threat to social peace. Finance Minister Christian Lindner said that the option of an import ban was on the table. At this time, however, it seems advisable for the perseverance of sanctions against Vladimir Putin not to take this step yourself.

Government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said that an embargo must be decided at EU level, it is not generally excluded.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had called for further and stricter sanctions against Russia. What is needed is a boycott of Russian exports and thus also the renunciation of oil and natural gas from Russia. Russia is financing itself despite the sanctions on commodity exports.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on CNN on Sunday: "Stop buying Russian oil." Russian oil and gas would "smelling of Ukrainian blood." He extended his appeal to "all Western companies to withdraw from Russia for 'humanitarian' reasons."

High dependence on Russia

Germany is dependent on Russia for fossil fuels. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the share of Russian imports in fossil gas imports into Germany is around 55 percent, for coal around 50 percent and for crude oil imports around 35 percent. In the EU, 40 percent of the imported gas comes from Russia.

Energy supplyHow Germany wants to become more independent
Renewable energies, gas reserves, LNG or a delayed coal or nuclear phase-out?

Meanwhile, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that on Tuesday proposals for a rapid decoupling of the EU from Russian energy supplies would be presented. Specifically, according to von der Leyen, it will be about ensuring the supply of reliable suppliers outside Russia. The focus should be on liquefied gas (LNG) and pipeline gas, as the infrastructure required for this could also be used with environmentally friendly hydrogen in the future.
In addition, there should be investments in the expansion of renewable energies such as sun, wind and water as well as in increasing the energy efficiency of buildings and industrial processes.

Energy supply in EuropeThere is a threat of shortage
Concerns about European energy supply are growing in Brussels.

In order to protect households and companies particularly affected by the current increase in energy prices, there could be new support measures.
The Commission's first draft package already circulated last week. In it, the Commission also proposes that EU countries should fill their gas storage facilities to at least 80 percent by October.

USA considers oil embargo

The USA is at least considering an oil embargo. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Sunday on the US channel CNN that the USA and the EU are currently discussing this. There are "very active discussions" on the subject. "We are talking to our European partners and allies to discuss the idea of banning imports of Russian oil in a coordinated manner." It is also about "at the same time ensuring that there are still enough oil stocks on world markets." According to media reports, the USA is also talking to Japan about this.

This has been a strange month so far. It feels like Russia's military operation changed priorities bigtime. A week before the war, the German government was hellbent on legislating mandatory vaccination, following the example of occupied Austria.
It was evident to most people that the nomination of the psycho Lauterbach as Germany's health minister was set up to enable mandatory vaccination. And sure enough, the moment the Scholz government was elected, they did a 180° and were pushing mandatory vaccination like their life depended on it (they ofc had promised- Scholz and Lauterbach included- that it would never even enter their minds).
Now, I am not sure if it was caused by Putin's actions to deal with Nato and their goons, but Corona related things seem to have been dropped like hot coal, and that 100 billion extra money redirected to the military was passed in no time.
And now, not only did the vote for the above 18 mandatory vaccination fail in the parliament, but today, the last resort- the over 60 mandatory vaccination mandate- has also failed. Lauterbach must be seething with rage by now. Seems like they're changing "programs".

You can translate to English if you would like to read the entire article, but this is the main thrust:

Bundestag rejects compulsory vaccination

In Germany, there will be no compulsory vaccination for citizens over the age of 60 for the time being. The bill of politicians of the traffic light parties failed in the Bundestag on Thursday. The Union's project has also failed.

I hope it stays that way. Meanwhile, health minister, Lauterbach must be having a tantrum of gigantic proportions. 😊

The toilet paper shortages and empty shelves saga has started once again, with one store entirely out of loo paper. Of course, these shortages are also related to the sanctions against Russia, but paper shortages began last year. It‘s somehow fitting, because Germany is indeed heading straight down the toilet.

That's good news, although I have to admit that the germans in general seem to show (yet again) their way above normal authoritarian and obedient streaks. While almost all restrictions on Covid are being lifted in germany, a lot of people, companies etc., continue the covid policies "preemptively" on their own, and often more drastically than recommended, "for safety". There are so many corona "heroes" and "experts" in germany. It has become some kind of sport for many people in Germany to be "experts" on "what to do" and "what is going on". Quite often you can hear Germans having "very intelligent" discussions on "what is going on", "the numbers" and "what to do". And often they will say that things should be a lot more restrictive and drastic. It is quite sickening and unbelievable, actually.

