Éiriú-Eolas - Breathing Program

Thought I might just "write aloud":
It's Thursday. I am going to do EE as soon as I have finished this very sentence.

Ready? First step...

"… notice all the sensations in your body - notice how your diaphragm feels - notice how your belly pushes out when your breathe - realax..."

EE is definitely very powerful as attested on this long thread, including by you two, Huxley and Keyhole. In my experience, the most dramatic benefits came in the first few months of practice back in 2009. Then, there's a periodic cycle where it doesn't seem to have such dramatic benefits (as in before/after starting the practice), but then I realize that there's much more subtle and deeper effects going on over a longer period of time. Even if there are periods where my practice is not as consistent due to time limitations. Whenever I get back to more regular practice the cumulative benefits become apparent again, but on a more subtle basis than in the beginning. FWIW.

I agree, when I started doing EE two years ago, it used to make me feel amazing! I used to be able to feel myself "floating" and all kinds, then it turned to "zoning out" and having wonderful effects from it. Nowadays, it doesn't feel immediately beneficial, in fact sometimes when I have a really good session, the day afterwards is just depressing and my moods are everywhere (probably processing emotions). So, it's a hit and miss with how it will make me feel - though it's hard to remember that there are deeper benefits that we aren't even aware of.

I agree too, I reckon the first few times would provoke an enormous "clear out" of repressed emotions and when they are dealt with things even out and the effects don't seem so dramatic. After regular practice I would imagine that the releases come in a more "drop by drop" form and so we don't notice them as much but I have faith that it's working. As someone who is constantly busying myself with tasks and reading I am thankful to give myself some time to relax and practice. It reminds me of a song title which I love "nothing is something worth doing". ;)

OK quick question.

1. Can Reiki be replacement for EE?
2. Can I do EE twice time per day (beatha - 1-2 times per week, but 2 times per day ordinary EE)? POTS will be done once per day.

Quick answers:

1. No, they are two different things.

2. As you wish, but beware the consequences. Usually the whole EE program twice a week fits most people, unless there are strong emotional reactions in which case the beatha part should be skipped. There is no benefit to over doing it. Also, beatha should be avoided in case of some conditions like epilepsy, bipolar disorder, etc. or in case of taking medications that alter the mood.

Hope it helps.

If you mean by 'ordinary EE' doing pipe breathing, and Warrior's breathing, you may do this as often as is appropriate for you each day. At the beginning, when starting to do EE, it is good practice to do pipe breathing often so as to get into the habit of belly-breathing, also for when you feel stressed during the day. Also, Warrior's breath is a great way to start the day!

I'm surprised to read the disruption that causes you this program because I feel only happiness to follow the 2 times a week, Monday and Thursday evening ...
Maybe I do not do well breaths yet are well explained in French? ... I ask myself questions? ...
I recite several times daily the Prayer of the Soul which also soothes me ...

Every person reacts differently. For some not much is felt for a long time (like for myself) and changes are notable only over time, for others there can be distressing things coming to the surface, especially with the beatha portion, in which case we generally recommend to do the beatha portion less often or to skip it altogether for a while until things have calmed down.

Hope that helps!

I have been doing this program for quite some time (I have difficulties to find time to do it every day though, but I have done it every day for at least 3 weeks in a row at some point) and I also just feel very relax and peaceful during and after the practice. I have no other reaction.

PERLOU, as nicklebleu said, everyone is different. It's great that you haven't had any really strong negative things come up or overwhelming releases. Just to clarify, when I said I had the most pronounced benefits in the first few months of practice, I meant that I was also much more relaxed. Certain obsessive-compulsive type things faded away (I didn't have obsessive-compulsive disorder, though, just certain things that could be interpreted as mild OCD behaviors). A certain "intensity" also was relieved - I was much more in a relaxed alertness without that "intensity" which was present to more or less degrees for decades. Hope this clarifies and helps some. Some people do have very strong emotional releases though (for example, just heavy crying, etc.).

Merci car j'avais peur de mal faire le programme...

Thank you because I was afraid to hurt the program ...

Thank you for your answers, I was lucky not to be facing these painful experiences ...
However, EE brings me a lot of serenity and vibration in my body that is fun to live ...
I think it is not recommended to do it every day but only 2 once a week ...
Good luck to everyone ...

Thanks for reply mkrnhr & Prodigal Son

I was thinking that Reiki is replacement for EE.
There was a mention that it is not recommended to do Reiki and EE the same day. I can't find the post / thread / FAQ info.

And it was highlighted that EE develops and cleans emotional center and heart (higher emotional center). And 'cleans' soul?

Regarding Reiki in this transcript (03-12-94)
There was a mention that it does something similar.
Q: (L) So that our continual use of Reiki and application to ourselves and each other literally would cleanse us from our karmic burdens, memories or scars of the soul?

A: Yes.

So I just wanted to replace that :)

Next thing is that full EE session takes about 1-1.5h.
Full Reiki session can take 40mins (for yourself - info from friend, he was initialized by Reiki master in Poland).

So I was thinking : boom I am gonna replace EE with Reiki, you can do that faster. :)
