I do not agree with some here. If Trump has a military card in hand sure it's better that he uses it. Some here seems not to understand that in this case this would be for a defense purpose, to protect 80M+ US citizen who voted for someone who should have been elected since the 7th November.
I gave my opinion on this but more important, it's based on something remaining POSSIBLE. Thus, of course then that i'm still hoping that he'll do something and reverse the situation. I finally don't care if some would say that i'm wishfull thinking, because i would answer "and you, are you fearful thinking ?"
It's rather a test for our patiente and our faith here, and until we do not have/see a definitive move going in one direction or in another, we just express, on one side, our fears, and be pessimistic, and on the other side, our hopes, and remain optimistic.

The disapproval I expressed was not aimed at evidence backed discussion, but wishful thinking exhibited many on this thread. I didn’t see any of the reports you’re referring to. Could you provide some links, please? This thread is getting a bit unwieldy.

Lt. General Thomas McInerney, spoke informally at the White House yesterday. He says special forces embedded in the crowd got Nancy Pelosi's laptop during the breach of the Capitol on Wednesday. He says this is why she's frantically pushing to impeach Trump. He also says that recently-publicized affidavit by that Italian IT guy is definitive evidence of foreign interference in the election.

If this is true - It looks worse than communism times in Poland. Mostly people (if they were doing so) snitched only their neighbours.. not family. Additionally, censorship was also present. People stopped critically thinking.
Looks like programing is complete.

Yes, the rank and file are sure to follow him, but let me ask, do you live in the United States? We are a very large a spread out country, sometimes hundreds of miles between cities with literally nothing in between. Texas alone is bigger than most countries around the world. So is California, and so is Alaska, which is cut off from land from us by Canada. What are the logistics of enacting such a thing and being able to realistically protect anyone? That is why states have their own police force, peace corps, etc, that are very much separate from the army. The army cannot do it all, so it relies back on the states to protect themselves in such a situation.
No, I'd say I'm engaged in critical thinking. Fully aware of the facts on the ground and what it entails as far as the reality of the situation. Do I have any or all of the answers? Absolutely not. But I'm not fooling myself that military action would be the best thing. Nor am I laying down and conceding defeat, or whatever. I'm pretty emotionally detached from all of this, as one will need to be to provide any help to people whatsoever.

I listened to the press interview of the Tennessee speaker in the above link. They sent 4 state employees on leave because federal government mentioned that they are in investigation. Is Federal government saying that they are in investigation is good enough to put them out of work without any details? If the State Govt. can do this without asking questions, what about the businesses in these states? Private companies doesn't bother to answer as they are feared so much of Govt. by default. They will fire first and hire somebody else, end of the story.

We are in deep doo doo.

My "problem" is that you accused those of us asking for critical analysis of engaging in censorship, which is far from what is being asked.
Anyone who is using their brain can determine potential outcomes, and the point is that we are a network who is supposed to be analysing information, and it's not happening at the level some have come to expect from this forum. That this would be framed as "censure" as you said is worth pointing out.

It's funny because it was the first think I asked in response to a Revolutionar's previous post, but finally shorten my answer. But posted it already:

In regard to US country, you seems to misunderstood what I meant : by protecting his citizen, it's more in regard to incoming totalitarism if he does nothing. I see this more globally : if Trump uses the army it's to protect the country on a whole scale.
Who is fooling himself saying that military action would be the best thing ? By applying also critical thinking as you do, it seems obvious that when someone is in front of you and want to kill you and that you have no other option than fighting for your life, if then someone comes to you and tell you that violence is not the good option, what do you answer him ? Still a few days before we could figure out other possible scenario, but it seems that, criticaly thinking, the number of options are shortening, and as bad as it can be to use the military card, what else could be done (and still supposing he has this card in hand)
Simple question : what would be for you the BEST scenario, knonwing the actual situation at this moment ?
