Perhaps a true 'lone nut' on the left, or a walk-in, or a Manchurian type, but one guy in a tree with a small caliber weapon sounds like amateur hour, but it could be 'made to look like amateur hour'. People are already calling it fake, strange times.

My partner just got a text from somebody whose friend was at the rally. He said "somebody between the gunman and Trump did get shot, they were doing CPR on them. Watching that many thousands of people Hit the Dirt to get out of cover was crazy. The shooter was tucked down in the woods somewhere, we watched the Secret Service on the roof shooting at him."

This is an eyewitness report.

Reporters on the scene saw smoke and heard what they initially thought were fireworks before everyone ducked and law enforcement encircled Trump.

Screams from the audience rang out as the scene unfolded.

Speaking in a parking lot near the event side, a mother and son who were attending the rally told NBC News that people in the crowd were injured and carried away. People remained at the scene for 10 to 15 minutes after Trump was taken away, after which hey were then told it was an active crime scene and all attendees were escorted out.

It is difficult to know at the moment whether the shooter was arrested or shot, since apparently one person died as a result of the gunshots and another would be in serious condition.

It's too early to come to any conclusions, and I should have been in bed already, but still, if, as the media say, there were 9 shots fired, I am surprised that only his ear was injured. But if the shooter is a liberal/antifa, it makes more sense.

Trump happened to turn his head just before the shots - IF he was looking out at the crowd in that moment instead it would surely have hit him directly in the head. Perhaps some divine timing is the reason he is still alive.

It's too early to come to any conclusions, and I should have been in bed already, but still, if, as the media say, there were 9 shots fired, I am surprised that only his ear was injured. But if the shooter is a liberal/antifa, it makes more sense.

My take on the footage was that the first 3 shots were the shooter followed by a few seconds of silence followed by a small barrage which I am assuming was the secret service or other law enforcement.

That’s just my take and I could be wrong. So it would have been only 3 shots at Trump.
