Earthquakes around the world

First video: Earthquake statistics across the Earth since 1980. (Unfortunately in Russian, but it is easy to understand. He took all the quakes from the ISC database higher than 6 magnitude. Drastic rise in 2022-2023++).

The second video: The number of earthquakes on January 1, 2024

His comment: The earth is literally falling apart, and this is a much more serious and global problem than "CO2 emissions from farm animals," BUT for some reason everyone is silent about it.

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT MAY 06_2024

Moderate levels of seismic activity occurred in the past 24 hours. A strong magnitude 5.6 earthquake occurred in the Philippine Sea near the coast of Taiwan. This quake was likely an aftershock of the 7.4 quake Philippine Sea, which occurred 5 weeks ago on April 3. The quake might have been felt by over 23.7 million people across 3 countries: Taiwan, China, and Japan. USGS issued a Green alert for shaking-related fatalities and economic losses. Seven minutes later a second aftershock occurred with a magnitude 5.4. The strongest-ever (since 1900) recorded quake in this area measured magnitude 8.2. It occurred 104 years ago.

Taipei seismic station located at km from epicenter recorded the following seismogram:
TATO.IU.00.BHZ.2024.127.09.41.00.019-2024.127.10.10.30.969.bp-0.1-10.0.png

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT MAY 11_2024

Low levels of seismic activity occurred in the past 24 hours. On October 28-29, 2003, the solar event known as the "the Great Halloween Solar Storm" occurred.
Two decades ago, the sun played a rather spooky Halloween trick when it unleashed a series of massive solar storms in late October 2003, some of which hit the Earth. With little warning, three massive and very intense sunspot groups emerged on the sun's surface in late October, with the largest measuring over 13 times the size of Earth.

Days after the Great Halloween Storm, two significant earthquakes were recorded, one hitting Japan and the other New Zealand.

Will we see a similar event again? At the moment we have low levels of seismic activity and no significant events (M6+) have been reported for Central and South America in the last month, for example (including Mexico) so let's wait to see what the recent extreme geomagnetic storms in progress have in store for us. By the way, we have almost three years without an M8+ earthquake.

The total number of earthquakes recorded worldwide in the last 24 hours has decreased to 850 which is within normal range of activity.

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT MAY 12_2024

Moderate levels of seismic activity occurred in the past 24 hours. A very strong magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred in the North Pacific Ocean near the coast of Chiapas, Mexico. The earthquake was felt by over 15.2 million people across 2 countries: Guatemala (13.2 million) and Mexico (2 million). The closest larger town where the quake might have been felt is Tapachula de Cordova y Ordoñez, a city with more than 200,000 inhabitants in Mexico, in 87 km distance northeast of the epicenter. USGS issued a Yellow (moderate) alert for shaking-related fatalities and economic losses. No aftershocks have been recorded so far. The strongest-ever (since 1900) recorded quake in this area measured magnitude 8.1. It occurred 7 years ago.

Tepich, Yucatan, Mexico seismic station located at 814vkm from epicenter recorded the following seismogram

At the moment we have low levels of seismic activity and no significant events (M6+) have been reported for Central and South America in the last month, for example, (including Mexico) so let's wait to see what the recent extreme geomagnetic storms in progress have in store for us
The M6.4 earthquake broke the silence of more than two months in the Americas for M6+ earthquakes. A similar event may be coming in response in North and South America.

WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKE REPORT MAY 13_2024

Moderate levels of seismic activity occurred in the past 24 hours. According to the Servicio Sismologico Nacional de Mexico (SSN), As of 14:00 hours on May 13, 139 aftershocks have been recorded from the M5.0 earthquake that occurred in Mexicali on May 12, the largest of magnitude M4.6, while 88 aftershocks have been recorded from the M6.2 earthquake that occurred in Chiapas on 12 May, the largest of magnitude M 4.6.

"The seismic swarm in Mexicali was recorded in a zone of Fault Intersection (Cerro Prieto, H, Michoacán, Imperial and others), all belonging to the San Andres Fault and Fracture System, of Right Lateral transform type and with SE-NW direction. All the seismicity generated in this region is due to this Active Structural System" stated geologist Francisco Romero.