Yes, our mass media is now pushing the idea that while in the parliament the majority voted against the mandatory vaccination mandate, the "majority of the population" of Germany is supposedly in favour of it.
Normally, I would be suspicious about these "polls", given the history of voter fraud and so on, but the authoritarian tendency really is striking, so they might not be too far off the mark.

I'm pretty impatient and dissatisfied as well, but then again what data do we have to label Germans as way above authoritarian and obedient?

There is an infogram showing Germany ranking ninth in people fully vaccinated amoung E.U. countries, trailing many countries with a much higher percentage like Portugal, Spain and Italy whose populations are usually not stereotyped as authoritarian but as rather spontaneous, rebellious or disobedient.

Here's one from statista showing vax doses administered per 100 population, Germany ranking 13 in this chart.

Let's not forget that Germany is one of the most mind-controlled countries in the world.

I myself have felt the certain unease while being the only customer in a pharmacy without a mask, or one of the few in a super market.

After two years of psychological terror people will have to be cautiously deprogrammed by watching others without masks leading the way...

Not all the Germans are so obedient. Media outlet Welt says over 100, 000 healthcare workers are not vaxxed, despite it being mandatory for them to be fully vaxxed (3 shots) Good for them! The comments section was also encouraging. One commentator opined that they should be fired on the spot. Another reader asked if he would volunteer to replace them, and another ironically added that they could always hire foreign and unvaccinated workers in their place. Quite a few were cheering them on.

More than 100,000 healthcare workers have not been vaccinated

In the course of the institution-related vaccination obligation, 109,854 employees have so far been reported to the health authorities in Germany who have neither been vaccinated nor recovered or who have doubts about the accuracy of their proof or medical certificate

In Germany, far more than 100,000 health care workers have most likely not been vaccinated against corona. This was the result of a survey by the WORLD ON SUNDAY among all ministries of health. Five countries did not provide any information. The remaining eleven reported a total of 109,854 reports to the health authorities. Since 15. March, the institution-related vaccination obligation applies, which obliges hospitals, old people's and nursing homes as well as medical practices, among other things, to report unvaccinated or recovered employees. In addition, there are those who have doubts about the accuracy of their proof or medical certificate.

The highest number of unvaccinated people is recorded by the two populous federal states of Baden-Württemberg (31,938) and Bavaria (30,726). This is followed by Lower Saxony (12,813), Saxony-Anhalt (8139), Rhineland-Palatinate (7529) and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (6036). Comparatively few unvaccinated people work in Hamburg (3543), Brandenburg (3303), Berlin (2300), Bremen (1851) and Schleswig-Holstein (1676). Due to technical malfunctions in some regions, not all clinics have yet been able to completely cancel their reports, so late registrations are still to be expected.

According to the Federal Statistical Office, 5.65 million people work in the health sector in Germany, around 3.63 million have direct patient contact (as of 2018). The employees affected by the vaccination obligation must by the 30th. September to prove two vaccinations, from the 1st In October, a total of three vaccinations must have been carried out, and the last vaccination must have taken place at least three months after the second vaccination.

Until the responsible health office decided on the respective case and, if necessary, an entry or has declared a ban on activity, it is possible to continue to employ the person concerned. If a complete vaccination is made up later, the ban will be lifted.

Many of them have actually canceled their jobs before the March 15 deadline before being reported to the health office. These people won't show up in the statistics. I have seen a lot of health care workers advertising in the paper.

Small hospitals in rural areas are at pains to substitute unvaccinated personnel that they were forced to let go against their own intent.

Many hospitals were forced to reduce the number of beds in intensive care units because of the unvaccinated personnel they lost thus creating a higher occupancy.

The press then claimed that there were fewer empty beds in ICU's because of the many unvaccinated COVID patients there.

Here is a report by MDR television

"Unvaccinated employees in health and care facilities will not immediately lose their jobs after the facility-based vaccination requirement takes effect in mid-March. 'Controls and decisions are made on a case-by-case basis,' a spokeswoman for the Federal Ministry of Health stressed on Tuesday. With the controls and decisions on activity prohibitions 'naturally also the aspect plays a role whether in a transition period personnel bottlenecks in hospitals, nursing facilities and medical practices can be avoided', clarified the spokeswoman. However, the vaccination obligation will be implemented by the federal states. Estimates say that 10 to 15 percent of the staff is not vaccinated."

