2024 US election: A Kennedy presidency? Trump again? Will it be rigged?

Trump seems like a person that thinks for himself and Jared is truly a jerk. I didn't follow what he said or did during the Trump administration but it wasn't appreciated by many for his viewpoints like you mention and he was seen as a bad influence. There was always that question about him, what was his influence on Trump? Maybe he's not "playing" his daughter but more like his daughter married this guy and Trump had to adapt to keep the peace and appease his daughter who he seems quite close to, something that happens in families. Only speculation of course.

Trump isn't in the position to do anything about whats happening now with Israel. This destruction of Palestine wasn't happening when he was in office and he made the effort to bring peace and cooperation between these feuding countries with the Abraham Accords which worked for a time. How does a person handle powerful, dangerous and well connected people? Being very sly I'd think. I just don't see Trump as being this evil dummy. Perhaps his strategy is "you draw more flies with honey" as that saying goes.
I agree that Trump thinks for himself. Regarding Jared’s activities during the Trump administration, he was put in charge of Middle Eastern affairs, and evidently had a hand in bringing about the Abraham Accord. Other than that, much like Harris’ Border Czar assignment, it was not much reported upon.

My opinion (not even worth 2 cents ) of Trump has evolved much like many of you here. It has seemed that being a canidate for president or actually being president and all that entails has shown that he is in many ways, way over his head. Trump has not only underestimated the swamps power but their main objectives as well. While at the same time he has also over estimated his abilities of navigating the corrupt system, selecting the right people to surround himself with and then learning from the past mistakes, all possibly stemming from the narcessistic side of his personality.

Having gone through a near death experience as he did in Butler may have brought home to him just how dangerous of a position he is in. His first reaction was fight but as time has passed he may have had some time to reflect that the game he is in could result in his death even at a later date. It may also muddy the waters even more when it comes to his decision making abilities as self preservation kicks in. But I must give him props for sticking with the campaign despite the numerous charges brought against him to disqualify him from the presidency and the near miss at Butler.

I thought Trump had promised to stop ILLEGAL immigration, not legal immigration.
With so many people already in this country out of work these days, I believe he needs to prioritize giving actual citizens the jobs he's talking about first before letting even MORE immigrants in IMHO. And do we really need more people for AI jobs?? Immigration - whether legal or not - is the main issue he is promising to resolve, and now he's saying we need more of it? That sound bite isn't going to sit well with his base no matter how anyone spins it.

There is an elephant in the room; much of the citizenry don’t want to work or are too sick or tired to work after Covid vaccines.

Well, let's answer your elephant with a few others. Why does Trump continue to push those deadly vaccines as the greatest thing ever? Why will he not acknowledge the death and destruction that they did, and his own part in pushing them forward? Now he's coming out and saying he's OK with "certain" immigrants coming in and taking jobs of citizens without putting forward a path to help his own people recover their devastated lives and livelihoods, after campaigning hard against all immigration before this? In a similar vein, he seems OK with the replacement of Palestinians in Gaza (even if he's only lukewarm about it).

Anyone looking objectively at those facts I just presented could make a case that Trump himself may actually be a facilitator of the "Great Replacement" now underway.

Now I need to ask a question: how many people will read what I just wrote and get angry? I have personally seen people in my own family get very angry when I mention some of Pedo Joe's foibles even when they are demonstrably true. They will go out of their way to defend him and always give Biden the benefit of the doubt no matter what, and I have to change the subject fast or suffer the fate of Socrates.

(As an aside, I believe the 2016 election was deliberately designed to pit two universally despised figures against each other so as to cause people to divorce logic from reason when "choosing a side" so as to seed the division we see today.)

I'm now seeing the same thing with people who follow Trump, especially in the wake of the attempt on his life. How can anyone say anything bad about a guy who just got shot at? And I know on this forum the C's are on record as saying he's a good guy. Maybe he really is. I'm just not personally going to give him a pass when I can see objectively that several of his positions are wrong (Gaza and vaccines) or inconsistent (immigration).

