Anton Bruckner's Os Justi

Os justi meditabitur sapientiam:
et lingua ejus loquetur judicium.
Lex Dei ejus in corde ipsius:
et non supplantabuntur gressus ejus.
Alleluia.
Inveni David servum meum,
oleo sancto meo unxi eum.
Alleluia.
The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom,
and his tongue speaks what is just.
The law of his God is in his heart:
and his feet do not falter.
Alleluia.[8]
I have found David, my servant;
I have anointed him with my holy oil.
Alleluia.[9]

Infra-Red lyrics:
One last thing before I shuffle off the planet
I will be the one to make you crawl
So I came down to wish you an unhappy birthday

Someone call the ambulance, there's gonna be an accident
I'm coming up on infra-red
There is no running that can hide you
'Cause I can see in the dark
I'm coming up on infra-red
Forget your running, I will find you

One more thing before we start the final face off
I will be the one to watch you fall
So I came down to crash and burn your beggar's banquet

Someone call the ambulance,
there's gonna be an accident
I'm coming up on infra-red
There is no running that can hide you
'Cause I can see in the dark
I'm coming up on infra-red
Forget your running, I will find you (And the dark is running after you, I swear it, the dark is running after you. The dark is after you...)

Someone call the ambulance, there's gonna be an accident
I'm coming up on infra-red
There is no running that can hide you
'Cause I can see in the dark
I'm coming up on infra-red
Forget your running, I will find you
'Cause I can see in the dark
I'm coming up on infra-red
There is no running that can hide you
'Cause I can see in the dark
I'm coming up on infra-red
Forget your running,
I will find you I'll find you, I'll find you

Jethro Tull - Birthday Card at Christmas
(from the Jethro Tull Christmas Album)

Got a birthday card at Christmas... it made me think of Jesus Christ.
It said, "I love you" in small letters. I simply had to read it twice.
Wood smoke curled from blackened chimneys. The smell of frost was in the air.
Pole star hovered in the blackness. I looked again... it wasn't there.

People have showered me with presents. While their minds were fixed on other things.
Sleigh bells, bearded red suit uncles. Pointy trees and angel wings.
I am the shadow in your Christmas. I am the corner of your smile.
Perfunctory in celebration. You offer content but no style.

That little baby Jesus... he got a birthday card or three.
Gold trinkets and cheap frankincense. Some penny baubles for his tree.
Have some time off for good behaviour. Forty days, give or take a few.
Hey there, sweet baby Jesus... Let's share a birthday card with you.

Was wondering if I’d had a bit of an epiphany yesterday and then the timing, action and chosen ‘name’ of a fellow FOTCM member struck as rather elegant. Hope they stumble across this, not for all but I love it and took it as a positive ‘sign’ 🤗🖤

After dinner's been eaten and I'm in the kitchen doing the washing up... I like to listen to some music.
I'm getting a bit old to being go out to nightclubs now :-D, so I've brought the dancefloor to the kitchen!
The lyrics for this are pretty good too, very easy to sing a long to and if it's loud it drowns out any bum notes you might hit! :-[
The batch of crystals arrived for my wife and children and I stumbled back across the song about the same time.
Finger clicking, shoulder shrugging, hip swaying all the way!

[Intro: Isley Jasper Isley]
Ooh, ooh ooh
Ooh, ooh ooh

[Verse 1: Chris Jasper & (Isley Jasper Isley)]
Are you ready for the time of your life
It's time to stand up and fight
(It's alright) It's alright (It's alright, it's alright)
Hand in hand we'll take a caravan
To the motherland
One by one we're gonna stand with the pride
One that can't be denied
(Stand up, stand up, stand up)
From the highest mountain, and valley low
We'll join together with hearts of gold

[Pre-Chorus: Chris Jasper]
Now the children of the world can see
There's a better way for us to be
The place where mankind was born is so neglected and torn
Torn apart

[Chorus: Chris Jasper & (Isley Jasper Isley)]
Every woman, every man
Join the caravan of love
(Stand up, stand up, stand up)
Everybody take a stand
Join the caravan of love

[Post-Chorus: Chris Jasper]
I'm your brother
I'm your brother, don't you know
I'm your brother
I'm your brother, don't you know

[Verse 2: Chris Jasper]
We'll be living in a world of peace
In a day when everyone is free
We'll bring the young and the old
Won't you let your love flow from your heart

[Chorus: Chris Jasper & (Isley Jasper Isley)]
Every woman, every man
Join the caravan of love
(Stand up, stand up, stand up)
Everybody take a stand
Join the caravan of love

[Post-Chorus: Chris Jasper]
I'm your brother
I'm your brother, don't you know
I'm your brother
I'm your brother, don't you know

[Verse 3: Chris Jasper]
Now the children of the world can see
There's a better way for us to be
The place where mankind was born
Is so neglected and torn
Torn apart

[Chorus: Chris Jasper & (Isley Jasper Isley)]
Every woman, every man
Join the caravan of love
(Stand up, stand up, stand up)
Everybody take a stand
Join the caravan of love

[Bridge: Chris Jasper & (Isley Jasper Isley)]
Are you ready for the time of your life?
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)
Are you ready for the time of your life?
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)
Come go with me
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)
Come go with me
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)

[Chorus: Chris Jasper & (Isley Jasper Isley)]
Every woman, every man
Join the caravan of love
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)
Everybody take a stand
Join the caravan of love
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)
Every woman, every man
Join the caravan of love
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)
Everybody take a stand
Join the caravan of love
(Are you ready? Are you ready?)

If there is a holiday that my family enjoys the most, it would have to be Christmas, even if it has waned considerably over the years. Out of all of the things that have fallen away, there are still a few Christmas albums (yeah. vinyl.) that I still listen to. I don't really care much for the "Pop" Christmas songs preferring the more traditional orchestral and choir offerings. That being said, I do like some James Last and Ray Conniff. That's about as Pop as I get. There is one song that puts me in a good mood every time I hear it. From the 1977 album (our version is from 1972) Die Schönsten Weihnachtslieder by Fischer-Chöre, "Morgen, Kinder, wird's was geben". It's possibly my favourite Christmas song.
