Where he talks about 90% of humanity not being one of "them," I would mention the fact that yeah, he's telling the truth there because that happens to be close to the number of people who are NOT psychopaths on this planet, that the figure estimates that 6 to 10 % are pathological individuals, including psychopaths. Something like that.

I've already shared it to my wall so the movement has begun.

You know what's really interesting? Maybe just a coincidence, but my girlfriend, while I was putting this together, feeling the clock ticking, chose tonight to get into a really argumentative mood, accusing me of all manner of selfish things, (caring about the internet more than her!) I've only had something like three or four serious arguments with her in the last two years, and tonight just happened to be one of them. Even updating this right now is being done under some emotional duress.

Luckily, I think she'll snap out of it after some sleep; she's normally quite reasonable and supportive of my efforts but she got worn down a lot today in an unusually difficult work situation. Perfect timing. It's hard when you care about somebody but are also able to see a predatorial manipulation in progress.

Knowing a possible (probable) reason for this bad luck timing makes it much easier to bear.

Ah well. I never expected the dark side to play fair.

I only have one suggestion. Considering that you use the word "psychopath" and psychopathology throughout the note and since it is the most important point, how about posting some links to articles or books that can give the reader , who is not familiar with how psychopathy affects and has influenced our society, a reference or more information to look into and educate himself about it?
Or the extra info could be added on SOTT (as a comment by the editors) if this note will be posted on SOTT.

Yes. You can give a fake name and data but you need a working email address, which doesn't have to be your main one.

You don't have to fill out all the things Facebook asks for. I don't. I know a few people who put in ridiculous things for 'work' and 'education' though. Ex : school: "Donald Duck University". Instead of pictures of yourself, its fine to put in pictures of animals you like, flowers, cars, things like that.

Facebook is something I avoid for many reasons, but it's also a networking nexus where much of the on-line world congregates, and that makes it important if you want to have an effect on culture.

I prefer the steady and less frenetic quality of a forum like this one, which is both discussion forum and archive in one. This type of interface allows for much more detailed thinking processes to unfold whereas Facebook seems to interface best with and function almost entirely in the short term memories of is users. If it's more than a few hours old, it might as well not exist at all. I think that's probably by design. Also, it's controlled by shadowy financiers who are without question data-mining.

But then, I also avoided hanging out at the primary watering holes during school where similar energies existed, much preferring smaller groups of people with specialized interests. Seemed to serve me well enough then as it does now.

But there is power in Facebook. There's no question about that. The question is, how do you want to interface with the world?
