From a recent session:

Q: (MK Scarlett) Can so-called "orographic" clouds, such as lenticular ones, in some cases, be precursors of earthquakes?

A: Yes

Q: (MK Scarlett) What is the average period (in days) between the atmospheric fluctuation that forms these cloud anomalies and a potential earthquake?

A: 3 to 7.

Seems accurate enough to monitor more closely…

● Earthquake Forecast: Late last night, there was a Moon, Earth, Neptune conjunction that was followed by Sun, Mercury, Earth, this planetary conjunction is not too critical, but the combination of the two may result in a seismic surge that may not exceed M6. A similar convergence will occur on May 4.

This would be Moon, Earth, Jupiter followed by Mercury, Sun, Uranus. As a result we can have a seismic surge up to a M6 in the worst case, it depends on the crustal conditions and stress between faults.

Atmospheric fluctuations on April 29 point to southern California and eastern New Zealand.

URGENT🚨
More than 100 #earthquakes have shaken in less than a week #California and northern #Mexico right on the dangerous Imperial fault that triggered a 7.2 in 2010 energy also impinges on the San Andreas fault #ELEVATED #SeismicAlert these days
Jesus Ramos via Twitter.

Other fluctuations seem to indicate the Mediterranean, but it is not a convincing fluctuation.

On the other hand there is a really significant fluctuation marking the region east of Assan in Asia and south of Myanmar, Bangladesh and northern Sumatta. This region may experience increased seismic activity this year.
20230502_184205.jpg

In conclusion, no really large seismic activity is expected this week in a M6 boundary.

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake, which measured a strong 6 on the shindo (intensity) scale, jolted Ishikawa Prefecture on Friday afternoon, with authorities investigating reports of injuries and collapsed buildings.

There was no threat of a tsunami, but sea level changes of less than 20 cm were possible, the Meteorological Agency said. Local police in the city of Suzu, Ishikawa Prefecture — near the quake’s epicenter — said there were reports of injuries and that several buildings had collapsed, NHK reported.

The quake occurred at 2:42 p.m. on the northern tip of Ishikawa Prefecture’s Noto Peninsula on the Sea of Japan coast, located about 300 kilometers northwest of Tokyo. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Strong 6, which was recorded in the city of Suzu, is the second-highest level on Japan’s intensity scale. The level of shaking can make it “impossible to remain standing or move without crawling,” the Meteorological Agency says.

In an emergency news conference on Friday afternoon, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said the government was working to respond to the quake.

“We will continue to assess the extent of the damage and, in close cooperation with local authorities, will do our best to implement emergency-disaster measures,” Matsuno said.

He called on citizens to pay close attention to evacuation information announced by local authorities, as well as information on television, radio and the internet.

Matsuno added that the area could be hit by aftershocks of a similar strength. An quake measuring shindo 4 followed soon after the initial jolt.

The quake led to the suspension of some train lines, including the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Nagano and Kanazawa stations, West Japan Railway said. Parts of that section later resumed service.

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings reported no damage at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Plant in Niigata Prefecture, while Hokuriku Electric Power reported no problems at the Shika nuclear power plant in Ishikawa Prefecture.

[Updated from time to time] Damage status is Ishikawa Prefecture, seismic intensity 6 strong, one man cardiopulmonary arrest

[Breaking news JUST IN] Seismic intensity 6 strong, 3 houses collapsed, information about 2 people involved Ishikawa Suzu City

5.2-magnitude earthquake injures three in southwest China

The quake has caused varying degrees of damage to residential houses, as well as water, electricity, traffic, communication and other infrastructure facilities in the area and around the epicenter, Zhang Yunyi, deputy mayor of Baoshan, told a press conference Wednesday morning.

More than 2,400 people have been dispatched to the disaster area to carry out search and rescue operations. A total of 365 tents, 734 folding beds and 1,470 cotton quilts have been assigned to the affected areas, Zhang added.

The villages of Wayao, Shuizhai and Banqiao, all administered by Longyang district, are among the worst affected. So far, 2,805 houses in the three places are known to have been damaged and more than 11,000 local residents have been relocated to safer places.