Maybe we do need to let some legal ones in for certain skilled positions, but before that sound bite he was casting a blanket on ALL immigrants, building the wall etc. NOW he's pulling back some, right when it could damage him the most in the wake of the FAKE polls showing Harris pulling ahead (and my family believes them)?

I'm really wondering if Trump is a Trojan Horse meant to kill any independent political movement in this country. Donald Jeffries has written a lot about this, and he raises the same point I do about Trump's reversal on immigration in this article:

We really need to look at Trump objectively IMHO, because the way things are shaping up in the MSM it's looking like Trump is suddenly "tanking" while the Dems build up to another steal. He needs to stand firm on what he SAYS he truly values. As it is he's losing the momentum he had after being shot. Reading the MSM you'd almost think it never happened.

All this matters because the way things are shaping up it's looking like we are heading for a civil war if they shoehorn Kamala (or Hillary or Michelle) into the presidency. That can only happen if the Don self-destructs (or gets killed). I guess we will see how the winds blow with the DNC in Chicago this week. I expect some major chicanery in the wake of it. I'm almost sad that I hate popcorn...

They also said he was a "perfectly good puppet" and "gave in to the deep state". IMO, Trump's 'service' to humanity has been to just 'be himself' which is a hard-headed person who doesn't back down in the face of threats and intimidation. That doesn't mean he's a 'good guy', what it does mean, and this is what has played out, is that his defiant nature has caused the real power in the USA (the deep state) to reveal itself as it went about the process of trying to take him down over the past 8 years.

"We need more people. Especially with AI coming?" I don't understand that statement. How does AI create more jobs?

An insurance office employs 5 people. AI comes along and take out 3 mundane phone calling and data input positions. 3 people are now out of work and looking for employment. Wouldn't AI make more people unemployed and looking for work? How does AI create jobs for unskilled labor? What am I missing?

(IMO) in part , the large immigrant population is about , dis-empowering the locals, ( not specifically in economic terms ), like dissolving political influence and whatever social cohesion has been left in the us , arguably not much at this point though.

And he's certainly exposed all the bad actors over the years. He's made them come out of the woodwork and act in the open, and quite a nice chunk of humanity can see the truth now. Probably no one else in this country could have done what he has in that regard, as well placed financially and politically as he is. I just wonder if he's being used as the ultimate fulcrum to finally take down the "resistance" movement, and what his complicity in that is (if any). Given those past associations of his it'd be foolish not to consider all angles from my perspective, especially given the potential consequences of this upcoming election.

I'm not intentionally trying to be a bearer of bad news here. There is a distinct very recent history of conservative movements being railroaded into oblivion by government actors (e.g. Ross Perot; the militia movement; Ron Paul; Tea Party; "Patriot Front"; Occupy movement etc.). For good or bad, Trump has managed to coalesce all those who share conservative values into one very large group. By removing Trump from the equation the government could once again marginalize and demoralize all of them (or, start a civil war...).

Now consider a worst-case scenario: it would be quite spectacular if he somehow managed to do it by his own hand, wouldn't it? He could do that via several paths currently, such as by going back on his promises re: immigration; by blessing the further slaughter of Palestinians; by having the government frame him for his own shooting to "enhance his reputation"...I mean, it's all on the table. There are MSM jagoffs and even some alt-media people wagging their mouths about how Trump faked that shooting right now. How big a hit would it be to the conservative movement if he somehow debased himself/was debased in any or all of those ways? You know those in power will attempt that given the opportunity.

At the same time, he HAS managed to galvanize most of his followers to not give up the fight this time because the stakes are too high. I just pray that they remember that what binds them isn't one man, but shared common human decency and values; that those are what are worth fighting for and can't ever be lost; and that fight starts within the individual. And even if Trump does win, he's not going to be the one to "save us". That's our job.
