Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): General information and discussion of Home Units

One thing i noticed so far is the crazy dreams I started having since beginning HBOT. Before it would be once maybe twice a year that i would remember the dreams. Now its like crazy dreams every night all night long - even if i wake up and fall asleep the dreams continue where they stopped.

It is better to have a paper and pen next to the bed and write them down when ever become conscious and remember. Dreams tend to fall under many categories. Some after mental processing goes away. If it is simple representations of physical processes (tiredness) at least you will know. If it is accessing the mental areas which were not accessed before, you will know. If it is outside interference at least you will have some idea and so on. Initially many of us felt the change in the dream state.

I checked all the models on Барокамера купить | Кислородная капсула и камера - цена в СПб | Эверест Барокамеры They do not go above 1.4, and write the range is 1.1 to 1.3. From a machine translation of the documentation:

This is the description for Everest 0.8:

And for the more solidly build BLKS-303MK

There are no prices on the website, one will have to contact them. Their office in St Petersburg.
I too have researched this manufacturer's website and it is not trustworthy.
1. All their soft chamber models can only withstand 1.1-1.4 atm. And on Vkontakte on their page I found an angry review from a buyer from Nizhny Novgorod, that these sellers are unreliable (Maybe it's a competitor's trick ;-) ).
Although it would be interesting to know how much these chamber sell for? But alas they do not have models with higher pressure.

2. I do not understand why they put on their website a professional chamber BLKS-303MK that can only be used when connected to oxygen by a special circuit. They gave wrong information about it. The chamber is designed to withstand a maximum pressure of 3 atm, not 1.4.
This chamber is produced by another manufacturer - the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Centre in Moscow. It is the one I use to make HBO at a nearby hospital.

It requires a significant flow of oxygen, but not from an oxygen concentrator. This hyperbaric chamber is definitely not for home use. It is too complicated to operate.

Approximate oxygen consumption:
- in isopression and decompression mode 52.5l/min.
- in purging and compression mode 350 l/min.
- 6.0 m3 during one hour treatment session BLKS303_new.jpgConnection blcs303.jpg

This is the description for Everest 0.8: An oxygen concentrator generates oxygen from the surrounding air. Increases oxygen content up to 35%.

On wellness salon's site it says that the chamber goes up to 38%, but in person the owner mentioned that they measured it and the oxygen levels within the chamber were 40% and up to 45%.

I wonder how much the Russian unit costs and are there units available that do 1.5 and 2?

Well, the short answer is that the offers are not particularly cheaper, and there are no soft units more than 1.3-1.4 ATA, but there are hard hospital type units that can go up to 2 ATA and higher.

***

It seems like there are primarily two types of Russian made HBOT units out there. The soft type by Everest that doesn't go above 1.4 ATA, but mostly up to 1.3 ATA, and there are hard types that can be found mostly in hospitals that can go up to 2 ATA and higher.

Here are the spects for the hard units. Here's an example of a hard unit that costs more than 70 thousand dollars, but can be found for 50 thousand dollars as well. But it doesn't go above 1 ATA. I am sure it's possible to find hard units cheaper than this.

Here's a screenshot of the prices for the Everest units. It's not clear when exactly these prices were relevant, so it's possible that the prices could be lower, but probably not by much. The cheapest is around 15-16 thousand dollars.

Russians also sell Chinese, Koreyan, US and Canada units (Oxysys, Macy-Pen, Solace, O2 Health and others) and sometimes they are cheaper, but not always. Here are examples of prices. The starting price for the new unit goes above 10 thousand dollars, and it's possible to by second hand unit for around 4500-5000$. Or here there is an old advert for Macy-Pen unit that went for almost 7000$. Or here someone sells a JAY HBOT unit for almost 6000$.

It appears that it's probably cheaper to buy it directly from the seller abroad. Here's on Ali Express for 2600-3600$.

But also be aware that some emotional issues can begin to surface and possibly without any real cognitive awareness. Just the body remembering as the neural connections are being repaired.
I wanted to revisit this based on my notes, as it's something I missed when writing the update.
I've had several emotional releases, that increased in depth (perhaps all the way back to my earliest traumas?) over the last week or so. Either after a session but mostly during it. The best way to describe it is it feels like an old wound being lanced and drained.
I've got close to big emotional releases before in EE, but always felt blocked/unsafe at some level. These are way deeper than with EE personally - although I imagine EE will work much better now too.
I guess the brain needs to be less inflamed/more balanced, and it requires much more energy to actually fully deal with some traumas.