Thank you for making that clear. My heart goes out to those people.

Lauterbach means to „get very creative“ in convincing Germans to get the jab with a renewed vaccination campaign to stem the next wave of COVID. I don’t rate his chances of enforcing the vaxx very high. He doesn’t give any details on how he will convince the people and I think likely just hot air and he is desperate to remain relevant:

If Germany/ the world governments are at all concerned about a new wave, why are they telling us to save on heating and just wear a sweater next winter? Not to mention the coming food shortages. It’s extremely creepy how very, very little thinking is going on in so many minds of the people.

Medium-sized companies: Most of the companies against stopping Russian energy imports

Apr 11, 2022 6:15 am

A survey of 1,200 companies by the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Businesses shows that a large proportion are not willing to provide financial support for a possible energy embargo against Russia. Many are already on the edge of their economic breaking point.

The Federal Association of Medium-Sized Businesses sees many companies at their breaking point in view of the high energy prices. That's why many companies are against an embargo on Russian deliveries, according to a survey by the association. When asked whether they were in favor of an immediate end to Russian energy imports at the price of higher procurement costs, 56 percent of the companies answered no to natural gas - in the case of oil 52 percent answered yes.

When asked how much the company would be willing to pay more for the energy supply in the event of an embargo, almost 48 percent of the companies said they did not want to pay a surcharge. Around 32 percent of the companies would be willing to accept a surcharge of up to 30 percent - around 15 percent could imagine a surcharge of 50 percent. According to dpa , 1,200 companies took part in the survey.

Association Managing Director Markus Jerger commented:

"Companies understand the current political situation, but many simply cannot afford to pay even higher energy prices."
The companies need a noticeable relief on the cost side. Rapid implementation of the government's planned measures would be a first step. On the one hand, the government had announced relief. There should also be an aid package for companies suffering from the consequences of the Ukraine war and the EU sanctions against Russia, such as high energy prices.

"Price increases are unavoidable" – German pasta manufacturers are reacting to increased production costs

The Ukraine war and the economic sanctions against Russia have had significant consequences for pasta manufacturers in Germany. Their costs for raw materials, energy and logistics are increasing. Consumers have to adjust to higher prices.

According to the Grain, Milling and Starch Industry Association (VGMS), the war in Ukraine has had a massive impact on pasta manufacturers in Germany. The war had exacerbated the already tense situation caused by the corona pandemic, said Peter Haarbeck, Managing Director of the VGMS, to the dpa .

Energy supply, raw material procurement, packaging and logistics are affected. According to Haarbeck, the companies would have to take the increased costs into account when determining their prices, otherwise they would not be able to continue to exist. He cannot say how high the price increases will be in the end.
A spokeswoman for the Swabian Maultaschen and Spätzle producer "Bürger" emphasized:
"Since we already have to pay higher prices for our high-quality raw materials, a price increase is unavoidable."
Lindner: We shouldn't decide on sanctions that weaken us strategically

Lindner: "We shouldn't decide on sanctions that weaken us strategically"
The company from Ditzingen (Ludwigsburg district) is currently in price negotiations with its trading partners. Raw materials, packaging materials, but also the transport costs increased extremely. According to the spokeswoman, suppliers are currently no longer able to supply "citizens" on the agreed terms.
Mike Hennig, Managing Director of Pasta Riesa, paints a similar picture. The conflict in Ukraine and the associated economic sanctions dramatically dramatized the current situation. The company from Riesa (Meissen district) will have to react to current developments in order to survive the crisis. Managing Director Hennig explains:
"Our customers and consumers must expect higher food prices."
Western elites are exploiting the Ukraine conflict to lower living standards

opinion

Noodles are made from durum wheat semolina, explained VGMS Managing Director Haarbeck. Unlike soft wheat, Germany relies on imports of durum wheat. However, Russia and Ukraine did not play a major role in the global supply of durum wheat. Nevertheless, there are problems with the supply of durum wheat. The harvest in Canada, the most important exporter, fell sharply last year after a very hot and dry summer. The general uncertainty on the raw materials markets and the high demand for grain as a whole have now also caused the price of durum wheat to rise – albeit by far not as much as that of soft wheat.
At the moment, pasta manufacturers can hardly keep up with the demand from the retail trade. Haarbeck stated:
"Like at the beginning of the pandemic, people are buying large quantities of pasta because it can be stored very well."
According to Haarbeck, the supply is guaranteed. However, he warned against buying hamsters: If people buy far more than they need to, it will push the logistics from the manufacturers to the supermarket to the limit of their capacities.

