Israeli attack on Gaza

After thinking a bit about it, as I was afraid people would just click hide comments from me when exposed to these images, I also shared some of the horrific pictures of dead children along with the comment:

"I'm sorry to get you in a sad mood by these images, but if it was your children wouldn't you want the world to witness, and act to stop the killing?"

And it might have contributed to the sharing of the list of dead children

A FB friend made me aware that Tears of Gaza is no longer available for viewing. When you press play, it reads:

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rhizome Intermedia

Rhizome Intermedia seems to be the company that distributed the film

Seems like someone pulled the strings to have it out of view at this time that the same things depicted in the film are taking place in Gaza :curse:

Now I'm getting the

Here is the headline on NBC news right now - http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/19/15282386-irans-fingerprints-on-hamas-weaponry-but-its-larger-role-in-israel-gaza-crisis-remains-murky?lite

"Iran's fingerprints on Hamas weaponry" - well, Iran isn't very well armed then. It looks like they're setting up a false flag inside Israel that will be blamed on Iran and thus, they strike Iran.

"Iran's fingerprints on Hamas weaponry" seems to be a theme running amuck in the press here too. Will be expecting more of this in this game of illness. Have been carefully reading articles by well known journalists in our country, who have as of late, suddenly become authoritarian subject specialists. It pains me to read what they say and what they avoid saying; how they craft their articles. Nothing new here, the editors seem to have them all playing this tune and there is just less and less of anyone saying anything contrary to the statuesque of protectionist lies and propaganda.

I posted about Gaza on my FB page last night -- I had only been doing 'likes' of other posts up to this point -- and the initial response was positive. Rather than post graphic photos, I posted links to four of the FB pages that have them (and that haven't been shut down). I remember, during the Vietnam war (in my high school years), the images in the news that stirred the protests.

I am surprised at times at who responds to what among my FB friends (those outside this group, that is). Clearly, I can't decide for them what they should not see.

I made a list of children under 13 (I guess over 13 is called teenagers) from http://palestinefrommyeyes.wordpress.com/2012/11/17/gazaunderattack-names-and-ages-of-killed-people-who-fell-victim-during-the-past-ongoing-israeli-attacks-on-gaza/
(also one pregnant woman as I guess an unborn child is still a child)

And shared on facebook (among many other things) but the children list, is so far what most people react to/share as even though killing of grown ups is horrifying too, we all react stronger when it is children. Thought I'd share here as well, incase others think that sharing this list might be a way to get people to do something:

Gaza: The Massacre of Hijazi Family [Video] http://sabbah.biz/mt/archives/2012/11/20/gaza-the-massacre-of-hijazi-family/

an "israeli" official confirming the intentional, deliberated act of murder of the Al-Dalou family.

“We operate slowly, identify the target and clean the area around it,” ~ Moshe Yaalon, minister for strategic affairs http://www.sott.net/article/253791-Deadly-mistake-IDF-wipes-out-Palestinian-family-due-to-technical-error#comment77213

Israel’s explanation for killing two journalists in Gaza? Palestinians aren’t journalists, they’re ‘targets’ http://mondoweiss.net/2012/11/israels-explanation-for-killing-two-journalists-in-gaza-palestinians-arent-journalists-theyre-targets.html

Geez, some people are just...I don't know what thoughts they are filling their head with! I've peen posting a bunch of Gaza-related material in the past week, and now an old school friend just sent me for the second time(!) a request (or whatever) for some nonsensical game on FB, I guess it's called Farmville or something.

I'm sorry, but this time I had enough and unfriended her. :bye:

If I unfriended everyone that sent me a game invitation, I wouldn't have enough friends left to bother with. I block the requests to the extent that I can figure out how to do so. I don't play any of the games and don't know how they work, but I wouldn't be surprised if the games themselves sent these requests automatically.

You haven't heard of FarmVille?

You can go to Privacy Settings-> Ads, Apps and Websites -> Edit Settings and "turn off platform" so you won't receive any game requests. But if you turn off that then you can't "like" articles on websites. I turned it off more than a year ago and I'm glad I did it.

Sadly you can add these two from yesterday to the list

Suhaib Fo’ad Hjazi, 2 years old.
Mohammed Fo’ad Hjazi, 3 years old.

And today

In an attack on Kishko street in Zaytoon street, two children were killed while playing football in front of their house:

125- Unknown

126- Unknown

The list is starting to have more unknowns, as I guess everything is getting more and more chaotic

I recommend you also watch this lecture by Ilan Pappe on the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. It makes quite clear what Israel has been doing since 1947/8 - and why there will never be peace:
