General mental health decline

I saw this when I taught music privately. I had several homes that had an autistic child. During conversation with the parents I would come to discover that they firmly believed, due to tremendous amounts of research, that the autism was indeed caused by the required vaccines. As I came to understand; no vaccines, no entry into school.
It's sad because in 45 out of the 50 US states, the states provide a religious exemption or personal belief exemption to vaccines so that the kids can go to school without vaccines.

Well, my take on it is that you are where you fit.

If you’re a square peg, then you’re going to be grouped into the square holes with the other square pegs. If you decide you prefer the way the round pegs look, and you slowly start to smooth off your edges and over time become one of those round pegs, then you’re not going to fit in the square hole any more.

Then you just need some sort of ‘bump’ to happen and with a bit of luck, you’ll roll around and wind up in one of those round holes.

You didn’t make the round hole; you made yourself round.
Thank you T.C.- I recall the Cs saying once we have the ability to create universes and live there if we choose- maybe on a small scale is how to start. Definitely some weird stuff happening, kind of exciting and scary at the same time. The shift is accelerating, for sure. Going to be interesting. 🤔

I saw the new fountain in Viene to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the city and remembered this thread. How did it happen? When did humanity lose its creativity and sense of aesthetics?
I saw that... 1.8 million euros to create something that doesn't look any better than a pile of garbage, and they're standing there contratulating each other on how tasteful their art knowledge is.

It's like that story about the emperor having no clothes, and their ridiculous attempts at pretending that the idiotic display in front of them is somehow artistic.

Thanks for sharing, I haven't seen this before and it does show our current cultural malaise. This destruction of beauty and its replacement with caricatures has to be a deliberate attempt to erase anything that points to something higher and that might inspire human lives.

How did we go from this

It is sad to see what is happening to a large part of humanity.
It makes me sad, for what kind of crap we involuntary payed for...
Unbelievable how degraded this piece of "art" looks like, the music in the X fits there very well... :barf:

If you read that quote about us having the ability to create universes, it’s followed by the line that we are all duplicates of the universe we find ourselves in.

So what they were really saying is that if we change ourselves, we change our universe.

“Square peg, round hole”.

Iain McGilchrist talks a bit about the degradation of art in both The Master and His Emissary and The Matter with Things. He presents the case that increasing reliance on the left hemisphere in a period of history manifests as a simplification of artistic style and representation of people and objects. Things become flatter and more symbolic, not a reflection of beauty which results from attendance to the real world rather than the represented world. It makes sense to me - depth and perspective, which are needed for great sculpture, require the right hemisphere to be fully functioning.

Bravo to Trump who has the courage to say what the corrupt media does not say. "Autism has become an epidemic over the last 25 years. You take this beautiful baby and they pump it like a horse, I've seen babies get sick from vaccines and they get autistic"Of course he is right!!

This video, released recently, talks about what they call "generation-alpha" or "ipad kids":
It looks like kids today, who are exposed to portable screens from an earlier age than they gen-Z predecessors, are bound to experience more pronounced (irreversible?) developmental issues, with virtually no socialization or growth in the real world. There are some alarming trends already like more narcissism, emotional deregulation, and cognitive decline, but it looks like it's going to be worse, especially in the post-industrial world we're in.

mkrnhr, yes, recent studies have uncovered a worrisome correlation between young children exposed to portable screens and developmental issues.

The early years are crucial for a child's development, as their brains rapidly absorb and process information.

However, excessive screen time at such a tender age can hinder their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

Screen time is often associated with language delays, poor communication skills, decreased attention span, and even behavioral problems.

This is so sad. :(

I remember a little while back reading how people who would spend several hours a day on a video game, could experience hallucinations of it in real life. Some strong enough to affect their behavior and their choices, some cases were extreme but I daresay that with some digital detox most individuals were fine and capable of distinguishing between real life and the video game world.

However, there's another factor, most video game players then, were kids who had enough reality growing up where there was enough to anchor them back into it, these kids who are watching screens at such an early age, spend more time there than in reality, I can only imagine where the learning disabilities come from and what those will turn into neurologically when they grow up.

Great point Alejo about gamers back in the day having enough reality growing up to anchor them.

Indeed, and there's another factor that just came to mind as I was re reading my post, and seeing some of the practices parents have these days of just letting their kids plug in for hours.

A video game requires a form of active attention to be enjoyed, that is, it can be dissociating for sure, but there's a level of interaction that is awake, to a degree of course. However, the iPad kids are mostly watching content, videos or movies, and all they do is sit there and stare with no participation on their end whatsoever, that has to be even worse, it's pure dissociation.

It is so ugly.
I observed in the last 20 to 30 years , probably even more, that the PTB ( in my opinion) intentionally make the world ugly with architecture and destroying everything that has beauty or meaning or spirit.
From the music to movies to architecture or food or lifestyle.
For unaware they systematically try to replace all the good things designed by DCM with cold, ugly, non creative, empty "stuff " that influence us on every level.
Fortunately for us, the incredible natural design called - the nature, is still available for us that our soul can rest and enjoy the sacred patterns and creative boundless energies of DCM.
I am grateful to DCM that I can still enjoy and appreciate "little " things in life like sound of the ocean waves and smell the salt in the air, the soft breeze of the wind on my skin, the trees and the beautiful landscape of endless forest, the crystal clear turquoise water on the beach, the innocence reflects in the eyes of toddlers and domestic animals.
I could go on and on but you get the picture.

All glory to Divine Cosmic Mind.

That's a good point, and I've gone back and forth on it. On the one hand, sometimes I think that it's all coming from without, our world is purposefully being stripped of beauty, which connects the artist with the observer, and it embodies so many principles that keep us "spiritual" in a sense.

But then I also think about the fact that there's a lot of ugliness within human beings as it is and that may be what is being expressed, there is obviously no reason to separate human beings from our environment both physical and otherwise, so there is a relation in what is being expressed, but our agency also needs to be factored in, mostly because that is the only place where we could do something about it.
