Watch them loose their mind, and call Nicaragua a threat... much like Ukraine was for Russia.. and the irony will be lost on everyone or at least the great majority I sadly daresay.

It is interesting that Argentina also becomes a BRICS member
Yeah, specially interesting with the way elections are currently shaping up in Argentina, the most popular candidate, Milei doesn't strike me as one who would oppose the West at all, and he is recruiting former president Macri, which is the one that brought back the IMF, if I am not mistaken. It is interesting that Argentina also becomes a BRICS member as the president of Argentina just 3-4 days ago, said that Argentina would not join BRICS and thus didn't want to travel to South Africa. Perhaps this was just part of the bargaining or perhaps Brasil helped to change things in favour of joining BRICS. As a member of BRICS, Argentina can now apply for loans from the New Development Bank (NDB) of BRICS. It could become a most useful way of getting out of IMF loans ($45 billion currently).
I found it really interesting that Saudi Arabia made it, along with Iran, a new pole has been created I would say, the Middle East pole, energy suppliers to giants such as China and India. The petrodollar will loose more importance, and Europe.. poor Europe man.
I find more interesting also that Venezuela didn't make it, it has the biggest oil reserve in the world. However, the BRICS stated that the inclusion of countries will come in phases. So, I guess, lest wait for the next round.
Brazil's Finance Minister, Fernando Haddad, commented that this operation would guarantee that Brazilian exporters would receive payment for the sales of their goods, in addition to increasing confidence in Argentine companies.
The Minister of Economy of Argentina and presidential candidate of Unión por la Patria, Sergio Massa, will travel this Sunday to Brazil to meet on Monday with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and his counterpart Fernando Haddad, with the aim of advancing in an agreement that will allow Argentina to pay imports in yuan, local media report.
On the sidelines of the XV BRICS Summit, held this week in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Brazilian government proposed to Argentina a plan to use the yuan to pay for exports of Brazilian products in view of the shortage of dollars derived from the serious economic crisis that its neighboring country is going through.
"We sent the Argentine government a proposal for a guarantee in yuan for Brazilian exports. For Brazilian exporters it is a good thing, it will be good news if Argentina accepts", declared Fernando Haddad in a press conference.
He also commented that this operation would guarantee that Brazilian exporters would receive payments for the sales of their goods, in addition to increasing confidence towards Argentine companies. "Brazilian exporters can have some flow of sales in their products with a 100% guarantee", said the minister.
According to the senior official, products imported by Argentina would be paid in yuan and subsequently a branch of the Bank of Brazil in London (UK) would convert the Chinese currency into reais.
The mechanism has the approval of the National Treasury Secretariat and the Bank of Brazil, Haddad assured. "For Brazil, there is no problem, because the exchange rate will be made with the yuan per real, and this also assures the National Treasury that there is no risk of default. A guarantee that the Treasury considered adequate and that the Bank of Brazil accepted as presented," he said.
Currently, trade between Argentina and Brazil is carried out in US dollars. Last January, the Brazilian president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, discussed with his Argentinean counterpart, Alberto Fernández, the need to create a common currency in the South American region, in order to stop depending on the dollar.
