Massive 'drone swarm' in and around New Jersey: UFO flap, govt tech, or mass hysteria?

Also, the parking lot full of cars where their hazard lights start flashing... Not easy to do. You can't really just say, "Oh yeah, that was the effect of some radio waves".
Wasn't that a lot full of Teslas? I saw the tweets about the hazards flashing but just checked and its been community noted on X because the lights flashing are part of a Tesla light show:

"look at TikTok
Interesting that so many of the mysterious drone videos are appearing on TikTok that will be banned in the US on Jan. 19, 2025, the day before Trump's inauguration. Is there a sort of message being relayed that losing TikTok next month will eliminate an important source of public information? It just seems odd how this is occurring with this somewhat sudden incursion of unidentified drones/ufos.

Another development:

The FAA is in the spotlight after a string of mysterious drone sightings along the Eastern Seaboard, particularly in New Jersey, has left many questioning what’s going on. Things have escalated so quickly that FAA chief Mike Whittaker has even resigned as the situation deepens.
[...]
The mystery remains unresolved, and the resignation of Mike Whittaker has only added more confusion. As frustration grows, authorities are scrambling to get to the bottom of it and assure the public that they’re taking it seriously.

From the same article, this short vid has some informative bits from Red Cat CEO Jeffrey Thompson, a military and drone contractor:

The following is a video by a very interesting fellow. He is part of a group who does behavioral analysis, and makes videos on that subject. He is also in his own right an author, teacher in these sorts of things including interrogation, psy-ops, neuroscience and so on.

Pretty recently he discovered he has a degenerative brain disease and decided to start revealing some of his more uh, covert knowledge I guess. I think there are so many frauds in this genre, and people who tease truth, that there may genuinely be some honest people in the bunch and my feeling is that this guy is on the level as much as is safe for him to be.

In any case, he uses a lot of the safe language of hypothesis, theory, if this is the case - and so on - but I think he very cleverly applies some critical thinking explained in a way that regular people could get behind if they don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

This one definitely doesn't look like a drone. There are all kind of debunking comments in the post, though. Any ideas if it is a legit strangeness or not?
The aliens know Jesus :umm::wow: - yeah, not so funny.

Venus Evening star

It looked like a bright planet, such as Venus which graces the evening sky right now. When you focus on it, but the focus is slightly off - or you zoom in beyond capacity, you get a blurry disk instead - where you can see all kinds of pattern "flimmer". Also earth' atmospheric flimmer becomes more visible within optical / blurry disk.

I am sure astro photographers will be able to tell lots of stories about the many common optical phenomenas you get with earthy, optical tools. It's just most people are not used to them / unable to recognize them.

Edit: @mkrnhr you beat me first.:lol::-P

I doubt that it's authentic high strangeness, but it's disturbing either way. Will some people not be able to handle the situation very well? Are we going to see some more new syndromes... more mental illness?

More irresponsible reactions by the public:
Federal law enforcement officials warned the public on Monday to not shine high-powered lasers at flying objects at night as the public increasingly looks for drone activity following recent media reporting.

FBI Newark and New Jersey State Police said that there has been “an increase in pilots of manned aircraft being hit in the eyes with lasers because people on the ground think they see an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).”

Authorities also said that there has been increased concerns about people firing weapons at what they believe are UAS but, in reality, are manned aircraft.

“There could be dangerous and possibly deadly consequences if manned aircraft are targeted mistakenly as UAS,” the statement said.

A 17 day swarm over Langley Air Force Base (Virginia) in Dec. last year (2023)- At night too. Chased by local police. Langley officials canceled nighttime training missions, worried about potential collisions with the drone swarm, and moved the F-22 jet fighters to another base.

There is this short by Dolan that was posted an hour ago. He mentions Langley Air Force Base swarm. It's also possible to see that he is very perplexed and confused. Hopefully a longer version will be shared.
