Just thinking out loud, there's been bombs and explosions in Paris, then Ankara and now Brussels - all Capital cities.

Who's next in line - London or Washington?

London, in the run-up to the 'Brexit' referendum?

They clearly want to cook one or the other result from that (no Brexit, I think), so an attack there and then would give an Anglo-American-dominated EU 'a bit of a boost'.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has learned with shock of this morning’s terrorist attack at a Brussels airport. The Prime Minister feels with victims’ relatives and wishes a fast recovery to the wounded.

The Hungarian premier has also requested immediate and continuous briefing on the situation from the leaders of the competent foreign, police and counter-terror services, with decisions on possibly necessary measures being made based on the information they provide.

Following the Brussels terror attack, counter-terror police were immediately deployed to Budapest’s Liszt Ferenc International Airport and subway stations across the capital (Deák tér metro station is featured on index.hu’s photo)

As others have pointed out, it's so frustrating that the PTB can just keep going on with this, and the majority of people react just the way they were manipulated to react. Seeing this over and over, and also among Sott readers, it's mind-boggling and infuriating. Their brains seem to be all jelly to not see the obvious, it's insane!

A sophisticated multi-site operation that somehow evaded all digital and physical security of a city that is effectively Europe's Washington, DC, and which has been under a state of high alert since the Paris attacks last November, including the apparently now permanent presence of military patrols on the streets... chose two targets that are right next to what should surely have been more enticing targets for jihadists bent on avenging their fellow martyrs' deaths.

Take a look at the attached map of Brussels.

Note that the airport is a couple of kms from NATO HQ. The jihadists apparently weren't interested...

I have pretty much gone through the range of emotional responses today. Not just to the terror attack itself, but mainly to people's responses. Just seeing how Europe is now being bombed, after the population of Europe supported the vast-scale bombing of Muslims in the Middle East, and now they all hate Muslims for it. And all the while it's the same small group of psychos bombing both sides. And to dare to suggest this is to be a conspiracy theorist and be ousted from the herd.

Just makes you wish they'd hurry up and finish the job, let the cosmos wipe us out and start again from a clean slate. I'm so sick of this world.

Well, it's difficult for us to emotionally disengage from the whole thing, as we are smack in the middle of it. I mean it literally: we are actually physically located right between the two places of impact. We cannot really go anywhere as most of the roads and tunnels in our area are closed. Maelbeek is a metro station I go through regularly, too. I received calls and texts from friends and family all day long to ask if we were ok. My kid was in lockdown all day long at school, wondering what was going on. We try not to fall for it, we know what's behind it. But still, it feels pretty real, unfortunately. :(

BTW, they were priming the population a little over a week ago. They (I think it was Jambon) were saying that an attack 'either in France or Belgium' was probably imminent. From the horse's mouth, I guess.

Glad you and your family are safe I hope you are stocked up for a few days if in case yall will be under lock down for long.

DENVER (AP) — Police have evacuated a portion of the Denver airport's main terminal because of a possible security threat.

The area is on the top two levels of the west side of the terminal, which includes baggage claim and passenger pickup.

Denver International Airport says the evacuation also includes the ticket counters for American, Aero Mexico, Air Canada, Lufthansa and British Airways and flight delays are possible.

Amsterdam's central train station was reportedly sealed off after shots were fired earlier today.

Cops fired a warning as at least one suspect was arrested at the transport hub.

The incident, which appeared to be drug-related, took place as police at airports and train stations around the Netherlands were on a high alert following bomb attacks in Brussels earlier in the day.

Police cars had hemmed in the suspects' speeding vehicle on a major thoroughfare near the station after a pursuit and one suspect was immediately arrested.

Two others initially ran off but they were arrested after police closed in on them and fired the warning shot.

A police spokeswoman declined to provide further details.

Islamic State militants have claimed responsibility for the terror attacks in Brussels today.

The terrorist organisation made the claims through the Amaq News Agency, which is close to the group.

At least 34 people have been killed and 170 injured after suicide bombers detonated explosives in Brussels Airport and at a Metro station during the morning rush hour.

A statement on AMAQ's website read: "Islamic fighters carried out a series of bombings with explosive belts and devices on Tuesday, targeting an airport and a central metro station in the center of the Belgian capital Brussels, a country participating in the international coalition against the Islamic State.
