“Do I believe in conspiracies? Naah! Do I believe that powerful people would get together and plan for certain outcomes? Naah! Do I believe that powerful interests would operate outside the law and maybe even kill people? Naah! Do I believe secret government agencies might feel the need to assassinate a person and cover it up? Naah! I think everything in America is open and clean and above board and powerful people always play by the rules.” ~George Carlin

How do you know they are trustworthy?

Well, only way is to check the data, compare with other data from other sources, crosscheck again, network/discuss with others who've also researched the field, and see how it all fits together. The point is not to trust anything or anyone, the point is to check the evidence presented and to draw one's own conclusions. In short, if you're sincerely interested, do your own research… that's what this forum is about. We don't spoonfeed people here :)

Yep. On that note, I don't think any of us here think Keel or Vallee had a complete grasp of the subjects they talked about (I certainly don't). While more accurate than most in my view, their work is still just one thing: data to be sifted through, checked and refuted or verified. Take Fletcher Prouty. Yeah, he was military, but that doesn't necessarily mean the things he had to see were not true. Disinfo mixes in lies with truth. It can also be disinfo by virtue of what it leaves out. Even if what Prouty says is all true, the fact that he does not mention ANYTHING about the ties between the CIA and Mossad is telling to me. Perhaps he was not aware? Perhaps he did so for strategic purposes, or other? The fact is, the only way to get a handle on things like this is to read other sources for that information and use your brain to create a wider and more detailed picture of what is really going on. To reconcile contradictions or complementary information, or to identify a lie or a deceptive ruse when no reconciliation is possible.

With Keel I disagree with his views on the UFO coverup. I think Rich Dolan's work there is far more comprehensive and well-researched. But I think he is spot on with his views on the 'paranormal' aspects of the phenomena. As for Vallee, I think his idea of a 'control system' is very likely, but his interpretation of why exactly this system exists leaves much to be desired.

If a military dude says, "2+2=4", is he trustworthy? Maybe not, maybe I can find evidence that he's being paid to say that (among other things). But I can verify for myself his statement. I can even say, "This guy is a proven liar, but what he says here is true." I feel sorry for those people who would refuse to believe 2+2=4, simply because the person saying it is a gov shill (otherwise known as throwing the baby out with the bathwater). But then again, THAT is one purpose of disinformation, no? Just look at Alex Jones.

Solution? Use your brain, know your weaknesses, and trust no one. :halo:

The interesting thing about Prouty, in 'Secret Team' is that he starts off the book with quite a description of how compartmentalisation of info works, and how each faction is isolated from knowledge of other departments, and that when info is passed on it inevitably is incomplete, in addition to having things intentionally left out for all kinds of reasons (such as protecting the source etc). And then he continues with "so, here's my story...". It is like he's saying to the reader: "look, strong hint, I've told you how the land lies, and you're gonna have to read between the lines here".

Gawd I miss that man!! I don't really have any "heroes" but if I did, he would be at the top of the list!

I just realized something reading through some of the Anon posts. While we don't think we have much in common with them, or they us, we're ALL doing something the PTB hate with a passion...giving away information FOR FREE.

Whether or not you agree with what either group has to say, the information on the Cass forum, SOTT.net, the EE program, etc., as well as all the stuff they have on their sites is offered FREE for the taking.

This is a VERY scary concept to our corporate overlords, because they can't control "free"

Yeah, god! What WAS I thinking? I could have had a real cult going on here and could be swimming in dough and having people lay flowers at my feet ... And guess what? If I did that, I'd have to lie. And if I did that, the whackos would leave me alone because that's what they want: a guru not somebody who tells them there ain't no gurus and you ain't at the top of the food chain!

A good way to figure out truth from lies is to read as much as you can on as many relevant topics as possible, and then see if the combined picture that the information provides maps to what is going on in the world, as in, is it a good explanation for all of the unanswered questions about life on planet earth.

Or scrub the bathroom floor on my knees with a scrubbing pad after painting the window and dropping paint on the tile... or paint my own radiators... (what I was doing today between checking the forum).

Jake, have you ever, at any time, had any contact, of any description, with anyone who works for or has ever worked for the Jedburgh corp?

Since you left the military, have you, to your knowledge, had any contact with any active military personnel?

Have you, to your knowledge, ever had any contact with any private military companies?

I'd like to add "Are you "Xaman" aka "IamShaman" on the Worldrevolt.net?"

I have never had contact with anyone who works for Jedburgh Corp. I've never even heard of Jedburgh Corp until now.

The only contact I've had with active military personnel after the time I got out of the military was when I went to Austin, Texas back in late June 2010 to visit a buddy I used to work with on the Kaneohe Bay MCB Rifle Range.

I have never, to my knowledge, had any contact with any private military companies.

Guardian: I am not "Xaman" aka "IamShaman" on Worldrevolt.net, and I'd never heard of or seen Worldrevolt.net until now.

ROFLMAO I'll trade ya glamorous jobs, I had to clean out the goat pen between posts.

I just found this on the WiTP forum:

http://www.itproportal.com/2011/06/29/fbi-continues-lulzsec-investigation-nabs-29-year-old-lady-from-iowa/

LulzSec may have officially disbanded after 50 days of reign of terror, but law enforcement agencies in the US are showing no signs of slowing down the hunt for the members of the notorious hacking-collective.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reportedly raided an Iowa woman’s residence last week because of her alleged connections with LulzSec.

According to this report by the tech website Wired, the suspect, named Laurelai Bailey, 29 was confronted by FBI agents at her Davenport, Iowa home at 11 am last Thursday.

Apparently, she claims that the FBI agents, who were carrying with them a search warrant, had told her that they did not come to arrest her.

As revealed by Bailey, the conversation between her and the agents continued for almost five straight hours.

Not just that, the agents also asked her if she could infiltrate in to the group using her online friendship with some of the members of the infamous group, she claimed.

“They wanted to know if I could get close to them. I told them these people hate me… it wouldn’t do any good,” Bailey said in an interview with the Wired.

:lol2: I don't know there, Guardian... that's getting closer to "guru-ness"... Goats, sheep... they leave "offerings" for you to admire (and clean)... you are their "Guardian"... a slippery slope...

Wow! I left the thread at a few pages yesterday morning and when I came back this morning there were a bunch of new pages. So, I read for awhile, then did other stuff, then came back and finished reading. What a whirlwind of activity! I don't post much since I don't like being a "synchophant", and I prefer to read what's already on the site, do some research and generally any questions I may have are answered. I sincerely offer that as a valid approach to all the new people on the site. Not only is it recommended time and time again by the mods, it helps to keep a person from "reacting" instead of "thinking". For me, I still have a hard time grasping the concept that anyone could identify this site as a "cult". To me, it is like going to a university, only I don't have to pay someone to feed me information. Looking at the posts, it appears that the majority of the members have responded in an intelligent manner; that is, trying to ascertain whether jakesully or whoever he/she is an agent and if so, who he/she is aligned with. I sincerely hope that Laura & Co. have reached some tentative conclusions because this sort of stuff is really distracting (but sometimes really laugh-out-loud entertaining). I understand, however, that this sort of stuff is becoming more and more common and needs to be dealt with, especially when it involves death threats. My own take is that it is terrorism and that the bark is much larger than the bite, but that could change in an instant. Some people like to be anarchists for the jollies, some will actually act on their hallucinations. Everyone, please stay awake and aware.

Like Fox News? That's what you mean? Yeah, must be painful, eh?