What if there is a regulation about selling this kind of equipment to the public or non-professionals, but they can get away with it by not being explicit? For instance, there are many herbs sold in the EU where any benefits are not allowed to be listed, but the herbs are still sold, only the benefits you will have to look up in a book, or get from a herbalist. In this case, they promote low range high pressure systems, so one that can take 3 can do less too, just like many cars can do much better than the top speed limit.

While looking into the question, I found
40 минут в барокамере заменяют трое суток в сосновом бору
40 minutes in a pressure chamber replaces three days in a pine forest
What can 450 liters of oxygen do to a person and what sensations do you experience inside the pressure chamber? Two such devices are installed in the city hospital on Tsiolkovsky Street. Egor Kanavin visited the session and found out how useful such a procedure is.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) stimulates the production of antioxidants by the body - substances responsible for the normal functioning of cells, organs and systems, increasing life expectancy. Roman Rashidovich Karimov, barotherapist of the highest qualification category, member of the Russian Association of Hyperbaric Medicine and Technology Specialists, will tell you more about HBO.

Svetlana Alekseevna Komissarova, an anesthesiologist and resuscitator, spoke about the treatment by hyperbaric oxygenation in the department of restorative medicine at the Medicina clinic in the program 'On Tone' on the Yu TV channel.

The indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy are so extensive that it is difficult to find a disease and conditions in which this method has not been effective. The main indications are:

- diseases of the central nervous system (trauma of the brain and spinal cord, vegetovascular dystonia, dyscirculatory encephalopathy, circulatory disorders of the brain, migraine, sleep disorders);
- diseases of the peripheral nervous system (neuropathies, osteochondrosis of the spine, neuralgia);
- diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagitis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, liver failure, hepatitis, colitis, liver cirrhosis);
- diseases of the cardiovascular system (ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris, heart failure, arrhythmias);
- surgical diseases (preparation for surgery, postoperative period, burns, limb injuries, peritonitis, sepsis, varicose veins of the lower extremities, obliterating diseases of the extremities, trophic disorders of soft tissues);
- diseases of the endocrine system (diabetes mellitus and its complications, thyrotoxicosis);
- urological diseases (acute and chronic renal failure, nephritis, cystitis, prostatitis, sexual dysfunction in men);
- diseases of the ENT organs (sensorineural hearing loss);
- eye diseases (impaired circulation of the retina, optic nerve dystrophy);
- diseases of the oral cavity (periodontal disease, periodontitis, gingivitis, stomatitis);
-Cosmetology (reducing the number of wrinkles, dryness and lethargy of the skin, restoring its elasticity);
-decreased immunity, chronic fatigue syndrome;
- carbon monoxide poisoning, combustion products, technical fluids, opiates, alcohol withdrawal syndrome;
- obstetric pathology and gynecological diseases (pathology of pregnant women, hypoxia and hypotrophy of the fetus, the threat of abortion, infertility, chronic inflammatory diseases of the female genital area).

Почему пациентов с COVID-19 нужно лечить в барокамерах во время болезни и после (They use Sechrist brand).
Why patients with COVID-19 need to be treated in pressure chambers during illness and after
NII SP im. N.V. Sklifosovsky was the first in Russia to start using hyperbaric chambers for the treatment of severe intensive care patients with COVID-19: before the pandemic, infectious diseases were considered a contraindication for barosessions.

Why has the opinion of doctors and educational institutions about pressure chambers changed? What can a baroseance give to a patient who is about to be connected to a ventilator? How do patients feel in pressure chambers? Are they getting worse? How do their scores change?

All these questions with specific figures and examples will be answered by the head of the department of hyperbaric oxygenation Olga Arkadievna Levina.

