Éiriú-Eolas - Breathing Program

I did the full program Thursday night. I found a more comfortable sitting position for three stage breathing, so it seemed to go by a lot faster. I don't remember any of the meditation portion.

I just wanted to say that I recently started doing EE again after a long hiatus. I always seemed to be "too busy" to ever do it, but now I am making time.

I did the full program 3 times this week. The first two times were really good and very relaxing. When I did the full program last night, half way through the Ba-Ha portion I had a strange feeling like I wanted to throw up/cry really hard. It was very strange, but afterwards I felt amazing and energetic.

Sounds good, but also don't overdo beatha, two times is sufficient and recommended.

Thanks Gawan...I remember this recommendation...for some reason it felt like I was craving doing another full session. This coming week I will keep it to only 2 times. :) I don't want to over do it

I did the full EE program last night and it was extremely relaxing. I feel so calm and relaxed today.

The night before last, I had a pretty horrifying dream of a man attempting to rape me. I was screaming for help, but no one heard me. I was doing a pretty good job of fighting him off, but he was cutting my arm and hand with a knife when I was blocking him.

maybe I am working through feelings in my dreams that have been brought up with the practice of EE.

I think I did the full program last night Monday. I always sit and remember three stage breathing. I've been laying down for beatha and meditation. I seem to be falling asleep because I don't remember most of it, like last night.

I have had wonderful success with E.E. in its ability to help relieve terribly sore muscles and pinched nerves that would have made my moving about doing simple daily tasks nearly impossible. I believe these are from a car accident that happened in 2007 because before this I never got pinched nerves or so sore I could barely move. I am glad to not be on drugs of any kind in order to get relief. I LOVE E.E.!

I wonder if your muscle problems were related to trauma from the accident as in In An Unspoken Voice by Peter Levine?

Thank you, monotonic- Yes, I agree with your 'wondering'. I think that there are things that get said or are done in situations that I face that still trigger a freezing effect and I NEED to learn how to change things. Not just due to the recent muscle issues I have been having but in order to help with the trauma I had in my formative years. I believe and have had input from others that I am showing signs of PTSD symptoms from both.

I found the thread on it in here and it is of great interest to me. Though, at the moment am unemployed with no $ coming in, so funds for books are non existent. (But as this would be the perfect time to work on this.) If you know of someway I can read, In An Unspoken Voice in full please, let me know. I would love to get my hands on it.

Again, Thank you ! :flowers:

Your dream reminds me of a being a 'Dark man dream'. One example is discussed here: http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,13115.msg95603.html#msg95603 There are many others which can be found by inserting "Dark man" with the quotes into the forum search field.

Thank you for this Thorbiorn. I read that link and did some searching around for "Dark Man". I am also going to re read that part in the book "women who run with wolves."

I'm like you familiar with the experience of sleeping through some parts of EE and not remembering much afterwards. If falling asleep too early during EE bothers you, you might like to try and split it up a bit. One option I have tried is doing the 3 stage part in the morning, the Beatha part in the early evening and the POTS just before bed. Sometimes, I have also done the whole program in the late afternoon followed by the daily POTS before bed. Recently, I had a very busy day ahead of me and decided to do the whole program in the morning rather than wait until I would be exhausted and consequently sleep through pretty much the whole program late at night. That also worked nicely. Sometimes I do Beatha when lying down, but mostly I do it sitting up.

I use EE to fall back asleep when I am having problems with insomnia. I woke up at 3 AM this morning with a bad case -- I made it all the way into POTS before finally passing out again. More often, I fall back asleep during Beatha.

I don't know why I am having so much trouble sleeping but I am glad to have EE as a way of dealing with it.

Had a great EE session last night, followed by a great sleep. (I can't praise them blackout blinds enough!) :cheer:

I feel much more calm, focused and mentally 'lighter' today.

I've noticed at times when I do EE before bed I'll often not remember any dreams. Then again it could be the Magnesium/Zinc, as I never forget to take it once I've done EE.

I did the full program 2 nights ago a couple hours before bedtime. This time I was totally focused and aware of beatha, though part of it had to do with my little child climbing over me. With meditation, I was somewhat more aware and probably fell asleep in the middle.

My only thought about falling asleep is whether I'm missing out on some benefits.
