Coronavirus Pandemic: Apocalypse Now! Or exaggerated scare story?

We have new stars: the doctors and nurses. And the police. No more movies but every day people from their windows clap to these new artists, in a really scary movie in front of their eyes, at the other side of the window... I can see positive changes but where is my freedom? I am a prisoner and as a prisoner I try to be happy in my cell. Other cells are worst then mine, that's for sure. I am grateful of what I have in my cell, I can still be happy and energetic. But the future is not very beautiful. Not for me not for humanity.

Evidently many positive things are coming from this covid. But wait.

If this person was emotionally invested in what he was doing you would hear it in his voice. I feel he was planted there, by whoever, to taunt the protesters and get reactions out of them to disrupt the protest. The people responded, for the most part, in a civil manner to the man. Go humanity!

After watching Zeitgeist on YouTube, this line of thought definitely has traction. Watching that, a person tends to understand a bit better why things are the way they are currently. It would be a 2 hour break from where we are in order to see where we need to get, that would be valuable time spent.

I highly recommend you watch it, if you haven't yet.

Im still behind in the thread but I want to say that yerterday I wached Zeitgeist Adendum, which explain many things about the economy and how many things that the CIA have done in Equator, Venezuela, Irak and other countries how they did it and why, it was incredible to see how far they can go... that video is from 10 years ago, so what is happening today make a lot of sense in terms of the economy.

If this person was emotionally invested in what he was doing you would hear it in his voice. I feel he was planted there, by whoever, to taunt the protesters and get reactions out of them to disrupt the protest. The people responded, for the most part, in a civil manner to the man. Go humanity!

It's possible that he was a plant, but I think it's more likely that one way or another he got worked up to go and "do something" about "those evil people trying to protest about losing their rights when people are dying".

Never mind that by going out amidst the protesters he was putting just as many people "at risk" as they were, and by giving the bird to random strangers and swearing at kids he did more to hurt his cause than help it.

I would say that he should be ashamed of himself, but I don't know that he can feel such lowly emotions as remorse from that high horse he was sitting on.

A truly pathetic worm if I've ever seen one.

It was something I wanted to address too. In France, the government said to us 1 meter, in other countries it goes to 2 m. Anyway, since the beginning, in France I noticed some "inflation" with some people: someone in a queue saying to an elder to stay away by at least 3 meters! And note that when I've been controlled by police, when they talked to us, I instinctively came closer and the policewoman said STOP even if we were at maybe something like 5 meters ! And like Ant22 noticed, all of this disappear in the supermarket when you want to pick up this or that item

They are ramping up the propaganda. We must all get vaccines.

This makes no sense at all. The logical conclusion from the WHO statement that having had the disease doesn't grant immunity, is that a vaccine will not work. After all, if being infected isn't granting immunity, then how on gods earth is a vaccine supposed to make a difference, as it also will not grant immunity.

Clearly the mind virus does turn peoples brains and thinking capacity to mush.

Don't overlook the capacity of these people to use a crisis to upgrade their equipment and get bigger, better, faster, shinier toys. This is an IT guys wet dream. He/she can ask for the biggest , best most expensive upgrade and probably get them. Any excuse to upgrade the equipment.

Still 20 pages behind, though i've wanted add quickly the following:

Funny, I thought about this recently: "the programming is complete" may simply mean that people's brains have been turned into mush! And how do you do that? By making them believe ever more outrageous lies. This seems to be the chief brain-mushing technique. I mean there was 9/11, which was an obvious lie. But people can somewhat be excused for believing it because you need to study the issue to make the lie transparent. Then there was climate change, which is even more ridiculous than the 9/11 story, even on the surface (drive less, then climate change won't kill the planet), but still - it's a scientific issue that needs some looking into. Then came the whole postmodern/transgender stuff - there is no difference between men and women, kids should be sex-changed etc. Which is such an outrageous and horrific lie that doesn't need any study whatsoever. If you believe that, all thinking capability is just gone. And now a global fascist lockdown because of a ridiculously low number of deaths, even if you believe the official numbers, and even in the "hot spots"...

Totally agree Luc, i'd dare to say that this brainwashing program has been running for the last 120 years, in stages, the psychopaths in power corrupting every branch of the society and science. They taught people little by little how to be obedient and little good puppies. After 9/11 it got worse by each passing year to the point that now people aren't able to grasp anymore what a FACT means. The majority just follow blindly the dictates of those in power which are feckless pathological types (not all of them of course). Not considering the fact that out there there are approximately 30% -50% of authoritarian followers that will follow almost blindly the strong leader.

Still there may be hope, by keeping to send the signal of the truth ot there some may start to open their eyes especially when will reach the point of facing financial problems, when won't have no money to buy food or pay the bills by the courtesy of their loving leaders.

On a similar note, would like to add that yesterday i saw a video of an italian deputy woman holding a speech in the parliament where she denounced all the lies, fearmongering and the extreme lock down measures taken by the government when none of this was necessary, pointing out the obvious, that is, the consequences for the economy will be dangerous and catastrophic, this being only one aspect of this whole mess. The interesting part was hearing in background while she held the speech other MPs yelling and shouting at her, those feckless beings by doing so just showed what their true colors are. According to the comments on fb and youtube many italians agree with her points so that was a surprise to me. There is still hope.

Some mornings, when I'm top cleaning in the apartment, I turn on a local radio channel called "Talk Radio" I don't have a TV. There is one show from 10 AM to Noon that excepts "call-ins" and the topics vary. Yesterday morning (Friday), The first caller, a man in his early 50's began the show by expressing that this pandemic and the restrictions that followed have shut down the Construction firm he was working for and his Wife worked for a Catering business, Both have been collecting Unemployment for over two months, a fraction of what they would be bringing home if still working. Their biggest fear was losing their home - with just seven more years before it was paid off. His main complaint was that no one in Government was providing information on when the restrictions would be lifted and what happens then? He began naming local business's that have shut down and then placed an "out of Business" sign on their doors. The economy was bad before - he could see no decent recovery. Many of the calls that followed were much of the same, afraid of permanently losing their employment and fear of not being able to afford decent housing.

Over an hour into the show, an older woman called in to complain on the restrictions and how they interfered with the traditional Easter Holiday and family gatherings. The next caller remarked that this virus gave the Government's around the World, the perfect excuse to take away our basic freedoms and close down religion - all religion's! The phone lines - lit up. The radio station promised that the other callers could call in today. The two hour segment was a mixed bag of complaints but what really stood out - people were mad, frustrated, upset and down right furious because of the restrictions, in general and because they have been extended, with no end in sight. One guy remarked, "We have all these gadgets for communication, yet we have to practice "social distancing? Does it make sense?"