This is absolutely shocking. Ukrainians singing these songs and pro-Russian demonstrations are now illegal. I couldn't post one of the pictures of Russian memes.

Ukrainians sing in front of the Reichstag building about the 'final solution to the Russian question'

The famous Italian partisan song "Bella Ciao" is often corrupted as a party song. Now the "patriotic" Ukrainians also want to use it to mobilize against the Russian "aggressors" and in doing so are blabbering out the fantasies of Ukrainian nationalists: a world in which there are no more Russians.

Women wrapped in the Ukrainian flag sing 'patriotic' songs, including the Ukrainian variant of the world-famous Italian partisan song 'Bella Ciao', at a pro-Ukrainian rally on the lawn in front of the Reichstag building in Berlin April 6.
by Vladislav Sankin
"Bella Ciao" can certainly be called the most famous partisan song. Disguised as a love song , the text with a stirring melody is about the fight of Italian partisans in the mountainous province of Modena against unnamed fascist occupiers in the Second World War. The song thus became a global symbol of anti-fascist resistance.
But the song has too often been corrupted in recent years as a mere party or love song, also in German . Now it's the Ukrainians who are reinterpreting the Italian original. A young girl, probably still of school age, sang the chorus in Ukrainian at a pro-Ukrainian rally in Berlin:

And our people, the Ukrainians,
have the whole world
against the 'Russians'
united.
And soon it will
give no Russians at all,
And then there will be peace
Its all over the world."
According to the rest of the text, as a result of the joint efforts of brave Ukrainian fighters and the West, there are said to be no "Russniaks" (Ukraine's highly derogatory term for Russians), with the West helping with arms supplies, sanctions and volunteer fighters.

Death to all Russians – desecrated Soviet memorial in Berlin

"Death to all Russians" – desecrated Soviet memorial in Berlin

The rally took place in Berlin's government district amid events in the small town of Bucha near Kiev on April 6, when dozens of male bodies were discovered mainly on a single street after Russian troops had withdrawn. The protesters also called for a war tribunal against Vladimir Putin and a complete embargo on Russian energy supplies. At the end of the action, the demonstrators lay on the ground with their eyes closed or their hands behind their backs as if they were handcuffed. A conclusive and independent explanation of the events in Butscha is not to be expected.

Singing the wrong "Bella Ciao" was just one episode of a larger action that would have gone unnoticed if the young lady's performance had not been spotted by Russian Telegram channels two days later. Now it is also actively shared on German social media .

And yes, the performance has it all - in front of, let's say, a very symbolic backdrop, a girl wrapped in the Ukrainian flag sings, calling for representatives of another nation to be simply eliminated for the purpose of world peace. They enthusiastically sing along and applaud approvingly. Didn't we hear something similar about 80 years ago in about the same place?

No, it is probably not meant that way, and if it is, then not all are meant, but only some. I can hear the argument now. And what did the Russians expect after attacking Ukraine? This melody from an anti-fascist context was not chosen at random. Because according to the Ukrainian singer and author of the lyrics, Christina Soloviy, nowadays the Russians have become Nazis, and the Ukrainians are the freedom-loving partisans who are now allowed to adopt the song:

"In the original Ukrainian texts, the word 'Russnjaki' (укр. русня, tr. rusnja) is used instead of 'Russians'. 'Russnjaki' is Ukrainian slang for aggressive, xenophobic Russians influenced by the Kremlin propaganda of Imperial Russian Nazism are."
Soloviy first released her acoustic rendition of "Bella Ciao" on her Instagram account, titled "Ukrainian Rage," on March 6. On March 7, she released the song with a German translation on her YouTube channel. With 2.5 million hits, the song became a hit and is now also available online .

sddefault.jpg

The song teems with death and blood. The Ukrainian rage makes "damn butchers" bathe in their blood while Javeline and Bayraktare kill the "Russian pigs". The song has since been sung countless times by Ukrainians on other channels. Both Instagram and YouTube and other Internet services did not see any violation of the terms of use in the content of the song.