Thank you for the information, @thorbiorn! In the last video, the doctor tells us that:
"According to our data, the claim of an increase in oxidative stress against the background of HBO is nothing more than a myth. In confirmation of this in patients with Covid-19 against the background of a course of HBO observed a decrease in the level of malonic aldehyde as a marker of the intensity of oxidative stress, as well as the normalization of the redox potential, which led to the conclusion that HBO not only does not lead to the development of oxidative stress, but also causes a decrease in lipid peroxidation processes and stimulates the production of antioxidants. In addition, a course of HBO led to normalization of apoptosis in the early stages of apoptotic death ...".

I'm at 94 sessions, and I have a winter job working in the forestry industry at a local tree nursery, which is a very labour intensive, lifting 15 to 20 lb blocks of trees for most of the day, lots of squatting and hours of wrist rolls during wrapping the trees into bundles to be shipped off and planted in the spring. After the first week, it feels like boot camp, but in a really good kinda way. Despite the soreness, which I've managed with topical DMSO and yoga, I am feeling really healthy.

Instead of physical activity being scary or a potential source of threat and damage (although there was uncertainty for me at first), now I feel like I can rise to the challenge. Well, so long as I continue to eat like a bear to keep up with caloric demands, of course! In short, I don't think I would've been able to do this job were it not for HBOT due to previous issues of chronic fatigue and back injuries.

I had an interesting experience in the HBOT to share, too. It was a few sessions, back, around the 85 mark or so. My specs are 1.5 ATA, 20/5, 20/5, then 10 min oxygen to finish off.

I most usually read in the HBOT, but at times I'll put down the book in order to feel the body, breathe, give myself a bit of reiki, do POTS, and just relax in general. Recently, during one of these R&R times, I had an experience of a flood of bright lights, accompanied by a really beautiful chorus of singing voices.

There was also a corresponding realization that was very powerful - suddenly my mind cleared of all noise and chaos, sort of like when the power goes out and suddenly the city is quiet. In that space of awareness, I could see that whatever came up - whether thoughts, emotions, sensations, moods, ideas, etc. - it was my choice as to whether or not I would add my life-energy to them, and allow them into the manifest world through me. This is a common theoretical understanding here on the forum, but this was a much more direct felt experience - and pretty joyful and celebratory! It felt very freeing.

After thinking about this for a while, I have considered that this might have been something esoteric or based on DNA changes and increased access to the information field, etc. I've also thought of the event as an audio-visual manifestations of a region of my brain coming back online. In one of his vids, Dr. Efrati has mentioned that during HBOT sessions for people with fibromyalgia, the therapy can bring regions of the brain back online that have been knocked out due to trauma such as early childhood abuse. This can lead to re-experiencing the buried negativity, and can be quite painful.

At one point in my life, before entering into the 4th Way Work, I was very involved in a regular and pretty specific Advaita Vedanta practice of self-remembering and non-identification. For various reasons, that fell to the wayside as I went deeper into psychological excavation, history, reading the Wave and Gurdjieff, that kinda stuff. Now, it seems that the previous self-remembering practice - or wherever that information was stored - has come back online somewhat. So this has me thinking that HBOT can also work in a positive direction to that described by Dr. Efrati... perhaps it's not just a re-encountering the negativity of the past that happens with HBOT, but also there is a possibility of the renewal of beneficial synaptic connections that were once knocked out or closed off. This can lead to a re-experiencing of buried positivity, and can be quite wonderful!

It's just a theory at this point, but fun stuff nonetheless.

I skipped a week just to see what would happen. Nothing in particular except maybe some swelling in my ankles, but I was sure glad to get back to HBOT last week.

Another new thing I noted: for some years, my fingernails were getting very ridged and cracked and peeled. It was distressing because I always had nice nails. Well, it seems my nails are coming back. Almost the entire nails are now without ridges, growing in since I started HBOT. And my clubbed little fingernail is now straight again.

My skin continues to improve and lose the most distressing signs of aging, i.e. dryness and crepey wrinkles. I think that probably all body tissues are affected this way, so maybe internal stuff is improving.

I have no idea when I will think I'm done. I'll just keep going and observing.

Oh, and I'm back to work finally. About ten days ago I started the work on the Caesar book. My brain seems to have settled down enough to work; the PTSD effects I was experiencing after 2019/2020/2021 seem to be fading.

Oh, one other thing: I have some small lipomas on my arm that seem to be getting smaller.

That's great Laura.

And it looks fun too...:hug2:
