With Epoch Times and Jennifer Zeng there may be things to learn too. It was by following a link in the thread to the Twitter of Jennifer Tang, I got into deciphering Chinese and reached the latest statistics in Chinese from official news sources, and I also discovered the hashtags #COVID2019 #Coronavirus and #CoronavirusOutbreak that led to other Tweets from other people.Yeah, and he includes 5 'video reports' from 'Jennifer Zeng' in just that one update about the outbreak. She's the NYC-based Falun Gong anti-China activist I mentioned here.
One aspect of this case is that it is a massive demonstration of population control, they put whole cities with millions of people, more than that of many countries, in lockdown. These measures or exercises have military and administrative implications that might well become a subject of intense studies and analysis in certain organisations, academies and institutes across the globe, because if not for the reason of an outbreak of a flu or contagious type of pneumonia, a lockdown may also be tried elsewhere at some stage.
Below, I have taken some screen shots from a few tweets and added comments to explain what could be their significance in relation to the whole situation and connecting to the idea of this happening in another country.
The following could be fake, but could it also be authentic?
One comment is that I met a nurse the other day, not in China., who with a slight feeling of shame admitted that although it was was not nice, she had taken one step extra aside when she had visited a public institution a few days earlier and passed by a couple of Chinese, because one wouldn't like to catch this disease in case they were affected. In other words one can blame the guard, but the above reaction is not unrealistic and would not be restricted to China only.
The next shows disinfection efforts, a dose of "round up". Such measure are pretty unthinkable in the West. They would first have to environmental impact study, then they would have to order the disinfectant.
The next is incredible, imagine this happening anywhere else: In case the clip goes down it shows a man entering an area, first the temperature is taken, then the old mask is disposed of, then hand disinfectant is applied, then a new mask is put on, then the person signs, then a tag gets attached to his jacket and finally one more hand disinfection.
One comment says:
I'm not sure she is right. If the jel is full of alcohol, then sticking fingers in it should not matter, and the scanner is not in contact with the mask, or the person, but I have no qualification to tell for sure. If she is overreacting,
There is also one scary Tweet showing a few Chinese people who intentionally try to spread their own disease. This is a shocking clip, but apparently such people exist and one needs to be aware. I have heard about such before.
But is that more immoral than when the professionals blunder?
The next one just shows somd ducks being let loose, while he speaks. It could be fake, but if millions of people are in lockdown, and do not shop much and do not go to work, if the trucks that transport both ducks and their food are not driving, or the drivers are in quarantine, or the food for the ducks is finished, or if the grown up ducks are not taken to the butchers, or if some of the workers on the farm also are not showing up, then what to do? There are farms with tens of thousands of chickens, or thousand and thousands of pigs, or hundreds and hundreds of cows. If there was a major lockdown these farms would suffer, the economy of the farmers would suffer as would the food production, once the lockdown is over. A few days ago, there was another duck farm where many ducks had already starved to death. This is not funny, and it could happen anywhere, and not necessarily because of an epidemic.
The farmer is probably doing the right thing, but one has to hope they can't fly, as they are of an "artificial" breed.
Ducks let loose or ducks starved to death, either way they are missing in the shops, if the next Tweet is believable::
Again the next is from Jennifer Zeng, and now there are a few options, fake, or not fake, and if not fake then it can be interpreted as propaganda, as she does, or as an administrative policy to ensure the effectiveness of the quarantine measures which is the one I prefer. In the speakers the young people are shouting:
One grain og rice in the basket,
Stay outside of the market,
An onion on the table,
Sit home and be stable.
Two drops of oil in the jar,
Be at exactly where you are.
If you have stored food of any category,
Home is your only territory
Gaining weight is a blessing
Don't be a part of the outside mess
Be together
Love yourselves
I stay home,
Loud and Proud
I am saving masks for my fellow countrymates!
Imagine this happening anywhere else? Below is a scene from the clip.
The above has not happened in Europe in recent times. But a similar situation occured, would there be any degree of order after 10 days? Again this may have been a fake performance, staged in Taiwan or Chinatown, if Jennifer Zeng and Epoch Times have an ax to grind, but I don't think it is unrealistic.
If the previous poem was even somewhat realistic then people stay at home, and there is little to eat. In the beginning they were singing "Wuhan you can do it", with a bit of harmony in the voices, and now?
Not being certain of what is happening and how to interpret it some people apparently make "irrational moves".
Some of the above steps are uniquely Chinese, like the alleged people shouting a poem, or the spraying of people and their office with disinfectant, but most could happen anywhere, like the disruption of the normal flow of the food supply and people loosing emotional stability. And this could happen no matter what the reason was for imposing a lockdown. In many countries, one could suspect that "irrational moves" might set in much earlier, as many Chinese probably have at the very least heard stories of hardship from friends and family of a kind that many people in North America and Western Europe would be unfamiliar with.
