WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT APRIL 22_2023

There is a lot of seismic activity in the western Pacific, mainly in Southeast Asia. The final magnitude for the preliminary 6.3 earthquake in Banda Sea remains at M6.0 with a strong aftershock M5.5

Eight hours later Indonesia was again shaken by two strong earthquakes. The preliminary M6.1 earthquake was upgraded to M5.8.

The image below shows the seismic activity of the last 24 hours in the Western Pacific.

According to Ka-tet fulcrum hypothesis, it is possible that there will be a response in Chile with a moderate to strong magnitude. Analyst Jesus Ramos estimates a magnitude of 7.3 to 7.4.
His hypothesis is that a large magnitude earthquake such as the one in Turkey is a fulcrum, which causes seismic waves to shoot to one side or the other.

The "shocks" from one side and the other would result in moderate to strong seismic activity.
With seismic activity in Southeast Asia, Jesus Ramos forecasts severe impact for Chile, Japan and Alaska.

As mentioned by Frank Hoogerbeets a seismic cluster
A clustering of strong to major seismic activity is likely to occur from 28 April to 1 May.

Analyst Jesús Ramos issues an alert for Chile after major seismic activity in the Western Pacific

Seismic Alert is too high for countries with higher possibility of something strong like #Chile #Japan #China #Turkey #Alaska the reality is that we are just waiting for the next impact 7.0+ or higher....

Another aftershock, very deep earthquakes .
Those earthquakes seem to be quite near to the Tonga - Karmadec Trench, this area is where the deepest earthquakes occur. So it is kind of normal.
At what depth do earthquakes occur? What is the significance of the depth?
...
the depths of earthquakes gives us important information about the Earth's structure and the tectonic setting where the earthquakes are occurring. The most prominent example of this is in subduction zones, where plates are colliding and one plate is being subducted beneath another.

The deepest earthquakes occur within the core of subducting slabs - oceanic plates that descend into the Earth's mantle from convergent plate boundaries, where a dense oceanic plate collides with a less dense continental plate and the former sinks beneath the latter.
Understanding Plate Motions
Scientists now have a fairly good understanding of how the plates move and how such movements relate to earthquake activity. Most movement occurs along narrow zones between plates where the results of plate-tectonic forces are most evident.

There are four types of plate boundaries:

Divergent boundaries -- where new crust is generated as the plates pull away from each other.
Convergent boundaries -- where crust is destroyed as one plate dives under another.
Transform boundaries -- where crust is neither produced nor destroyed as the plates slide horizontally past each other.
Plate boundary zones -- broad belts in which boundaries are not well defined and the effects of plate interaction are unclear.
...
1682656957801.pngOceanic-continental convergence also sustains many of the Earth's active volcanoes, such as those in the Andes and the Cascade Range in the Pacific Northwest. The eruptive activity is clearly associated with subduction, but scientists vigorously debate the possible sources of magma: Is magma generated by the partial melting of the subducted oceanic slab, or the overlying continental lithosphere, or both?

I do recall the Tonga's eruption but earthquakes are more to the left, according to the maps.