Nothing falsifies the original more than this fixation on murder. The Italian song speaks of the self-sacrificing death of a partisan, the "enemy" is only briefly mentioned, and there is no mention at all of any intention to kill. No blood, no "pigs", no world without Germans. But nobody cares, the song is acclaimed in the comments, a festival of hatred takes place. Now it has also reached Berlin.

How the Tagesschau teaches you to love Nazis
The bloodthirsty is "retouched" by a trick. Anger is sacred because it is based on the Soviet legacy of the memory of the Great Patriotic War: the beginning of the text "One morning at dawn the earth trembled" is reminiscent of the famous Soviet song by singer Klaudia Schulzhenko "Blue Handkerchief", which with the words: "On June 22, at exactly 4 o'clock in the morning, Kyiv was bombed". The author is clearly alluding to the insidious attack by Hitler's Germany on the Soviet Union in June 1941, which left 27 million dead.

The Soviet heritage, which has been completely erased from the Ukrainian public consciousness, may now be reactivated in the Kiev PR strategy as an exception and only in this aspect - against the Russian descendants of the brothers in arms from back when all republics of the Soviet Union fought as one against the invaders. Strange in a country whose cities have for years been adorned with the names of the most notorious Nazi collaborators from the ranks of the Ukrainian nationalists.

The scene , which recently took place in a village presumably in the Donbass region, which is still occupied by the Ukrainians, became a symbol of the Ukraine conflict: an old, fragile lady, probably thinking that Russian soldiers were appearing in her village, greeted the People in military uniform with a red flag of victory. A Ukrainian soldier shouted at her contemptuously: "Glory to Ukraine", took the flag from her and stamped on it. At the same time he offered the old lady a bag of groceries. She refused to help and reprimanded the soldiers:

"This is the flag my parents fought with, and you trample it."
The incident quickly became a meme in Russia:

The old lady paid tribute to the flag that had been hoisted on the Reichstag building by the victorious soldiers of the Red Army. Now the wearing of this flag is already forbidden in some German federal states, while the walls of the Reichstag are once again witnessing an incitement to murder an entire nation.

But not only because of the completely falsified reference to the Great Patriotic War, the cover of the legendary partisan song is deeply abusive. Its authors studiously overlook the fact that the war they condemn did not start one morning in February of this year, but eight years ago, when the nationalist putschists, as a result of a series of false flag attacks, overthrew the democratically elected government in Kyiv and, a few weeks later, troops sent to the regions that were rebelling against it. They also overlook the fact that for all these years their government has been willing to risk a major war with Russia to join NATO.

And against what did the Crimea, the Donbass and other regions in the east of the country rebel, which, however, were violently suppressed by the new rulers? Also, and above all, against calls to murder in the form of numerous fascist, Russophobic and openly racist slogans, which have been part of the public sphere in Ukraine since the beginning of the "pro-European" Maidan revolution in November 2013. Now the slogans of Ukrainian nationalists, who constantly rave about the downfall and destruction of Russia, reached the German capital. The capital of the country whose foreign minister wants to "ruin" Russia with sanctions and arms deliveries to Ukraine. Now comes together what belongs together.

This is absolutely shocking. Ukrainians singing these songs and pro-Russian demonstrations are now illegal. I couldn't post one of the pictures of Russian memes.

For years and years German leftists, Green party followers and their Antifa thugs have been combing this country for nazis and nationalists just to intimidate regular citizens to have them accept globalism and the degradation of their nation.

Now we have some real fierce nationalists in town glorifying their nation and being exalted by the media.

I have yet to hear the usual outcry of the leftists concerning the worldview of those refugees. With all of this current yellow and blue flag-waving many Germans might wonder why they are being called 'Nazis' by the left when they're flying their own flag.

Contrary to the left Germany's nationalists and/or patriots are probably not very impressed by this outpouring of Ukrainianism because they are known to admire President Putin.

Meanwhile, while the Germans are praising Uki-Nazis:

Four suspected right-wing extremists have been arrested after police conducted early morning raids. Banned neo-Nazi groups were the focus of the operation.

Almost 800 police officers in 11 of Germany's 16 federal states took part in raids on far-right extremist groups on Wednesday, German media reported.

What to say, you can’t make this stuff up !!!!
